it's a very scary landmark case that will hopefully strike a chord with ALL americans. if i may draw an analogy. take a frog and drop him in a pot of 250 degree boling water and he will go nuts and try and get out. now, put him in a luke warm pot and slowly turn up the heat and you can cook him alive. i think people have forgotten why this great nation was created....for exactly this type of government meddling. slowly, surely, the governemnt is crawling into our lives a bit more each day. i am truly alarmed. with that said, i still love this place and wouldn't want to be anywhere else. we gotta work with it.

i agree it would be nice if everyone could have healthcare, but there isn't one single section of the Constitution that says ANYONE is entitled to heatlthcare. life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness can mean a lot of things to a lot of people, but i don't think it means free healthcare for everyone.

It would vary depending upon the person and the issue they have with the US. If I were there I would have so much to say. I could talk about how we executed kids until 2 months ago, I could talk about selective issuance of healthcare, I could talk about corporate immunity...... I could go on, but some people might have only 1 issue. I have never seen a flag burned in the US, whether on TV or otherwise. To generalize all flag burners as the ones you claim to have seen isn't cogent. I think maybe you have seen flags burned in other countries where they jump around. Tell ya what, why don't we have a cogent conversation w/o the flag burning and you can explain some of what I wrote in this post with the homelessnes, executions, etc.... oh, you don't wanna talk, mmmk. Come on, someone that uses the word, "cogent" should be intelligent enough to know about Scandinavia. That is arguably the best regios in the world in which to live. OK, that's the frontend of the matter, then they tell you to shove your problem up your ass....then what? In socialized countries you have a problem, medical, hunger, etc.... they answer with something that will actually help you. Ah, poor Capitalists cry about a few more percent taxes to help the poor - fuck the poor, right? Spoken like a true American. OK, solution for sick = socialized medicine. Solution for mass numbers of homeless = job centers that house and employ people until they are competent to do so on their own. WHere do we get the mnoney = from corps that export our manufacturing in the way of a stiff tarrif, like Japan does. But we won't, in fact we passed NAFTA to cut the tax burden to corps that export work to North America and now Bush has facillitated corps sending manuf overseas. *** i'm right there with you in that i think nafta was a bad move. i hate the fact we have homeless people in this country.

it makes me sick to my stomach to see the flag being burned. however, if someone wants to do it then the law currently allows it. personally, i always wonder what one of the people burning a flag really wants to say. if i approached them with a mic and camera at 6 o'clock and said 'excuse me sir, you now have the stage, what is it you would like to say?' i wonder what their response would be? all the video i see of flag burners is people jumping around like children screaming and yelling obseneties, but nothing constructive is being said. maybe someone can point me to one of these demonstrations that has a cogent discussion going on?? please do. i would like to understand what they are trying to accomplish. i love this country and think there is no better place in the world to live, period. it's not perfect and no country every will be. sure i have issues with our government, but when i have a problem with anyone or anything i address it and then suggest a course of action to remedy the problem. anyone can poke holes all day, but few have any constructive advice. i dont' allow people to sit in meetings and bitch unless they have a solution...it get's you nowhere. i'm all for improvement, but ya gotta suggest a better course of action and i have yet to see or hear a flag burner say what he wants...just that he/she doesn't like something our government is doing. maybe try a different approach b/c i truly believe it turns most americans off....but that is just my opinion

i hate to break the news to you quade, but you are dead wrong. i happen to be one of the small business owners you and mr. kerry wanted to come after. you know what is going to happen when you stifle small business america with new taxes? jobs will disappear and i'm going to pass those costs right back to the consumer. i truly get sick to my stomach when i hear people say that: i came from jack shit, worked my ass to the bone and made something of myself and now it's my responsibility to take care of the rest of the people in america that haven't done or won't do...no f-ing way. this is why i can't ever look at a democratic candidate: it's a haven for people who live their lives in envy of what other people have done.

i watched an incredibly detailed documentary on the u2 on the history channel. those guys have huge gonads. they referred to something called 'coffins corner' that they routinely fly in at working altitudes.....something like 10 knots from aerodynamic and engine stall? wow. they even have to get a car to talk them in on landing b/c there is virtually no visibility from the cockpit to the horizon. i just remember thinking that these pilots are the epitome of brave and truly push the limits.

great points ron. i have had the same argument/discussion with a co-worker and it's difficult to talk with someone who doesn't deal on the field of issues....he's not making any cogent points backed up by facts. all he can deal in is emotions and personal attacks....an all too common liberal ploy....avoiding the issues by using emotion to sway the uninformed. it's funny, but when you slam the door on people like this guy the insults and attacks get more fervent as they move further away from the issues. don't let him lure you on to his field. this is fun to watch and i salute you b/c you have patience beyond what i have ever had.

be nice about it and you won't have any guilt. i recently cut a woman loose that ended up being a psycho. i did it right, but she still went looney on my ass. however, i don't feel bad b/c i was honest and did it softly. there is no good way to do it from her end, but that's life and relationships....fragile.

the dog got off easy....she died. those poor innocent little girls are going to have to live with that and will never have a normal life. he took their lives away and for that there is no forgiveness. just as disturbing is the fact that he will probably do a year or two in jail and then go on doing this the rest of his life. ahhhhhhh! this is why i never watch local news.....nothing good on there.

here is what i did. i called my g/f and she went to the bank with my info. i had already called the bank and told them my predicament. they faxed a form and i filled it out and sent it back. 20 minutes later i was phat wiff billz. no need to go james bond on them....call 'em up and get after it.

in all seriousness, if you know or can get on the tele to someone that knows your bank account number and bank routing number you should be able to get $$. in college i used that information in belize city to get money from my bank. as long as the banks there are not 3rd world you should be able to get it quickly.
