Immigrating to NZ to do tandems, info plz if you've done it

So would anyone have any suggestions on a decent fun jumper DZ in NZ? I am heading out there from Oz at the end of next month and looking for some good times. I've got my A and 80 jumps, with current USPA and APF licenses. I've heard about NZ tandem mills but there must be at least a couple of dropzones where this isn't the case. -
This is a wonderful dropzone with a good crew and beautiful - and I mean beautiful - surroundings. Cape Byron to the East, the mountains to your left. Tickets and gear rental are a little much but for Australia they seem to fit. Had a blast and I am going back as soon as I can.

I can definitely say that listening to music on a skydive is very fun. It's certainly not something I would do when jumping with others, but DSE is right... sunset jumps with music are sweet. Although probably not with Creed. I take mine with a little drum n' bass. The DZ I jump at most of the time is a small one in farmland so I don't usually have as much to worry about as far as traffic goes, although it's always good to be wary. But burying your toggle to some crunchy techno is lots of fun. Be careful, though, because mp3 players can get ruined quite easily by pressure change and extreme temperatures.

Thanks dudes. I read the APF website and it looks like I might technically need a checkout dive, which I don't mind as long as it doesn't cost too much. I'll get to meet someone and jump with them! Also, I am planning on stopping by New Zealand so if you all have DZ's to suggest there I would be obliged. I was thinking Aukland. I also want to try that high-speed luge thing I heard about. I've heard that where I am going to is "a little bit of paradise, mate." I'm f$%king stoked. cheers

Thanks, guys. Is there anything I should know, being an "A" license holder? Do I have to prove myself somehow to be competent at a DZ? I was thinking about just taking the test for the "B" but it is almost the end of the season here in VT.

I will be leaving the U.S. in a month to visit at Byron Bay, Australia for six months. I was wondering if anyone had DZ suggestions for the NSW/Queensland border area, as well as the coastal area of NSW as I will be backpacking up that hopefully. Damn, I am excited.

Three days of awesome jumping and partying with chill people from around the world. Great vibe, great planes, great parties. Decent bands. Great time!

Great place to learn how to skydive. Relaxed, noncompetetive. Lots of experience to soak up.
