  1. With the added hassle, and high cost (instead of upgrading suit, you upgrade a full piece of gear including 'the rig') and potential for the movement of the wings actually deforming/moving the container and or its contents, I always do wonder how much difference the small ridges you dont have on the back are compared to some of the already incredible flat baserigs out there. Seems like a lot of effort, especially seeing its done on a (compared to results from other products/manufacturer results with normal '2 piece' rig/wingsuits) only mid range model wingsuit. With all that added work, the performance doesnt seem to go massive beyond what we see in any of the other suits currently used, and also create a lot of potential new problems with the pilotchute location/bridle routings etc that had been thought out/engenered through on current 2 piece setups with a rig/wingsuit. For sure there are already plenty of stories out there about integrated rigs and deployment issues. Not saying its the case here, but seems like over-engenering beyond whats needed... 3. Also compliments from this side for owing up to your own mistakes. I hope Christoph/Virgin-Burner is taking notes and learning a thing or two himself as well... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  4. hyp·o·crite [hip-uh-krit] noun 1. a person who pretends to have virtues, moral or religious beliefs, principles, etc., that he or she does not actually possess, especially a person whose actions belie stated beliefs. 2. a person who feigns some desirable or publicly approved attitude, especially one whose private life, opinions, or statements belie his or her public statements. You acknowledge not having good instructors in terms of what they teach/advise. You acknowledge knowing better youself (judging your advise/actions related to Sangi). You acknowledge being wrong by igrnoring a lot of honest and well-ment advise from people who know better AND have a lot more experience than you. And you counter their arguement with the word fuck to power your empty defense. Come on man. You made a good first step by selling that wingsuit thats WAY to big for your experience level. Now do the smart thing and buy a decent sized canopy. Your instructors are clearly not people who's advise you vallue, or you would not be advising Sangi a lot of the thing you do and did as well...nor do I believe your instructors should be advising anyone if thats the advise they give you.. Vallue your life a little higher, and dont fly big wingsuits, dont basejump and dont fly small canopies to numb the pain/be cool/be special/be a rebel. I vallue you as a person. but I've seen you skydive, seen you land and I for sure would sleep a lot better knowing you're actually flying gear that fits your experience level instead of this ego based choice in small gear. 5. As Skwrl mentions, do a few jumps on your smaller wingsuit, and combine those with a good coach (one who works on body position, leg/arm inputs, and how to fly, and not tells you to change zipper settings). Most likely you're making inputs that are a tad too big. With several of the large surface model wingsuits, his leads to arm inputs influencing leg inputs. Counter steering and in case of compensating leading to an exaggerated version of pilot induced oscillation. You're actually creating/feeding the instability with your corrective movements. 6. Visiting Siofok, Hungary past summer for the Marko Mike Wingsuit Boogie & Performance Competition I was amazed by the incredible organizing skills, dropzone facilities, incredible wines, and beautiful location. With a grand total of 82 competitors last year its safe to say this competition its the biggest one in the world. For coming year the boogie is planned again and will feature the same Wingsuit, Tracking and Naked Tracking catagories. A new element part of this incredible boogie will be that the 5th International Artistic Wingsuit Competition will be organized in the days directly leading up to the event. So I'm incredibly proud to present all of you with the biggest wingsuit competition event in the world! For sure an opportunity not to miss and worth going even for those who have to travel from far. The dropzone has nice cabins, a bar, small restaurant, covered packing facilities and an incredble tailgate MI8 helicopter. 7. Its similar in placement yes.. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  8. Do mind that ANY flying with an airplane should be done (IF you have the skills) with the same direction. Similar to flocking rules. You don't want to have something like this end up a few cm closer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cuIZ5Yr51w The picture attached is one I got from a post that dissapeared on dz.com a while back. No clue where its from, but edited out the callsign from the airplane. But it shows how easy these 'cool' moments can end up in 'someone hitting the plane/propellor'. If you can't fly next to another person with the proper skill and accuracy needed, than don't try and do it with a metal thing 10 times the size, and double the speed. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  9. formatted for PC? Should work regardless. But try a USB stick? JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  10. That aside...if you use a wingsuit that fits your experience level, a normal bridle length/setup should be fine for the first 150 or more wingsuit jumps. