  1. I will take 2000 to 1800 feet if its strictly a hop n pop. If it more than one person I will take 3500 and turn a couple of points and dump.
  2. Across Five Aprils - Blue Eyed Suicide
  3. I have a friend in Point, so I am in the area quite a bit. As well, there is a small Cessna DZ right up the road. Anyways, you really can't miss me either. Royal Blue jumpsuits, look lost most of the time . We can jump anytime. Always time for air
  4. I think I am working on 3 1/2 or so. I took most of 2002 off. Spent time packing and just not wanting to jump.
  5. Dave is the man. He is not officailly a coach but he can sure fly and his jumps are fun as hell. While you are at it ask him about choking the chicken to get your AC #.
  6. I will be at Crosskeys on the 19th and 20th. I don't think I will be able to make $13 dollar Weds on the 23rd. I have to return to work that day , who knows. I'll be there if you want to jump.
  7. I'll be there Dave. You haven't sent any e-mails out about it yet?
  8. This exactly what we need more regulations. So poilitcal people can decide what canopies I can buy or jump. Skydiving is a risky sport and there is a possibility of getting yourself killed. You can do lots of things in skydiving to increase you risk of dying. If its too risky take up knitting or chess. Its apprent that even with the new ISP that students don't get enough canopy control time or education. Like static line/IAD students used to get. Maybe a separate class on canopy flight would be helpful. A class that taught what the risers do when to use them. How toggle input can steer you to safety. These are things that should be incorporated into student progression. I was surprised this weekend by how many people didn't know that front risers could help you get back from a bad upwind spot. They just thought that front risers would put you in dive and that it was dangerous or they were only used by "experienced" canopy pilots for high performance landings. These were the same people making a landing decision at 300 feet into trees instead of picking a good off landing at 1500 feet. All these were all people under 200 sq foot plus canopies loading at 1:1 to maybe 1:2. My point of this entire diatribe is that its not necessarily a wingloading issue. Its an education issue. One person choose to ask more questions about canopy control another just chalked his landing to being "lucky". Maybe if all these people were talked to correctly or taught correctly then we would have less problem with canopy flight and people would make better decisions about what canopy to fly. Regulations don't teach a damn thing. Stupid people will be stupid people. Its apparent (from what I saw this weekend) that people loaded light or heavy were nearly hurting or killing themselves from being stupid. Bottom line people need to be educated. If they choose not listen after its be taught and re-explained then let Darwin take them out of the gene-pool. This is the end of my $0.02. Well I am do some skydiving instead sitting hear typing about skydiving.
  9. I don't Mutter all that well so I can't make fun of him, but that is rather funny Stacy And WOW an 8 man tent...that would make for some interesting "sleeping" arrangements
  10. Of course! I'll probably get there mid day Sat. Was going to stay in my tent but Wind/Rain & 62...? I'm not so sure. Of course, as long as I'm there for the evening festivities its all good. *** Hey we can always go down the road to the Red Carpet Inn and pack 15 skydivers into the room. It works out to be $8 dollars a person. We just have to get the 70's Porn Room. Three King size beds. Room for one full air mattress, and four sleeping bags. Its tight, but hey that could be a good thing. Plus we get warm showers in the A.M. Can I sleep in your bed...I didn't say that did I
  11. I second what Chuck said Jim Cazer makes lots of great things. I can't find a pilot chute he didn't make.
  12. I second Cazer. I have hardtime finding one that isn't Cazer.
  13. I think it uses a flux capacitor.
  14. You should be able to buy risers from any rig manufacturer. Usually people go with risers that are the same make as their rig. Unless you like some special riser that another manufacturer makes. Any Master Rigger should be able to custom make a set of risers for you. I had set made by Mark Kruse at X-Keys to my specs. Not that they were that special
  15. Passing on Freezefest this year. I am rigless at the moment. It really too damn cold, and I have to work. Weather or not its always a wild party.
  16. I am still a Clerks fan. Its so NJ and its funny when you really know people from NJ that are like that. Its also cool when you when you run into him at Sears and you can recite lines from any of his movies and you both find it funny. Its also odd to run into Jay at Kevin Smith's comic book store and he is really like that in person. I don't think Jay is acting, that kid is like that for real.

    why Zeemax?

Rogue, because I am loner and I never really get along with the norm. I am always going against the grain. 108 cause I needed a number since eveything is taken. So 108 comes from the hardcore band 108, that was around in the late 80's early 90's

    $41 burger

I am not really sure its a hamburger. Its more like lump of Premium Beef with some fancy bread on either end. Its 20 oz of Kobe beef, with Foie Gras and braised Short Rib stuffed in the center. The burger is topped with French Black Truffles, 13 different baby greens, and Shitake, Lobster, Portobello, and Cremini Mushrooms. The bun is Reggiano Focaccia. It also comes with homemade chipoltle ketchup, stone ground Champagne mustard, and lastly horseradish aioli (Whatever that is). If you aren't feeling that rich you can always have the $28 dollar hamburger.
  19. I pack a Sabre 170 into my J2 its a little tight, but it isn't bad at all. When I originally got my rig there was a Triathlon 190 packed in there.
  20. www.egsky.com He makes them and other various skydiving products at reasonable prices.
  21. I think part of my point is that what I experience here goes against what I typically experience with skydivers and dropzones. The people I know and have met from this board usually turn out to be good people. However I tend to feel things that things can get pretty negative and personal around here. In general I wouldn't treat people I have never met that way. I think its f'd up that I wouldn't want to meet someone because of an experience here. Maybe I do have it all wrong or I am having an idealist utopian dream. Again this is just my opinion of things, but with that i'm outta of here.
  22. I was just making an observation. Maybe I do have it all wrong and I am the negative one. See ya.
  23. Contrary to the belief that we are one big skydiving family this message board makes me feel like we aren't one. It seems we spend more time arguing and being uncivil than we are helpful or otherwise. This place is unlike any dropzone I have ever been to. Even the worst dropzone I have been to doesn't seem as hostile as it is around here. Don't get me wrong, its not that I am not guility of participating in some of these debates, but I am beginning to think some of us don't know how to be constructive. I do have to give credit to Sangrio for even giving us the bandwidth for a place like this.
