To answer such a question, one would have to become an expert on the chromosomal differences as well as the social upbringings of blacks in our society. With regard to blacks, don’t try to understand them. They don’t do very well in our sport.
-
LOL! I was tempted to ask you the same question!! 4 years in the sport and 30 odd jumps? Is that 7.5 jumps per year? If nothing else, you really have the civic aspects of our sport nailed! Now get out there and jump!

Wait a while. Thats all I'm going to say.

Thinking about taking a break from skydiving.
UntamedDOG replied to UntamedDOG's topic in The Bonfire
In deed, It will stop when I remove the cotex. Anyway, thanks for your PM's and replies. I don't think I'm going to quit. I just needed to vent. This sport gets the better of me sometimes. The emotional complications in skydiving are as meandering as the filthy lucre that the sport is incumbent on. I want to skydive right now. I just don't want to deal with the whole fervent aspect of it all. Thanks again! UntamedDOG -
I don't have a beef. I'm just being honest in my opinion. This plane is a joke. Speaking of jokes, have you and your friends at Perris figured out a way to land the BirdMan suit yet?
-
My opinion is that this plane will probably never be used for skydiving. The whole thing was likely a publicity stunt to get more skydivers to visit Perris so that their new wind tunnel would flourish. Pat Conatser is the “Ross Perot” of the skydiving industry. My guess is that he never had any real intention of ever having the plane fly skydive loads. He knew it would take years of red tape to even get the FAA to consider the DC-9 as a jump plane. Long story short…… To fly this plane, you have to turn the skydiving operation at Perris into a true airline like United or JetBlue. It sounds crazy but it’s the easiest way to make this type of skydiving a reality. Pat Conatser probably never thought that a slackened maintenance cycle would ever get approval for such a sophisticated and complex aircraft. When the news leaked that the aircraft’s speculative new maintenance cycle got approved, Pat realized that the fancy new paint job wouldn’t be enough keep the locals interested in the plane. Now these damn skydivers actually want to fly it, and jump out of it! I think the DC-9 will eventually pull a disappearing act. One day we’re going to show up and the plane just won’t be there. The official word will be something along the lines of "ohh shit! someone must have left the keys in the ignition" Do they sell Lo Jack systems for aircraft? Maybe Pat should have used all that money to cut skydivers a break on jump tickets? That’s just my opinion.

Dom..aka Dgskydive...when is our tunnel time?
UntamedDOG replied to VanillaSkyGirl's topic in The Bonfire
I agree. Dom “Dgskydive” needs to focus on his customer service skills. I was eyeballin’ him pretty hard the other day while I was in the wind tunnel. He still hasn’t gotten back to my friend who is interested in a Crossfire 129. -
Tell me how to NOT become a 100 jump wonder!

Weird! I don't know why that post duplicated itself. This website lags quite often. I hit the "post" button a couple if times because it froze. That happens all the time to this website! -
Tell me how to NOT become a 100 jump wonder!
UntamedDOG replied to soarfree's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I don't like the "Wonder" term at all. I've heard of 100 jump wonders and I've heard of 3000 jump wonders. Everybody thinks they know more than the next person in this sport. Just ignore people that have this attitude. Unfortunately these egos run rampant in our sport. If there is a genuine concern for safety than you should listen up. On the other hand, don’t feel like you owe an explanation for everything you do. It is impossible to have the foresight that comes with experience when you have low jump numbers. -

USPA/NON USPA DROP ZONE QUESTION
UntamedDOG replied to namgrunt's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
The USPA group member program is a complete and total scam. The only reason dropzones *PAY MONEY* to become a group member is for the sake of promotion. They can have a much more expensive student progression program for AFF students. Non USPA DZ's require a 7 jump program while USPA DZ's have every jump planed until you get your "A" license (25 jumps) They make double the money, period. It's all bullshit. It would be different if the USPA actually had some system of auditing these group member DZ's but that never happens. In no way are group members safer than non-members. -
She would be a corpse by the time I'm finished with her.

I did it, I dropped off 3 garbage bags full of clothing that I no longer need to Good Will. I suppose it was the right thing to do even though it would have been a hell of a lot easier to just throw it all down the trash chute

Thinking about taking a break from skydiving.
UntamedDOG replied to UntamedDOG's topic in The Bonfire
Ya, thanks for the advice everyone. I guess I'm starting to look at skydiving the same way I view skiing. When I was younger, I would ski every weekend and I did this for a couple of years, got really good and now I only ski once or twice a year. Maybe thats what skydiving is becoming. It's just too damn expensive to do every weekend with the costs of fuel the way they are. If you want to keep those friends that you work so hard to make at the DZ, you pretty much have to be there every weekend or you feel like a tourist. At the point I'm at, I really need to be jumping a lot more often to see any progression in my skills. I think I'm just going to focus on work for the time being and jump again when the temperature in Cali gets back down to the 70's! Thanks again, UntamedDOG -

