Why Pilots Prefer Airplanes to Women * Airplanes can be turned on by a flick of a switch. * Airplanes don't get mad if you do a "touch and go." * Airplanes don't object to a pre-flight inspection. * Airplanes have strict weight and balance limitations. * Airplanes don't care about how many other airplanes you've flow before. * Airplanes and pilots both arrive at the same time. * Airplanes don't mind if you look at other airplanes. * Airplanes don't mind if you buy airplane magazines. * Airplanes don't whine unless something is really wrong. * However, when airplanes go quiet, just like women, it's usually not good After every Qantas Airlines flight, pilots complete a gripe sheet which conveys to the mechanics problems encountered with the aircraft during the flight that need repair or correction. The form used is a piece of paper on which the pilot completes the top part listing the problem, which the mechanics read and then respond in writing on the lower half of the form what remedial action was taken, so the pilot on the next flight of that plane can review the form before taking off. Never let it be said that ground crews and engineers lack a sense of humor. Here are some actual logged maintenance complaints and responses with P = the problem logged by the pilot, S = the solution and action taken by engineers. Qantas, by the way, is the only major airline that has never had an accident. P: Left inside main tyre almost needs replacement. S: Almost replaced left inside main tyre. P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough. S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft. P: Something loose in cockpit. S: Something tightened in cockpit. P: Dead bugs on windshield. S: Live bugs on back-order. P: Autopilot in altitude -hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent. S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground. P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear. S: Evidence removed. P: DME volume unbelievably loud. S: DME volume set to more believable level. P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick. S: That's what they're there for. P: IFF inoperative. S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode. P: Suspected crack in windshield. S: Suspect you're right. P: Number 3 engine missing. S: Engine found on right wing after brief search. P: Aircraft handles funny. S: Aircraft warned to straighten up, fly right and be serious. P: Target radar hums. S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics. P: Mouse in cockpit. S: Cat installed

The Dev is approved by FAA Flight tranning, that how how real the dynamic engine is. It should bring it further then any other Flight sim out there!
-
Hey 16Dirver, Have you heard of this simulation?
-
This Sim will be out around Christmas time, and estimate to be around 100 bucks, but the realism will make up for every penny!!

Hey Community; I just wanted to let you guys in one something. I work out of Pepperell, MASS, skyjump.com and telling you about this new Computer Simulation for Fighterjets. Its called Fighterops. I am a active deveoper. www.fighterops.com July 1, 2005 Valley Village, California. Xtreme Simulations International’s “Fighter Ops” aims to raise the bar, delivering to market one of the most powerful Military Flight simulations ever created for the home PC. XSI’s frontier groundbreaking product, Fighter Ops, will combine an extremely high level of performance, realism, detail and graphics never before seen at this level in a military flight sim. Fighter Ops will boast both a single-player mode and several multiplayer modes, including co-op as well as head-to-head. Other features will include multi-monitor support, spherical world modeling with a completely custom built terrain engine, dedicated high resolution graphics and simulated electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical aircraft failures. Over 22,000 airports will be modeled with their correct VOR & ILS information, along with realistic ATC, FAC, AWACS and much more. The beauty of the Fighter Ops series is that it will be in continuous development, with annual major releases and many free add-ons, updates and extra aircraft constantly appearing. Customers will ensure that Fighter Ops constantly evolves into the ultimate combat flight simulator, made by enthusiasts—for enthusiasts. A number of current active duty fighter pilots, instructors, weapons and avionics experts help to form the Fighter Ops team: all are dedicated to guaranteeing Fighter Ops to be the closest any of us will get to fly a modern jet fighter without having to enlist. Fighter Ops releases are to be modular: the first in this highly extensive series will be the USAF flight training simulation set for 2006. This will be a fully realistic representation of the USAF UPT and IFF pilot’s courses flying the T-6II, T-37 and the T-38 trainers. Designed to function in two modes—variable and Pilot Career mode—the first mode will allow players to fly any of the human flyable aircraft with all complexity options variable, from easy to highly realistic. The second and main Focus for the Fighter Ops simulation is the Pilot Career mode. Specifically intended for hardcore simmers and enthusiasts, the career mode will begin with the Fighter Ops Flight School—replicating the USAF training program. Your first step of the UPT training will start you in the T-6 Texan II, where you will learn the basics of flight and navigation, including cross country and instrument flying “under the hood” and formation practice, eventually graduating to receive your wings. Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals will follow, where you will hone your skills in the T-38 and get a first taste of the extra challenges faced when flying fast jets. In this accurate representation of the various USAF Introduction to Fighter Fundamentals you will have four different “tracks” depending on what combat aircraft you’ve chosen to fly. You will begin to learn tactical flying, flying air-air and air-ground training sorties, for the first time learning to turn your aircraft and flying skills into a formidable weapon. Once you have completed your chosen IFF track, you will move on to a more realistic conversion course with your selected combat aircraft. Aiming for no less than to revolutionize combat simulation, the Fighter Ops series is intended for the competitive PC pilot who demands no compromise to realism and fast-jet combat excitement.