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  11. Just water? Have you jump to the water from a boat? Easy money..... Have you jump to the water from a boat going by 20+ knots? You got a nice chance to break your neck and drown. Mr Negative. It was a comment on that video... He DID survive. He DID not need a mutli million dollar landing slide. He only needed water. Yea it probably hurt like hell. But he didnt dorwn, and he didnt break a neck. Though water is hard, its for sure not like concrete. I dont think a concrete slam like that would have been survivable.. 12. Yea...and the best way to assist in case of a heartattack is just for everyone to not have one. But still CPR is a vallueable thing to know. You're quite full of usefull information lately... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  13. There have been many cases where Pilatus exactly matches the wingsuit performance. This carving turn works. But there is an overlapping flight envelope somewhere halfway between a steeper wingsuit flight and slow diving where the angles match. Check this video at 1:50 With a slightly steeper angle, I could have added a bit more speed and we would have roughly matched. The pilots at Empuria do it all the time, and often actually remain next to the wingsuit the whole way (with a capable pilot). Also see this nice video from Cedric flying a V3 with a porter (Empuria) http://vimeo.com/15622773 JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  14. Don't use packers like most lazy new jumpers, but learn to pack for yourself. A wingsuit packjob is like any other packjob. Doesn't matter if you pack like shit. As long as you pack symetricly shitty! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  15. He seems to close wings half a second before impact. The momentum you have is not going to change that much within that half a second. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  16. The contourROAM comes with the adjustable sidemount sticker, and a more flush 'flat' sticker thats not adjustable. Id recommend not going for the adjustable mount, but just putting the flatter sticker on the side. That has the camera almost flat against the sides. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  17. It's already everywhere on the web. But seeing how the canopy didnt do ANYTHING to decelerate or even stand-up the jumper, I think Chris upstaged James Boole by a large margin, and for sure beat Jeb to the punch. No multi-milion dollar slip and slide needed either... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  18. Replace the word 'suit' with 'flyers' and we're getting somewhere. Work on skills...dont blame gear JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  19. As long as they don't put people in the largest suit possible for wingsuit jump #2, check legstraps and dont secretly work for other manufacturers at the same time, they still look quite safe and sane compared to some other brand reps out there JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  20. Ill contribute to a present the moment Sangi's accident convinces VB to also fix his wingload/experience issue. Chris, I've seen you land with crap accuracy at Texel with that thing. Be it 'only'a Safire. You need a massive upsize. You're a good mate and all, but for sure I agree with what several people up here say. Practice what you preach.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  21. Edited to add, Ive seen several people with the camera in a custom made bracket in front of their forehead. Very low profile, smooth sides, so lower risk of snagging a line. And also not that high on top of the head, so no bumping into the airplane roof etc. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  22. They've succesfully kept pilotchutes from deploying the main, hooked other flyers behind them, and caught onto reserve handles and more of other jumpers. Id say the adhesive is pretty strong.... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  23. So that's why it doesnt start thursday yet Thursday nights are always hard! But at least I don't have to sit and be quiet if someone yells 'Who here has ever puked in a Jacuzi!' (and trailer, car, sidewalk...etc;) Ill behave...Ill be busy getting the hang of this new toy Ill be flying anyways... JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  24. With seemingly 75% of your skydives being non wingsuit, and the last wingsuit dives not being terribly current. Id just fid a BPA coach and get your a bit of a refresher. If you are unsure about your ability, and have to ask. Why not just do the best possible. If you do the refresher, and make a jump with instruction/guidence and you're like "that wasnt hard" you get some good video from it for the YouTubes. If you're like "Glad I did that" you also win. Get a refresher/coaching. It can never hurt. JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
  25. YOU where the one complaining about flying at 80 mph. We fly suits half the size you do, and somehow fly 1/3 to almost half what you mentioned there. Also no clue where you got the 80 mph figure, besides you mentioned that a while ago as well. We are not talking about weights. We are talking about ANY big carpet flown suboptimal (in 99% of all flocks) with a wake twice the size of any normal sized suit. Shame you're incapable of intelligent discussion on that subject without going into pissy insults about suit sales, weird repeated statements on laws of physics that even you seem to miss half of (again, answer the question posted) and god knows what. More proof attached! JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
