You know you got it bad when...
uponone replied to thesaint's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
At least your not selling the motorcycle I have a snowboard trip coming up in April in Colorado with a couple of friends and some family that just moved there. I was all stoked to go boarding because I've never been to any of the mountains in Colorado and heard they were awesome. Come to find out, my family that just moved there moved to Longmont - 10 minutes from Mile-Hi, now I find myself planning a jump trip with maybe some tunnel time at skyventure instead of going boarding like we all originally planned....what to do? -
Sweeet. See ya there

It's going to be a nice day tomorrow Anyone else going to Taft?
-
That's a lot of skydivers in one room. Very cool.

In my limited experience I have jumped out of a 182, Otter, Caravan, and mostly PAC (and a B-25). The Otter has the biggest door and the PAC and the Caravan seemed to have about the same size door, although I liked the steps and rails on the PAC much more. The PAC also seemed much quieter with less vibration than any of the others so I would assume you would be less fatigued at the end of the day. I also like our PAC better because it's brand new and has a bumping speaker system There are quite a few large TI's at my DZ and have heard nothing but praise for the PAC from them, they use to jump out of a 208 and they said it was MUCH better. *added pic.

Ron, thanks for taking the time to post this. If all the instructors/experienced skydivers would practice their EP's on the way up to altitude I think it would make it more "cool" for others to practice. I always do one before boarding the plane, then one on the climb up, then when we are about ready to jump I check my main flap to make sure it's closed, touch my hackey to make sure it's in the right spot, and then do another quick practice of my EP's. It only takes a second and I don't see what's so "uncool" about practicing survival techniques.

whoa, that sounds like Goro from Mortal Kombat freeflying.

I looked at Tony, Firefly, Flitesuit, Freakn, etc... ...Kurupee had one but no gold or brown. Symbiosis is the best I saw, it has gold but no brown or tan option. Do you know of something better?

I am a motorcycle salesperson and that is my biggest pet peve. I'll be explaining something and then all of a sudden they turn around and start walking away talking to the air. It's sofa king rude. -
I don't vote either
-
no no, like an orangish yellow. It goes good with earth tones such as brown and tan.
-
wow, interesting color choice, sounds like a circus clown puked on your shirt I live in a place that has 3 seasons; moderate, warm, and hot. I'll only be using it when is moderate or warm, when it's hot I will just be jumping in shorts and a shirt. I was thinking of doing tan or a biege type color, such as the light part of desert camo but I think that color would end up looking like crap. I am really leaning towards the gold with a brown stripe and a desert camo stripe but I don't know how the gold will look. Anyone have a pic of a gold jumpsuit of somekind.
-
Haha, I call it "in the ground, brown".
-
I live in Cali and I've thrown all mine away for the last 5 years. If you didn't sign for it you didn't receive it, simple as that.
-
Okay, my rig is desert camo w/ gold piping and a brown backpad and I am ordering a firefly suit but I want it to contrast some. I'm thinking either all brown with gold stripes or all gold with brown stripes. I like earth tones but I think an all brown suit might be too much and I've never seen an all gold suit, it's hard to picture in my head. Any ideas?

Keep places to play at open. Organize fun, safe competitions. Be the "voice" for us to the government. Show wuffo's that we are a professional, organized group striving to achieve the same goal not a bunch of hooligans risking our lives and others for the sake of adrenalin. Lastly, they provide liability insurance for our f#@k ups which makes the annual fee more than worth it IMO.

Why Don't Skydiving Pilot Chutes Have Vented Apexes?

It sounds like your describing a PC in tow, not a streamer. I was taught that a streamer is your canopy towing behind you in a wad of shit. -
It's wipped cream and they nailed me with 5 trays full. Good times.

Thanks to everyone at Skydive Taft. See ya next weekend.

Oh I get it, like Jeopardy. What's a cook?

You need to have a beer and get laid. -
Did you get your ass chewed when you landed?
-
So sad.
-
Wow, you are obsessed. Sounds like someone needs to get laid more often. ....and Ed's right, compared to Corky she's Mother Theresa.
