  1. Yeah I'm dealing with a couple of software houses right now that are writing user interfaces for hardware that I'm developing. It's a frequent topic when we start talking candid with each other that they're bombarded by clients requesting they add AI to their software package...often without knowing why to add it, what it would do to better the product, or even what it is...they just want AI because it's fashionable.
  2. One of the points Colbert made in that interview was really interesting, regarding the 'intellectual laziness' that AI can induce. It reminded me of a podcast I was listening to about Air France flight 447, which crashed largely due to pilots not grasping what was going on with the plane, as they'd never really flown without a reliable auto-pilot (they kept trying to climb in the face of stall warnings). AI can be a great tool, but my biggest concern is what happens if the lights go out after we've trained ourselves to outsource our critical thinking to it.
  3. Yeah, cause those two examples are exactly the same.
  4. It would take a helluva lot to dethrone the USD as the world’s most accepted currency, but one potential way to get there is incessantly shitting on any world leaders who aren’t ready to kiss the brass ring…which, in praise of Harris, is something she’s too smart to do.
  5. I believe that they now use the word ‘squishy’.
  6. Followed shortly by his infrastructure plan
  7. Anybody who’s loosely followed the shit-show that has been Musk’s Twitter/X takeover should be real concerned at the prospect of him heading up any kind of government efficiency agency…

    Trump

In my experience, you’ve never shied away from explaining things here in the past.

Yeah, she can’t even do ‘the weave’
  10. Thank You! My spit-take on reading that cemented both of my long-term theories: - It's a damn good thing I never had kids. - I am, in fact, going straight to hell.
  11. It depends on what specific denial tactic he’s using at a given moment. Don’t waste your typing fingers on trying to pull logic out of him.

My understanding, which could definitely be wrong, is that because the state felony charges are from NY state, NY’s rules apply regarding voting….

I get what you’re saying: another former Trump ally who had an important message about the danger of Trump….just not quite urgent enough to share until its telling came with a book deal. It’s a story we’ve heard before and he gets no gold star just for telling it. That said, at least it’s another voice against him making headlines before the election. The die-hards will dismiss him as a RINO, of course.

  15. Maybe he's spent his vacation trying to figure out which misspelling of the VP's name would trigger the libs the most.....weird.
  16. Yeah I used to toy with it but he’s on the ban list now. He’s rising to Slim-level trolling.
  17. Probably just didn't have a free hand to type while clutching those pearls so tightly....

Been on the books since before Harris became the nominee, when Trump was thinking this was in the bag and his time would be best spent bolstering Sheehy up there.

Indeed….I saw a few edited videos of today’s presser and it was so bad, I hopped over to Fox’s YouTube feed to see if it was really that bad in its entirety….the only thing worse than his rambling was the stream of comments praising his leadership.
  20. I'd say in that respect, he's more the Maduro to Trump's Chavez
  21. You guys are all talking a big game against Trump right now, but who'll be laughing when he releases his amazing infrastructure plan in 2 weeks????
  22. Winsor, is that you????
  23. I just renewed my auto registration in TX and noticed there's a $200/yr fee to register an EV here now. I have no problem with the state trying to recoup some of what they would make from fuel taxes in order to keep up the public highways. I'm just curious is this type of approach is common in other states as well.
