Jussi replied to GroundZero's topic in Wing Suit Flying
"Jar@bird-man.com" ?? That would be jari@bird-man.com :) -
use Future, the stuff you use on your floor... check www.aircraftresourcenter.com, www.hyperscale.com, rec.models.scale. You should find info about using Future from those places... :)

On my stiletto 120 that i had, i tried rolling the nose on three occasions, and i had fast openings on them all, so i didn´t roll the nose after that and enjoyed the usual Stiletto openings...

i have a Atair Impulse, 100sqft loaded at 2.0..
-
PdF doesn´t manufacture them, Parasport Italia did, not at the moment, probably due to some licencing problems with Loic Jean Albert..
-
There is one Cobalt 95 in Jyväskylä, in Utti is Impulse 100 (mine), and i believe that there are Impulses in your club also.. try them..

Found this from Hangout.no "Jari called this afternoon. He was in a very good mood. "I docked on Vladi today", he said. It was just before break-off altitude, when Jari managed to fly his wingsuit so close to Vladi, who was under a canopy (as read in the latest Skydiving Magazine), that he could grip Vladi's leg. Just like that!"

Just found this from hangout.no.. COOL!!! "Jari called this afternoon. He was in a very good mood. "I docked on Vladi today", he said. It was just before break-off altitude, when Jari managed to fly his wingsuit so close to Vladi, who was under a canopy (as read in the latest Skydiving Magazine), that he could grip Vladi's leg. yep. and it should be manufactured after 1.1.2000 if i remember correctly, the bridle cover changed a bit around that time, if you would add freefly handle to a older Mirage, the handle wouldn´t be so secure..
-
I think Relative Workshop offered this first, but didn´t advertise it too much..
-
Jari has a nice username, pupu, in english it means bunny :) So, hopefully we´ll see Bunny here once in while...:)
-
To my knowledge, Jari has reached the point where he isn´t falling anymore(momentarily of course), just going forward..
-
Standard Wings can be modified, just by cutting the corners open.. same goes (at least)for Vector3, Mirage, PdF Atom.

and somebody isn´t a newbie anymore...... ;-)

Tuck it in right side flap, nowadays they don`t use velcro on the freestyle handle.

Tommosta: that kind of Kieltä: tongue, language Käytäkkään: not use or something like that. as a sentence it makes more sense if you add couple words like: Ei tommosta kieltä käytäkkään kukaan. roughly: "Nobody uses that kind of language" or something like that........

Glad you survived.. maybe we should spank da Monkey for not following the instructions..;) Welcome to the cutaway w/ wingsuit club..;-) Anybody else?

i asked the almost same question couple of years ago from John LeBlanc from Performance Designs, and here is some his writings.... me asking: In your opinion does third riser setup have ANY effect in in canopy flare? i have watched people landing and noticed that when people flare(using regular)rear risers are pulled by the control line, does this effect flare? John: "Yes, it effects the flare. I believe that third riser had a benefit on the very old nine cells, particularly the old Glidepath canopies. On modern ellipticals, I believe it is of benefit to have the regular rear riser distorted during the flare. This helps to flatten the trim in the center of the canopy, which helps it contribute more to the total lift. Third risers do not do this, so they center cell stays trimmed steep, to the detriment to the efficiency." Hope it help...:)

Just found from a Finnish skydiving forum, had to share..:) Finnish Temperature Conversion Chart > For those of you that know and love Finnish weather and for those of you > who have never experienced it and never plan to. > > 15 degrees (it seldom gets warmer than that so it is of little practical > use to start from any higher temperatures) > Spaniards wear coats, gloves and woolly hats. Finns sunbathe. > > 10oC > French try to turn on the heat. Finns plant gardens. > > 5 oC > Italian cars won\'t start. Finns drive with the windows down. > > 0 oC > Distilled water freezes. Vantaa water gets thicker. > > -5 oC > Californians shiver uncontrollably. Finns have the last cook-out > before it gets cold. > > -10 oC > British landlords finally turn up the heat. Finns throw on a sweatshirt. > > -20 oC > Austrians fly away to Mallorca. Finns lick the flagpole. > > -30 oC > People in Greece cease to exist. Finns get out their long johns. > > -40 oC > Paris disintegrates. Finns turn to the hot dog stands. > > -50 oC > Polar bears begin to evacuate Antarctica. The Finnish Army postpones > "Winter Survival" camp until it gets cold enough. > > -60 oC > Korvatunturi freezes. Finns rent some videos. > > -70 oC > The false Santa Claus abandons the North Pole. Finns get frustrated when > they can\'t thaw the Koskenkorva bottle. > > -183 oC > Microbial life survives on dairy products. Finnish cows complain of > farmers > with cold hands. > > -273 oC > ALL atomic motion stops. Finns start saying...."Perkele. It\'s pretty cold, > huh." > > -300 oC > Hell freezes over. The Finns win the world championship in soccer!
