  1. you are wrong. of course the utilize crossbraced designs. paragliders are where it's at. i've jumped some small and fast canopys but never had the feeling of power and respect than under paragliders. you should do it, the feeling of power and a real effective wing above you is just great. same goes for speedfliers. and acro wings are just outright scary. but as someone said before....they don't have to open.
  2. i would somehow prefer he skips the years jumping, goes for it and after that straight to the hospital where uses the time for some reflecting on his constant uneducated bullshit spewing. i wonder if the dude is trolling....if not it's pretty scary.
  3. tony, when i saw my new x-wing, the first thing i did was go to the sewing machine and make an 11" bridle....just to be sure. i hope i remember bringing the arms in, cause on the v3 i just do a quick one handed pull, followed by arching slightly. i somehow doubt this will work on that moster you made me. it's HUGE.
  4. i strongly suggest after jump drinking as a fourth discipline! edit: can also be split in under disciplines: speed, time etc.
  5. and v3s really are gay, especially purple ones. pink is the way to go.
  6. hm...i saw "it" happen....so no bs here. and it really wasn't meant as a brandwar thing. sorry, next time i'll be more careful with naming brands. still it looks more like a mid air collision. oh well...please continue.
  7. that counts as success? wow! anything is possible in a tonysuit!
  8. worked super nice for me for 150+ jumps now. i use a lazy bag and dynamic corners, a combo that really helps i think. the thing is when jumping the v3 the legwing can do funny stuff on the openings, since the are so slow and snively. i didn't try it yet but i think with proper technique you can use the legwing to spin yourself out of beginning twists . or into some...i make sure to really have it collapsed. i did a couple of jumps with a katana 120 and thats a completely different thing, 4 jumps, all horrible, 1 chop. crossfire2-super nice openings, and i load it at 1.8.
  9. even better : there is a good chance that one of the future missions will have a bird flying INSIDE the shuttle... cause alex is becoming a fucking ESA astronaut! i'm jealous...
  10. i'm the target audience, and i understood instantly. looking beyond ones own nose sure is a fine thing. once you start doing it, some things just seem less and less kryptic. you really should try it.
  11. well in my limited experience of 200 wingsuit skydives... i actually prefer the crossfire2 openings. jumped a sabre 2 for the first 60 or so jumps. then switched to crossfires, first 149 now 129. they open awesome. i pull always the same, full flight, base or plane and so far i never had problems. of course if i have heavy linetwists i know i will sooner or later chop it, but thats worth the fun i have on landing. i think the lazybag i use also helps. just pull clean and you are good.
  12. you have no idea. if you have no idea it is better to be quiet. i was wondering when this would happen. i was really surprised they could push it even that far without interference... i also -for once- completely see why authorities are against this.
  13. booties are not the problem, it gets super tight around the ankle area and upwards. only in boots and crampons though. it gets better with time...i have 7 jumps on it now and it stretched to a point where the closing of the zippers is no longer more strenous than the hike....
  14. little less than 3 years for me...from seeing it-learning to skydive-first wingsuit base jump. overstretched my time at university a couple of semesters though.... started at age 24.
  15. thanks! but this looks quite different than the shadow... yeah robi is great, he pimped my first phantom very nice. so then...see you at wbr 2009 where i will smoke you in my big ass v3(in shocking neon pink and black)!
  16. until the flockers find out if they have penis or vagina i have a different question... what kind of suit is this? top acro, bottom phantom? any other modifications? that legwing doesn't look acro to me. nice colors!
  17. you can cut it away and land where you want. with a flare even.
  18. since stane from atair is involved i think it is a sound design.
  19. Meister mein Meister! do the points add up to the queing of my v3? n
  20. i really do not understand this discussion about the leg pouch. if it is correctly assembled and checked before exit it will work. it always worked for me. i have only a little whiffle ball sticking out in skydiving, never a problem belly to earth and occasionally barrel rolls. in base i have a huge chunk of that 38" zp pc sticking out, also never a problem. and i fly steep and fast with carves. also most people in base have the pcs sticking out pretty wide. has anyone ever heard of a premature deployment? not me. probably because you take extra care of your setup. if you do it like this in skydiving it will also work.
  21. i don't know whats not to like about this... sure there have been others before but this one is done IN STYLE and skill. me like a lot. but of course mr. j"sandy vagina"p can do it all better and has done so at least 2400 times.
  22. phantom made a killer first base suit for me. flies like on rails and if you fly it right you can leave behind the big suits who...don't fly right. leg wing is small enough to take some steps/even run a little on exit or landing. also very easy to pull from the boc. never had the wing in my way. i switched to a v2 after 40+ jumps on the phantom and i still regret it. never jumped an s fly but saw some fly very nice. it's all in the pilot, ey.
  23. dude maybe you should start wanking your dick not your brain.
  24. wow. i average +-2.0 wind corrected on skydives...in my phantom. +-1.6 on brento base jumps. i'm 92kg out the shower. are you talking about consistent 2.3 or just peaks?
  25. Come fly with us and we'll prove it is.. i tried! twice! but i'm just not lucky weather or schedule wise this year... if i did i would have of course smoked you, you clog wearing... oh and by the way notsane, are you seriously comparing a 50 way formation or a 40 way stack with basic wingsuit flying with 2 or 3 people?
