  1. As far as rigger friendly, I would say the Infinity has an easier reserve container (but that shouldn't affect your decision). For the main, neither are particularly difficult to pack, but I'd probably pick the Infinity over the Icon. Other people will have different opinions, and most will favor the rig they own. For the record, I own neither container.
  2. True I just mean someone should have noticed. (I did not mean or want to point any fingers) Yes, someone should have noticed. I will point fingers, and say, in this case, that someone was Solly. He was jumping the rig, it was his responsibility. Luckily, he came out of this okay, but if he didn't, it would have been nobodies fault but his.
  3. Why would his packer check his AAD? Packers are paid to pack a main, not to be responsible for the whole parachute system.
  4. I knew a girl that thought like that. She had over 1000 jumps, several hundred on the same canopy, loaded about 1.4:1. She never got hurt, until she died, that is.
  5. Not all the manufactures. Off the top of my head, Sunpath,Altico, RI, Relative workshop, and Aerodyne won't make a custom sized container. Mirage only has 2 sizes with a large reserve, small main, but I have heard that they can sometimes be talked into an odd size.
  6. First off, high performance rear-riser landings are dangerous. Even though they are now in vogue, unless you have hundreds of perfect toggle landings on your current canopy, you have no business trying hi-po RR landings yet. Can you land on rear risers on a straight in approach? But to answer your question, yes, you can swoop a sabre on rears. I've done it on a 135 loaded at about 1.4, with good results.
  7. What, like 5-6 years ago, when PD had a 500 jump minimum to jumpt the Stilleto, and a waiver for the 97 and 107? It didn't work then, and now the problem of easy to obtain HP canopies has become so large, what can the manufactor do?
  8. Yes, but he is alive, and if not tet, will be jumping again. The same could be said for Clem Major, same situation, he lived, and is jumping again. Much better odds than getting rid of the main that low, and impacting at line stretch on the reserve.
  9. So why won't RWS make risers with large rings and mini-webbing? I have called and asked for this, and was told you wouldn't do it.
