    DZ kids

hhmmmm.......bet I know where you were, too. I agree with you Andy. It never ceases to amaze me when people leave their garbage around for others to deal with. What the hell is that about??? I tend to take it personally because if I did that I would do it with the concious thought that I was leaving it for someone else to clean up...which is so totally wrong!

  13. Oh my gosh!! It's good to know we are not the only ones!! Rigger is beginning to lift his leg and the first time I saw it I tried to stop him so Alan could see ... He has, so far, not done "The kick out" I suppose that will be another milestone. The boy is becoming a man .
  14. How about.. "We are here in beautiful downtown Burbank"
  15. In no way did I mean to suggest that I am given advice with no explanation. Reasons are always explained. I just may not fully understand, simply due to a lack of experience. There is no sense in just doing it without understanding. Only if you understand why he told you not to do something, you can learn. Later, when you are more experienced, ask always several instructors. There are many different opinions for everything and form your own opinion. In the instances I was referring to, the instructors concur. As I gain more experience I will feel more confident in the decisions I may make. At this point, I do not feel that way, and am thankful that there are people that understand that. Without an explanation you will only have statements. But if they explain it you can form your own opinion. Again, I did not mean to suggest for an instant that anyone was not willing, or did not explain the answers to my questions or the rationale behind their advice. I in no way meant for my intelligence to be questioned here. And..I appreciate your advice as well.
  16. I am not sure which character said it, but it is from my very favorite episode of WKRP .
  17. Thanks Andy! I am working on it! I do recall asking for an explanation once and somehow a white board, markers, and hand drawn illistrations became involved...I think my eyes glazed over after about an hour, and I lost track of the question! Some of the technical stuff is a bit complicated for me and has to be simplified into terms I can grasp...and just WHAT did you think we were doing in there?? !!
  18. "...a reely good shew..." Ed sullivan "A horse is a horse, of course, of course..." Mr. Ed "Don't DO that Uncle Martin!" My Favorite Martian "You rang?" Jack Bennie "Say good night, Gracie" George Burns - Burns and Allen "Let's hear it from the Peanut Gallery!" ???? Got more? Well Andy!! You scored an 86%!! "Goodnight Mrs. Kalabash, wherever you are" was actually Jimmy Durante'
  19. When given advice, do you take it? Do you even ask? I always ask for advice before I jump due to my inexperience. I just had occasion to reflect back on some of that advice and realize how important it has been for my safety. I don't always understand the issues involved that result in the decision, but I always take the advice and stay on the ground, or do not participate in a certain type of jump, if that is the advice I am given. I would like to thank those that have been there to help and advise, knowing that they have the not so experienced jumpers' best intrest in mind. They are really to be commended as life savers in my book! My thanks is exteneded to: Alan Fitzsimmons, Sandy and Hans Paulsen, Blaine, Mike Gruwell, Mark Shimmell, and Frank Kenyon. Thank you - who err on the side of safety! And I thank God that I was given the good sense to listen.
  20. "How sweet it is!" "Goodnight and God bless" "Goodnight Mrs. Kalabash, wherever you are" "Ah one, and ah two, and ah.." "Goodnight John-Boy" "Heeere's Johnny!" "And that's the way it was, (insert date)" I must be tired, most of mine are goodnight phrases!!
  21. I'm not really sure how people percieve me, but have been told by people that there first impressions were wrong ...not sure if that's good or not
  22. I think nature plays a tremendous role. I never would have believed that a few years ago. My oldest son never spent time with his birth father yet he has his mannerisms, talents, and so very much of his basic personality is like his father's it is amazing. They even like the same authors and artists. They react to situations the same and I can guess what Evan will do based on my knowledge of his father. Blows me away!!
