  1. I'd love to, but very often I simply can't (although hey it's not always that bad). ...Anyway, I've even tried dating web-sites...just wondering now whether it looks THAT desperate, LOL
  2. Excellent! Thanks for a perfect piece of advice! ...You must've had the same experience! ...Could be a nice shot for your photograph collection... someone in a jumpsuit and helmet wandering in the streets, chasing scared people desperately hoping to make some new friends... It also helps if you leave money hanging out of your pockets, the bigger the bill the hotter the woman, it's like bait. You don't even imagine how damn relevant this is for Moscow, my hometown! Sick of it already
  3. Oh yeah, I do ride the snooze button. That's a disaster. In other words, my brain simply does not work when I do that. I tried everything, but it didn't work Strange enough, this rule never applies when I go to my DZ!

  5. You work your a%^ off all week. You skydive all week-end. You rarely go out on week-end nights because you are too sleepy after the DZ. You gradually stop going out with whuffo girls as they get pissed because you are not there on week-ends or whatever....you think that you could give the girls from your DZ a try... but then you bump into them downtown one day, and they look so damn different without their jumpsuits, camera helmets, goggles and stuff...just like all those whuffo girls around (LOL)... Just sharin' P.S. Skydiving is worth all the above!
  6. Thanks, yes, I do realise that. Just found this topic worth thinking about
  7. We are creating a country of people who hate our guts. Not because of religious differences, but because we are torturing and killing them. You think that is going to lead to more or less support for Al Qaeda the next time they plan a 9/11? As a Russian, I might be not the right person to comment on that, but l think, we have similar problems in Chechnya. We have most likely harmed Chechens fare worse than Americans did in Iraq. But something is similar and could serve as an example. Building up a nation that hates our guts. Nobody knows what to do about that. But the gloomiest thing here is that nothing would change even if we withdrew right away. Too late. It will go bad both ways. It's hard to admit, but there is really no way out...It's always better not to start war at all. You can't make them stop hating you. It's too late - at least with the adults. What you probably CAN do is to ensure that their children live in a healthy environment, including visiting the states and getting friends with American kids and being taken away from war, violence and fundamentalistic traditions at home....or am I too much of an idealist?
  8. Airfury, you and your mom will make it! Yes there are bad examples and better ones. My aunt died after battling cancer for 8 years. But my dad (knock on wood) has overcome it! The best thing you can do, judging by my family's experience, is just to be there and to give as much attention as you can. Love and care can save lives!
  9. Do you like my nest on your branch? Feel free to slip in for a beer once but hey be carefull with those eggs!

thezephr, all is simple. It's not Eurograd, but Aerograd, that is - Kolomna - my home DZ...at least that's my idea:)
  11. Oh yeah, skydiving forums may start ruining careers some day, lol...and overloading office internet traffic.... ...a partner of the law firm I work for once walked into my office wondering whether he should ask me not to skydive as he "didn't lose and expensive associate", hehe...he did one static line dive a couple of years ago before and he was damn scared and says his wife doesn't let him do that:)....but I will carry on even if I am fired!
  12. And yet some more congrats! Hey but be prepared for coming back to the whuffo life each sunday evening - and sometimes face irony and misunderstanding... the thing you would probably need to work out (just like myself at the moment) would be how to try not try all the time to drag all of your friends to the dropzone, load them into an aircraft and kick'em out! Or how to try NOT to talk skydiving to those who don't do it... or how not to miss friends' birthdays when the weather is awesome during the week-end....or how to celebrate your own birthday on the ground when you can do it up there! Good luck and take care, BSBD
  13. Yeah, thanks a lot! Lot's of information for a freshmen like myself! Of course I do discuss everything with my instructor...who is also a member of this forum :)
  14. Thanks!...I just thought I would be but a whuffo until I get to my first 100 :)...modesty is not always a virtue, I know, lol
  15. Screwbag, I guess that over those four years of your skydiving experience, you had plenty of opportunities to figure out how dull the "normal" partying with whuffos may be. But that must've become usual for you... That's news to me yet as I graduated from andygrom's AFF course only about a month ago (andygrom - thanks and see u this week-end for yet another RW dive :) ) just curious, is it normal to gradually start feeling more and more guilty about seeing your non-skydiving friends less and less - just because you spend all week-ends at the dz? From my perspective, the better technique is to get as many of your buddies into skydiving as possible. It's a pity that it doesn't work as often as it should...
  16. Thought I wouldn't sign up here until I have at least 100 jumps, but here I am nevertheless
