  1. It makes sense to ask for actual users opinions. My first rig was J3K with PDR-160 and Spectre-170(sizing done by Sunpath). Based on my experience, for this canopy combinatin J2K would be a much better choice. Javelins seem to be quite loose. 7 cells pack smaller. https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  2. I have brand new TJNK with PDR-143 and Crossfire 139. Reserve is tight but main is, well, I could easily put Spectre 170 in there. https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  3. container I've ordered in November has just arrived... this is my second javelin, but the sensation is awasome, she is a beauty
  4. thanks Andy, that's what I wanted to know:) https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  5. but why? what for? when I put it to the box I will swith it on and put it off via cameye when it's in the box, the swith is on and I can operate it with cameye (on, off, rec, standby) the hole is no good in clouds https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  6. is the current version of CamEye II compatible in 100% with Sony PC350? - does power-off work? - does power-on work? I am ordering a camera box and want to know if the box needs a hole over the on-off switch or could be completly closed. https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  7. thanks, I will cut the metal then (and save the strap) https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  8. Just bought PC350 does enybody know how to remove the belt without cutting? https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  9. many good opinions on quality, etc. What is the recommended sony then? https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  10. I bought in october from the stock. It went from Spain to us dealer within a week or so. Also, I remember that after I took decision and came back to dealer the canopy almost imediately disapeard from the stock list (good, quick response). And my prived (biased) opinion: don't buy anything else but Icarus, exept maybe Spectre (very reliable) I demoed Sabre2 and did not like the openings (off heading). https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  11. which one? I can have pc1000 for $1000 I can have pc109 for $575 does it make a diiference in movie quality I will notice? the difference = good camera helmet which one? HELP! https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  12. yes, that's rawa there has to be some reason to place your camcorder upside down... but what for? I am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the actual movie orientation - you can always change it while making the final movie maybe the angle? https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  13. What is this used for? So you can put your camcorder with the lens up/down? What for? Anybody can explain? https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  14. I have seen more Wings containers like that. The problem is lack of stifener in the flap, see kturnau's post. I think it's not related to reserve size/pack. https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  15. looking for a busy place https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  16. What would be the best dropzone in February? I am looking for a place to spend 7-10 days and make 8-10 jumps a day. Is that possible at all in February? Anyone heard of some boogie? I will travel from Europe, so busy place and good weather is important. At least 50 jumps for the trip to make sense... https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  17. I just moved from Spectre-170 (250+ jumps) to Crossfire2-139. This, as they call it-high performance canopy - is just a faster Spectre. Before I have tried smaller Spectre, Pilot, Sabre2, Nitro, Stiletto. Of all those I have found Spectre to be "the best". Why? Because of the openings, ease of packing (less lines) and the feel of stability and responsivness. My friend (jumping Pilot) was just about to order smaller Pilot but he tried mine Crossfire2 and ... you know. Go for Spectre. This is the best all around canopy on the planet https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  18. arms longer than average? https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  19. use the force :) I can make 180 on Spectre-170 (@ 1.15-1) I can do the same on 190 (@1-1) this takes some strong grip and there is a point in the manouver when you are efectively hanging one-handed on the front riser... I grab and pull at least to my face-level https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  20. Have you ever tried to pack a new ZP canopy? Try no more - buy Icarus!!! This is unbelivable: the air goes out with no effort. My Spectre requires strong efforts and clever tricks to pump out the air. Crossfire just packs like baby diaper. Not to mention openings and landings. Awasome canopy!!! https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  21. just arrived and will be tested tomorrow have to be careful... https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  22. I do. And I am trying to make an informed decision. Thanks a lot for all the input here. And yes, I used front risers on all those 150s. I was also pointed towards Crossfire 139. This would be loaded 1.4, the minimum recommended load for this canopy. As far as I understand the advice I got so far, Spectre 135 would not give me the flare that Crossfire 139 would. A lot of good publicity around Icarus. Sadly, I cannot demo Crossfire... https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  23. I made 250 jumps this year on my Spectre 170 (loaded @ 1.16). Nice landings, crosswind, downwind, 180 turns, good canopy control. I am going to downsize to 135 or 150 and will go with Spectre because of nice openings and wingsuit flying. My concern is, 135 Spectre would be loaded @ 1.47 and that is high according to PD charts. 150 Spectre would be loaded @ 1.32, seems OK but: - I have tried Spectre 150 and did not see any particular difference from 170. - Just to have some comparison I also tried Nitro 150, Stiletto 150, Sabre2 150. None of those was too fast or difficult to manage in light wind conditions. From my perspective the real difference between Spectre 170 and Stiletto 150 or Nitro 150 is in the toggle control range. You just use less of toggle input to make a controlled turn. Two questions: 1) Is Spectre 135 havily loded @ 1.47 ? 2) Is there a real difference in handling between 170 and 150 ? The second question I ask because I’m afraid that changing to 150 will bring little performance/speed gain and I will not see any difference. Any comments on that? https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
  24. I know what main and reserve it is supposed to fit but: what is the difference in size? I mean height of container & width - outside difference https://www.facebook.com/1skydive/
