what do you mean exactly by "take the glvoes off?" More troops, or what? I was active in the US Navy for 8 years and was part of Operation Allied Force in Kosovo in 1999. What he means is that Elected Officials in Washington (most who do not possess a previous military service record) seem to lack the understanding that you cannot troubleshoot or solve a problem from behind the desk. It's similar to you dropping your car off at the dealership and the service advisor telling the technician how to fix the car whild he sits at his desk. It's the technician that tells the service advisor what he needs to do in order to fix the car. The problem in this case with the Iraq war is that too many politicans are telling the Admirals and Generals what they can and can't do when they do not have the onsite day to day experience in the field. This is what killed us in Vietnam (in addition to the anti-war protestors), our Air Force was restricted to "no fly zones" established by our suits in Washington. In order for a chain of command to work properly, every person must trust that the other person involved knows what they are talking about. I warn you that if Congress continues to play Milton Bradley's "Battleship" from the comfort of their highrise leather chairs, we will see an increase of US troops die then what may have been prevented by allowing the Military to do their job. I'm not going to argue that fossil fuel is becoming scarce, but I don't understand why people with big engine SUV's/trucks are to blame for global warming (VW Touareg, Nissan Titan, Chevy Silverado, Toyota Tundra, Ford F-250, etc....) MIT physics professor Frank Wilczek went public in 2004 for calling shenanigans on vehicular caused global warming. He stated in his article that the last Mount Saint Helen eruption caused 1400 times more carcinogens then the world's automotive pollution figures. With that he concluded that vehicular pollution is the least of our concerns. He states, we as a human race seem to forget that our planet is the most ever changing geological planet known to man. Not to mention the PETA activists pushing the ridiculous issue about not drilling in Alaska due to harming a particular type of mosquito which is close to becoming extinct. Traditionally these activist groups side with the Democratic party which currently has control of Congress. Here is what I don't understand... 1. If drilling commenced, what specific harm is done to the mosquitoes? (And I want details, not speculation) 2. What's more important right now, affordable gas so you can support your family, or blood thirsty insects which carry malaria? 3. Why is it that PETA refuses to acknowledge professional input from Wildlife specialists, and Alaska's own two senators who have stated on record that the location of drilling would not harm the mosquitoes anyway? 4. Tell me what food chain would be effected by their disappearence because I don't know of any snow creature that would suffer by their death? 5. Do PETA activists speak this loud when they have the Orkin Man or Truly Nowlin show up with 10 gallons of Anti-Roach, Anti-ant, and Anti-Spider chemicals to ensure their own house is rid of all pests??? Or do they simply allow all creepy crawlers to reside with them in perfect mother-earth harmony as the roaches play Track and Field across their clean dishes in the cabnits??? Well, 1998 was the best time I had in the shower with a girl I knew for 3 years. It honestly started as a time saving thing because we had 14 people in one house that needed to be on the road for a trip in a little over an hour. We figured no big deal cause it wasnt the first time we saw each other change but it always stayed as a friendship. Once in the shower it was all over by just staying "friends"...... My input is that if you plan on doing it, then you plan on giving into temptation cause it's impossible to resist. What's ironic about FOX is that as conservative as it may be, it's owneed by the furthest left liberal in America. I agree that NBC has done a much better job of centralizing their selves after the Dan Rather scandle regarding the President's Air Guard service and those fake documents. I must say that FOX's Bill O'Reilly has done a great job of being independent. Watch his video clips (especially the one with Whoopi Goldberg) and see how he sticks to the subject and task at hand.
