  1. I have been skydiving a few years and I have a thought that I would like to share. This might sound irrational. I find myself a bit eager to experience the rush of a skydiving fatality firsthand. Maybe I am being a drama whore, but I am amazed at how death brings about a sense of fellowship in our sport. People talk about accidents all the time on DZ.com and I am amazed at how it has become such an accepted topic. There are always the social gatherings like the funerals, and memorial dives dedicated to the victims. Witnessing a skydivers death has truly become a prerequisite to nobility. I watch skydivers who have recently witnessed a fatality, they always seem to carry themselves with a quiet solemnity. Perhaps they think they have a notch in their belts because they had the pugnacity to continue despite ominous surroundings. I would like to know if anyone out there feels the same way I do. Has witnessing a skydiving fatality become a “check” on the list of things we are suppose to experience as we become more seasoned skydivers?
  2. Yah, now if Rosa actually took breaks between boyfriends, and if she dated anyone under 50...... you and her might have a chance together!
  3. If the driver ever wants to press charges, they have it on video for the whole world to download. I'm very angry at the camera operator. Guilt by association, if you ask me. edited to add: If I ever see anything like that go down to myself or someone else, I will intervine. The other videos on this website were a real eye opener. Many spectators did nothing to help the situation yet they could have. As a community, you cannot allow this shit to just happen in front of you.
  4. Dude, you could never get away with something like that in the States! You can't even put tiny flame throwers on your exhaust pipe. That shit is insane!
  5. Thanks for the second link. I guess the first website is too cheap to pay for decent bandwidth. I wonder if the black dude got arrested? They have the crime on video and it's on the internet. I watched the tape again, I only saw 1 chance to run the guy over at the very beggining of the assult. There wasn't shit the driver could do about it. Most people would be pissing their pants. The only way out of that situation is to have a firearm handy.
  6. Dude, this video is insane! I heard it's pretty old but shocking none the less. It doesn't look staged at all. I was a bit creeped out by this video. I would like to know what fellow DZ.com'ers would do in this situation. Not like there was much this driver could do. I suppose I should carry a gun in my lap next time I'm driving in vegas. http://www.toomuchtimeonmyhands.com/gallery/v/videos/fights/holdingitdown.wmv.html
  7. Don't know either, shit I've been jumping there 2 years and I didn't know about any "memorial park". I suppose if I had bothered to take part in the 2-3 ashdives they do annually there, I would know Don't pitch a tent there. I've seen vagrant families living there. It's kinda wide open and exposed, right next to the muddy parking lot. At night, they run that steel mill factory behind the dropzone and it gets loud so bring earplugs. It's not scenic like Lost Prairie. The bunkhouse is a little better but your stuck with 4 other people. The IHOP is the best choice but they always seem to have some European team crashing out there. They don't like outsiders so you have to play the royal kiss up if you want to make any friends. Dude, just spend the extra cash and get a cheap motel, there are plenty in the area and you will have a better experience.
  8. They are only playing an hour and 15. Spend the $80 bucks to go see them on tour where you can see the full production of a NIN show.
  9. Our public schools are such ratholes these days, I don't think anything would suprise me. The students are the ones who make the school a dump and the teachers facilitate it.
  10. It also helps not to have "Cop Killer" playing on your stereo. I once got pulled over and I had a bumpersticker that said "I hate COPS". When the pig asked me about it, I said it stands for Cowardly Oppressive Pieces of Shit I pleaded my first amendment rights and got off with a warning. Only in America.

    Suicide

I am deeply sorry for your loss. It sucks that you spent so much time and effort raising a child, only to have him "off" himself when you least expect it. Life just outright sucks for many people. One hassle after the next. Thank GOD I found skydiving to help deal with this fustration. Maybe certain people are smart enough to realise that the next world is so much brighter that they simply wish to speed the process up a little bit. The problem is that they don't think about the people that they effect and hurt. They also sell themselves short because they never lived up to their true life potential. Try to stay postive, keep a sense of humor and live your life to fullest. My best, UntamedDOG
  12. Dude that has to be a woman!! Look at the hair, it's all poofed up! No guy would style their hair like that. Also the glasses and the big chest look feminine. And of course, no guy would have his picture taken with Fagio!
  13. Thank you, I feel that I am very good at viewing both sides of the story. Many feel that America is slowly turning into an evil empire and people from other countries are sick of it. If you want to see what we are doing in these other countries, take a look at this link and maybe you will understand. http://www.rotten.com/library/crime/prison/abu-ghraib/
  14. Only if they have been stinkfisting.
  15. What? for making a prank phone call? What is so evil about that? Imagine how much more these families appreciate knowing that their son is still alive and safe. They probably did this to make a point to these familes, that their son could be killed at any time. I understand the sentiment. I think you are just overreacting.
