Won't date a DZ. Com-er Won't date people named Michelle Won't date anyone without a heartbeat unless it stopped less than 3 hours ago

Do you have to wear a helmat
rogue108 replied to jump_or_die's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yeah maybe we should all have responsible avaitars where we are dressed in full combat armor. I think I going to drive to work from now on with my racing helmet, and add bright orange reflective strips to my car. Actually, I think I am going to stop skydiving cause that could kill me and live in steel vault with filtered air. -
Okay in my defense. I really don't examine avaitars, I was too busy look at what was in the foreground. So sue me i'm a guy. Alright...alright I'm just stupid. Yeah innocent and skybabe is like nitro and glycerine. The wild ones are usually passed out early, the innocent ones the ones you catch doing Tequilla shot from between the instructors legs at 2 am.

It took me a while to figure out that she was in the door. She looks cute in that picture too

I would have to agree with that statement to some degree. Aluminum has come a long way, but I still prefer carbon, steel, or titanium. Aluminum bikes make for great sprinting and climbing. I don't think I would pick one for a century though. Some of the new Easton aluminum tubesets don't feel a whole lot like aluminum

That used to be true until I need reliable transportation to the DZ. So I spent on a car, one I wanted. Then I wasn't getting to the DZ fast enough, so I spend more money to make it go faster. So my car is worth more than my rig, but it makes me think about how much I have spent my rig and canopies.

Lower Back: Has hurt ever since I hurt it packing like two years ago. It also didn't help that slept on it all wrong this last weekend. Last three Fingers on my left hand: Kinda hurts from time to time. Did that by smashing my hand on the ground during a carving landing.

That is a bummer...

2:0:0 2 Unforgetable Days, Unforgetable in a couple of ways... 0: What jumping ??? In the Northeast, I still need a canopy 0: I don't think I owe any beer, I guess it all depends on what you count as first. Later

why do some people have to be so fucking dumb!!!
rogue108 replied to payback462's topic in The Bonfire
He was just sitting there saying something about forgetting to do something. Then he turns around and goes I can't jump I forgot to stow my toggles. He just remembered ??? -

rogue108 replied to payback462's topic in The Bonfire
This was the same guy going "Damn, I can't jump" while he was in the plane on the ride up. I turn around to ask why. He tells me that he forgot to stow his toggles. I asked him he why he didn't notice it when he was packing. Didn't you see all the excess length on the steering lines ???. I guess not... I told him that he should make sure everything is checked before you close your rig, finding out on the ride up is not a good time to remember you forgot something, next time it could be worse. Some people = Darwin -
I already told you I am down. Lets do it.

Sabres have opening problems. It's no secret
rogue108 replied to TomSpoon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Crossposted...because TomSpoon got upset :( Let me see...I have personally owned 4 Sabres and jumped 6 different ones. I have jumped everysize from a 190 to a 120. I have put 400+ jumps on different sized Sabres and haven't had a problem with any of them. A brisk opening here and there but no real problems. This is a dead topic, quit kicking the dead horse. What's the point in rehashing it, to let everyone know that a Sabre opens hard. Exactly, its no secret people have known this for years. There are lots of solutions. If the bothers you enough buy another canopy. You have choice in what you jump. Boo Hoo...you hurt my feelings. Maybe you haven't noticed but I hardly post partly due to useless drivel that is discussed. Don't like the difference in opinion or are we supposed to be sheep and agree with you? -
That is pretty much the truth. If it makes the customer feel better i'll do it. Otherwise a standard pro-pack with good stows, straight lines. will do it. I have seen an old time jumper just frustrated and cut a hole in his slider with a knife, to get a faster opening.

More of Sabre opening problems. It's no secret

If they ever break ground on the project, it might happen. Doesn't look too promising

WARNING: DO NOT TALK ABOUT SKYDIVING WITH BOSS!
rogue108 replied to RkyMtnHigh's topic in The Bonfire
I am in the category that goes with the less they know about your private life the better. I was hooked on skydiving before I jumped, It was something I decided I want to do. and I happened to like it. However, I never really talked about it much. Eventually, something will leak hear and there, but I just down play it. I look at skydiving as something I do in my life (even though it takes up a large portion of it), and not my entire life. My job is also a portion of my life and it allows me to skydive. So I when I work...I work and when I play...I play. Its all give and take. Later