Thinking about taking a break from skydiving.
UntamedDOG replied to UntamedDOG's topic in The Bonfire
I've been thinking about taking some time off from the sport of skydiving. There has been a little something missing the last few times I've jumped. I don't think I will ever get sick of the actual act of skydiving, it's just the hassles and money it takes to pursue it. So far I’ve come up with a lot of CONS lately and not to many POSITIVES. Any POSITIVE suggestions would be appreciated because I have a lot of NEGATIVES Right now. -It gets really hot in California during the summer. -I visit DZ's alone so I have to spend a lot of energy being this outgoing nice guy so people will want to jump with me. Each visit I have to repeat this process because it's a different group of skydivers each time. -I don't get the life affirming sensation I did when I had 40 jumps. "Ohh Yes!! I've survived yet another skydive!!" Big whoop! -The fact that I live in Los Angeles means that it's at least 90 min. drive each direction to any DZ. 3 hours roundtrip in your car to freefall just a few minutes. -Gas is getting expensive, $40 bucks in GAS roundtrip. -Jump tickets are getting expensive. They used to be $16 dollars at Perris. Now they are $21. -Repacks are $70 bucks at Perris! -Just tired of the same old shit. It just isn't getting any better. -Tired of the carnage. Sorry to sound so negative! I wish I could find something as fun as skydiving. Something a bit more accessible would be nice though! Maybe these are some of the reasons skydivers are said to only spend 2-3 years in the sport. Maybe my time is just up? -
Hi guys, I just got through cleaning out my closet and I have about 3 giant piles of clothes that I will never wear again. I live in an apartment complex and the trash chute is right down the hall. Previous times I have gone through the hassle of carrying every pile of outdated/wornout clothing to my car and gone through this hassle of driving to "Good Will" and carrying it pile at a time and filling out a form. Is this really worth it? I haven't so much as gotten a "Thank You" from these guys. I know it's a waste and there are needy people out there but should I just throw this shit away? It is so tempting!!! Thanks for the advice! UntamedDOG

Okay, this is *literally* "fucking" pathetic!
UntamedDOG replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in The Bonfire
Perhaps you should look up (Norgestimate/Ethinyl Estradiol) in the dictionary. Most people who are monogamous use other forms of birth control instead of sloppy condoms. -

UntamedDOG replied to peacefuljeffrey's topic in The Bonfire
Perhaps you should look up monogamy in the dictionary. You wouldn’t need condoms if you practiced it. Are you so desperate to slide your dick in a woman that you find it necessary to bitch about contraceptives online? Are you unable to control a primal reflex as futile and ultimately self defeating as sexual intercourse? There is nothing wrong with the act of sex, it just seems like you are missing out on the better half of the experience. UntamedDOG -
The laws exist to protect the people who work in these bars/venues. It is one thing to be exposed to second hand smoke during an evening out on the town. It is another to work 10 hour days, 5 nights a week as a cocktail waitress/bartender, security, and anyone else who earns a living in nightclubs and bars. Now think about how much second hand smoke a full time employee at a bar has to inhale for you to get your nicotine fix. How incredibly selfish and pigheaded to not realise that others have to deal with your "issue" on a full time basis. Think before you bitch.

Just saw this movie! It is so refreshing to see a movie this good. What hit me the most was that the characters ironically weren’t the type of people I would normally feel any empathy towards. That is what makes this movie truly powerful and unique. I also found the movie depressing. It didn’t really give me positive outlook on life. There was a little glimpse of hope, through the actions of one the characters near the end of the film that was a bit unexpected. I don't want to spoil it, go see it yourselves!

Let me give you some advice on pull-outs. Birdman is against anyone using a pull out system while flying a BirdMan suit. I’m sure you’ve heard this a few times since you seem to like flying BirdMan at Perris. Why are you so eager to prove everyone wrong? Even Bill Booth says pull-outs suck but you won’t listen. One of these days your luck is going to run out. I hope I’m there to witness it firsthand.

Perris is better. Better atmosphere, more going on. Lots of activities to keep you busy. Elsinore isn’t bad, I just don’t find myself wanting to to go there that often. Seems a bit clicky.

Oh, you're going to get flamed to death on this one! Bear in mind that if I receive a blow job, even now at my early stages, it is likely to be from a friend of mine. And even if it wasn't, I still don't want to see it. It's hard to believe that an actual skydiver wants to see a fellow brother or sister climax. This is not RED SHOE DIARIES were someone gets laid, then gets up and walks away. It is also not a porno film, where it is glorious to climax inside her mouth. We are all doing this sport because we love to do it. I hope if I am ever at your drop zone and ask for a rim job, that it is not you. I agree with the other post "SICK" UntamedDOG
-
BINGO! We have a winner. I knew the first thing people would do in their attempt to flame me is to brag about the fatalities they have witnessed and how "awful" it was. I would like to futher elaborate on my original post. Witnessing a fatality gives you the right to say "I've been there dude, and it ain't pretty" this is the experience that facinates me. Judging by what other people have written, it does appear that witnessing a fatality puts you into that "elite" death club. You guys have proven this to me without even realising it! I wonder what it would be like to call a family from the dropzone to inform them that their son is dead. The rush of emotions must be an unreal experience. If this is suppose to be such a horrible event, why are skydivers so eager to brag about what they had to do and how terrible it was? That is the badge of honor I am interested in exploring.
