California taxpayers spent $8.5 billion on solar subsidies
Phil1111 replied to brenthutch's topic in Speakers Corner
The Nissan leaf and Chev Bolt are the cheapest US built EVs at about $30k each If the US stopped sucking at the teat of the oil industry it would buy 25 million Bolts or Leafs every year. Which is about 1.6 times annual US sales. -
More than 200 former aids to President Bush, John McCain and Mitt Romney have endorsed Vice President Harris. They have recognized the great peril that another trump president would pose to America. To bad that others can't recognize the danger to America and forsake their GOP allegiances.
-
Is he not just another regular Joe who got suckered by trump? McMaster thought he could keep trump under control just as Jim Mattis did.
-
Agree and apart from that I love to give Brent a deserving hard time. Personally I'm not offended by his STFU because he puts his combat boot in his mouth regularly and its all just a part of his GOP-right wing schtick. happy belated Airborne day Brent.

One branch of US special forces identifies itself as the "quiet professionals". This might be BIGUN . They go on the special missions to destroy the enemy and when they return tell nobody about it. They are so well trained, so expert that whatever they do is no big deal. Its just another day at the office. Our Brent OTOH.... well he may be the _____________. I don't want to say it because it may offend others who were professional beside him.(sad embarrassed emoji)

Is that ego, braggadocio speaking or both?

Slowest start to Atlantic hurricane season…

Perhaps he is aspiring to be like Elon Musk. -
I was thinking some really good weed.

Of course he does. Every master con-man knows the value of imagery.I'm sure he laughs at all the basement dwellers donating to his legal fund, buying gold collectable sneakers and buying DJI stock.

Until republicans pointed out its fatal flaws. Which like immigration most politicians just refuse to address. Populous states have got the shaft from states like Wyoming and others for several hundred years. Its led to the stacking of the courts and abortion bans. If America is the best country in the world where are the "poor" red states going to go if proper changes are made to the constitution.

More likely the view from the high tower is just so distant from facts on the ground. Like trying to read a newspaper from 12.5.

Whatever the local preacher and/or trump tells them is gospel so it will have no effect.

Her praise is simple to find as each week her polling numbers are going up. Off topic, trump's polling numbers are falling. As his polling numbers fall Walz gets more and more material for his folks jabs at trumps tantrums.

Just what I was thinking and those same countries have less drug problems, homelessness, education systems, etc, etc. But the US has AR-15s, trump, declining life expectancy, higher prison populations,oh! the latest USSC approval of political corruption and bribing of politicians. Merica, four more years of trump and all the wasteful spending on elections won't be necessary anymore. No more elections, what a concept.

As compared to trump who can't read. trump had a higher turnover than any single term president ever. "And 31 percent of those White House "A-Team" jobs have turned over more than once, the study by the Brookings Institution shows. "It's historic, it's unprecedented, it's off the charts," the study's author, Kathryn Dunn Tenpas, told NBC News. "I've never seen this kind of turnover before." In just 32 months, President Donald Trump's rate of change has surpassed "all of his predecessors who served four-year terms," she said."

Yet some people still say trump's effect on America will be short lasting.

Babbling idiot is a useful and accurate description. The earlier story I quoted missed the comment that trump made " He continued by comparing Miriam to MOH recipients saying, “She gets it and she’s a healthy beautiful woman. They are rated equal.” Fucking clown rates a healthy v unhealthy, beautiful v not beautiful, woman comparable to the sacrifice of a warrior who has given it all.

mmmm.......mmmm, Ok got nothing.

Funny how George Bush picked national rum day for airborne day.

Agree. IMO Brent regurgitates Trump talking points which are endorsed by about 1/2 of current American voters. Science, logic and facts are not the sole determinants of voters opinions.

Trump changing at his age would be like you waking up tomorrow and deciding to become an alcoholic gambler. Only people like Vance who can sell core values, become something without morals and core ideals. Trump's latest from yesterday, give money to Trump and you'll receive a higher award than the MOH. I kid you not. "Trump was speaking to a group of Jewish Republicans at his New Jersey golf club after being introduced by Miriam Adelson, a wealthy GOP donor who is the billionaire widow of casino magnate Sheldon Adelson. The ex-president awarded Miriam Adelson the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country’s highest civilian honor, in 2018. He recalled giving her the award during his time in the White House and described it as “the equivalent of the Congressional Medal of Honor,” the military’s highest award bestowed on service members for extreme bravery during combat. The award is actually called the Medal of Honor, but it’s awarded “in the name of Congress” by the president. Trump also claimed the Medal of Freedom is the “civilian version” of the military decoration — though it is not — and said the civilian award is “better” because “everyone [who] gets the Congressional Medal of Honor, they’re soldiers. They’re either in very bad shape because they’ve been hit so many times by bullets or they’re dead.”

He would chop Trump up like a fat tuna in the Tsukiji market. Unfortunately his base would never read or hear the commentary.
-
Its too bad that you don't advocate for a real conservative GOP agenda using truth and facts. Somebody here needs to. As usual nailed it. Perhaps there isn't balance because the current GOP is so nutty. Winding back the clock to conservative views and policies pre-Trump would be a start. In an odd way your intellect reminds me of Bill Buckley of National Review fame. With the exception that your political views went MAGA off the rails.

Aren't Brits a violent kinda people to start with? I mean its regular news that football fans are rioting and causing trouble all over Europe.

Seems excessive. But look at the positive side. It allowed you time to gather yourself for four more years of a democrat president.
