The exact same thing has been happening to mine over the occasionally over the past two months. I changed the batteries because I thought they were low. It happened again so I replace the batteries a second time thinking I got a bad set. I have figured out that it is due to humidity. This makes sense since mine started to happen as we moved into the wet season in florida and the humidity has gone through the roof. Mine always breaks after a jump when the unit is trying to reset so I just press the reset button with a paper clip and it starts working again. _______________________________ I like life....It's something to do.

Videographers: What's your wing loading?

I was wondering what type of wing loading full time videographers are flying. Specifically those who fly small xbrace canopies. I am flying a a velo 90 at loaded at 2.2 I know the Spectre and other similar canopies were the canopy of choice for a long time but most full time skydivers where I work jump small xbrace canopies. I am wondering if the popularity of swooping and smaller, lighter cameras has changed the trend in what videographers jump? _______________________________ I like life....It's something to do. -
Has anyone noticed this ad in parachutist? On page 65 of the march issue there is an add for anewskinforeveryone.com When you go to the website it asks for a password. The password has something to do with an add in the classifieds on page 78 (I think) I can't figure out the password and these types of things drive me crazy Has anyone figured this out? _______________________________ I like life....It's something to do.

I jumped a neos for the first time on a video jump and it opened so hard it put me out of work for a week with a neck injury. I realize that any canopy can pop you once in awhile so I jumped it a few more times once I healed. The other jumps I put on it were nowhere near as hard but they were all brisk despite different things I tried while packing. It did always open on heading. I usually jump a katana 107 and felt that the neos 99 was slower in full flight. The dive felt similar to me and the neos did seem to have more shutdown on the bottom end of my swoop. I didn't think it was a bad canopy but it didn't have what I was looking for. _______________________________ I like life....It's something to do.

I recently bought a used container from a pro swooper and the risers have been stiched to reduce drag. This has resulted in the front risers being about a 1/4 inch shorter than the rears. This obviously affects the trim of the canopy. While I am a swooper I am no where near good enough to benefit from this mod and am concerned about how it will affect my canopy flight. Short or stich picking or replacing the risers all together, do any riggers have suggestions to fix the issue. _______________________________ I like life....It's something to do.

My dog has a habit of chewing and destroying ladies underwear when I have girls stay over. It always upsets the girls but I find it hilarious. I can't warn them ahead of time because bringing up other girls before we are about to start the mattress mambo ruins the moment. One girl in particular started to hide her undies after losing the third pair but this just made it a game of hide and seek for my dog. _______________________________ I like life....It's something to do.

I know a lot of tunnel instructors/coaches read this forum so here is my question. How did you start working at the tunnel? Did you walk in and fill out and application or send in a resume? Did you start off working a front desk position and get promoted up or was it a case of spending a lot of time flying in the tunnel and being offered a position after polishing your skills? I don't have a lot of tunnel time but I do have approximately 500 skydives with 300 of them being in the last year. I recently started coaching low time jumpers and find these jumps to be some of the most gratifying I have ever done. How do I get my foot in the door? _______________________________ I like life....It's something to do.

IMHO Space Center all the way Both places are great facilities with very talented staff but the people at SSC are extremely friendly and the view is much better. _______________________________ I like life....It's something to do.
