  1. There is no way that I would want to be a proctologist. When I was a kid growing up in Brisbane we had back yard dunnys, you know the ones, little outhouses where you had to go to take a dump. Every week a bloke would come around and take the can away, we used to call him the dunny man, other more kind than us kids would call them the night soil carter. When the can got real full it would slop over onto the dunny mans shoulder after he hefted it on to his shoulder and he would run full pelt out to the dunny truck. I still see visions of grogans spilling over the edge of the can and maggots and swill slopping all over the poor dunny mans back. They would have had to pay those blokes heaps of bucks to do that job. Us kids used to pee on the back wall of the dunny to keep from filling the can up to overflowing. Guess where they had to dig the sewerage trench. The ground at the back of the dunny was just about bright green and stank to high heaven. The poor old plumbers had a bad time having to work in that trench. I am sure that they should have worn full biohazard suits. All of Brisbane is now fully sewered and the last dunny men retired only about 4 or 5 years ago.
  2. I think that the argument that there is no gender differences but rather the differences are created by the environment that either a boy or girl is brought up in is very weak and tired. I am one of 11 siblings. My mum and dad had 8 boys before they ended up with two girls and then the last was a boy. The girls were definitely girls, they needed no encouragement to play with dolls and they had little interest in playing with all the boy toys that were lying around in the house. Men and women definitley think very differently. Why we are even having this discussion is beyond me. I'm putting it down to a weak troll, I'm giving it a T1.
  3. Yes. In fact, we at Rockclimbing.com welcome all forms of porn, mainstream and deviant. Please do not take Jay at his word on the above points. The TOS on rc.com specifically forbids posting porn, boobies etc. By doing so you may invoke the ire of the mods who can institute tarpits and bans. The reasons for this policy is that we run a G rated site. We do have many minors visit the site and we try to keep the site work computer friendly. Many workplaces have filters set to a very low tolerance for porn etc. By posting these types of things rc.com will be very much less accessible from work computers. We cannot have a subsequent rise in the productivity of the various economies where users are based now can we, that just would not do at all.
  4. Please don`t post pics of nekkid chicks and their boobies over on rc.com. By doing so you may be inviting the dreaded tarpit or even an outright ban by repeating said offence. Plese check the TOS for what is acceptable on rc.com. Sorry to be a killjoy but that`s the way it is folks.
  5. More like we are very much wanting to get behind it so that it will work. It`s now a done deal and so instead of looking at the glass half empty we are wanting to look at the benefits for both sites.
  6. Since you're here, you wouldn't have happened to find my bejesus on rc.com? I left it somewhere, but can't remember where! First you`ll have to explain to this n00B!!!111 what a bejesus is. As you can see my losertude is not yet confirmed for this site. I`ve done my bit to help you guys understand the lingo so you`ll hafta return the favour.
  7. Hi guys Phil here, I`ve been an administrator/site manager/moderator over on rc.com for quite some time now. Feel free to ask me any questions so that you can ease yourselves in to the rc.com experience. A word of warning that the denizens of community forum will eat you like sharks. You will be known not as a wuffo but as a n00B!!111. Oh yes there is a thread in general called The Women of rc.com. Flames and trolls are not tolerated in any of the forums. Personal attacks are the least tolerated. The community forum is pretty much open slateher except for outright trollery and flames and personal attacks. There are some very vigourous debates in community and you should feel free to participate. We have some pretty specific nomenclature for a lot of what we do in climbing much in the same way that you would in your chosen sport/passion. Allow me to explain a couple. Rack= A collection of bits and pieces of protection that a climber places in the rock to keep themselves safe whilst making upward progress. Nuts= A set of passive pieces of protection that one places to keep oneself safe whilst making upward progress, usually kept on ones rack until needed. Crack= A crack is a geological feature that one can stuff ones nuts in in order to keep oneself safe whilst making upwards progress on a cliff. Woody= A homemade climbing wall where one can practice climbing moves. Hope that is helpful to one and all, if there is anything that you need to know then feel free to just ask. Oh yes, if you do happen to amass a large number of posts over on rc.com then your losertude will be confirmed and yes you do not have a life.
  8. Hi guys, let me introduce myself. My name is Phil Box and I`ve been helping to run rockclimbing.com for quite some time now. I am fully supportive of this decision to merge the two sites. I do believe that it will invigourate rc.com with the guys from this site becoming actively involved in the management and ownership of rc.com. I`m also sure that the economies of scale that the increased userbase will work to our advantage on both sites. We have some special things that we can bring to dropzone and no doubt this also holds for the reverse. In answer to the site being slow to load, yes that does happen on occasion, once Tim our head code guru looks into it then pages should load as fast as usual. As for me and parachutes, why jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane. Heh, I think I`ll hafta invest in a chute for when I go soloing up a big wall in case I fall off. Anway, expect me to drop in from time to time, I`ll try not to be a bother. If there is anything I can do for people wishing to make the most of their rc.com experience then do feel free to drop me a PM over on that site.
