I started my RAPS training there two years ago and found the instructers friendly and encouraging. Due to the good old weather I ended up doing AFF in spain. Since then I have spread my jump weekends either at Langar or Weston. I drive for two hours to get to Weston but I have personaly found that every mile is worth it. The faciities have vastly improved over the last two years with the new bar / cafe. OK it doesnt have a bunkhouse but whats wrong with pitching a tent??? I have read reviews saying that this is a tandem factory. All I can say is thats a load of crap. I have never been bumped off a lift and dont know anyone that has, in favour of a tandem or student. The only thing that does let this DZ down is the fact that it realy does need another aircraft to cope with busy weekends. But dont let this put you off this DZ ROCKS!!!!

I decidided to do an AFF course but couldn't decide where.A friend advised trying the FFU in Ocana. I made some innitial enquireies and was impressed with the replies. Everything was taken care of from the flights out to accomodation bookings.The instructors and staff were all extreamly welcoming and I felt at home straight away.The training was conducted at a relaxed pace and anything I was unsure about was explained so I understood.The night life in the local area is also great with the instructors changing jobs at sundown to become tourist guides. Thanks to Tim for showing me all the best tapas bars and for the extra weight I put on!!! In a nutshell the FFU gave me an awesome introduction into skydiving and I look forwrd to returning as soon as possible.

I recently graduated an AFF course in Spain, and after a poor reception at another DZ (Sibson)I tied Langer. Within minutes of arriving I was introduced to the CCI who checked my log book and signed me off student status and welcomed me to jump anytime. Which I did. This DZ has amazing views, the aircraft are fast to altitude. Everybody there had a friendly attitude and I will be using this as my home DZ.

After recently Graduating an AFF course in Spain I arrived at my local DZ (Sibson). I was introduced to the CCI. He shook my hand then asked me to wait for five minutes as he was busy. After 45 minutes of being blatently ignored whilst he joked about with his mates, I left and headed straight for Langer, where Within 1 minute of meeting the CCI I was being shown around. Perhaps Sibsons CCI was busy that day, but unfortuneatly this wasnt the first time that he had ignored me. A year earlier I was on a military raps course. During the course I decided to check Sibson out as a future drop zone and again was introduced to the CCI and had exactly the same treatment. So in a nutshell unless you train at Sibson you will meet with a wall of ignorence and arrogance. Which is a shame because the people I met there were friendly and welcoming. Its the CCI that lets the place down. My advice.....Go to Langer.
