I'll be starting skydiving "soon" and I'm just gathering info. I'd like to know how long it takes, what courses you have to take and how much it costs to become a reserve packer. I wouldn't want to be a reserve packer right away and I know it's probably different in the US of A; but just to get a general idea...

I respect your choice! Luckily I've already found someone else who is willing to sell me a BASE canopy. It's a Diobla 150 and the guy selling says it's perfect to start out with. Now all I gotta do is find me a rig and a reserve... Edit. Oh wait... I don't need a reserve. I forgot all about that hahaha Psssst...just trying to make a point here. No need to worry.

There's a saying in soccer (wow I can't believe I called it soccer... guess we're all living in Amerika): play the ball, not the man. The press are not morons. They were there and saw the coppers. They chose to make it a bandit story as well. Other news channels who were not there chose not to do any research. The man wanted to make Basejumping his living and he succeeded. I think that's admirable. You're acting like he killed some children to get where he is. Also you have to be VERY careful with principles. Personally...I try to steer away from acting (self-)rightious because I know I can't be rightious all the time. -
Does the road running over it have a (dunno correct english word here guys) service lane? You know like a lane where you can park if the car breaks down? Edit. Looks like it does. It also has a seperated walking area. Guess the only potential danger is drivers thinking you're a suicide jumper.

Haven't tried this with Red Bull, but If i drink too much Golden Power (HAHAHA GOLDEN SHOWER AMIRITE??? no...), which is a similar drink, I get the nastiest of Diarrhea. And I'm not the only one. Stuff's poison.

What about taking along a surgeon? Or am I stating the obvious and is this already taken care of? If you take a long an ambulance/emergency surgeon and equipment, you wouldn't have to worry all thát much about being 20 hours away from medical help. It can't be that hard to get one if you try real hard on an international level. If you can't get a surgeon you could always try an emergency doctor etc. Just a thought.

WHAT So if you jump, say, 4 days a month for six months that's 2400 bux in rental alone!!! WTF dude...that's extremely expensive. You can buy decent used gear for that so one would be stupid not to.
