I would like to tell you a bit more about God

I don't know. How many? -
You make it sound like Hollywood is a single political entity. It's not. While the politics of most of the powerful people in that industry is decidedly left, their primary motivation is making profitable movies. That's the bottom line. If Hollywood, as a single entity, actively lobbied of anti-gun causes, I could see your point. But i don't think that's the case.

Who'd a thunk it? -
He doesn't seem too pleased with the Dems, either.

While laws prohibiting certain styles of dress could be the start of slide down that slippery slope to mandatory dress codes, shouldn't local communities have the right to restrict certain behaviors that the majority of citizens find unacceptable? Isn't this along the lines of outlawing public nudity?

Ah, let us not forget that the disease can be avoided by one keeping thier knees together or thier dick in thier pants I know someone that got AIDS from blood transfusion during surgery. Kindly explain how he could have avoided it by using your methods. Are you saying that condom use would have prevented their getting infected?

Which have been shown time and time again. The key word is anyone. Sorry Loonix, that dog don't hunt. -
Why? I'm not surprised at all. If JR is joking or being serious - where's the difference? It's a reoccurring tactic JR uses to attempt to point out the futility of banning guns. His line of reasoning is that since nearly anything can be used as a weapon, all weapons should be available to everyone. This is somewhat tortured logic, but I'm nearly certain you can easily see that, in this case, it takes far more effort to kill a person with a brick than it does to point a gun and pull its trigger. The other part of this is the JR would argue that if the victim had been armed with a gun, then the perp may have been deterred from attacking him. While there may be some validity to this line of reasoning when it comes to defense against a man with a brick, it completely fails in logic since if guns were made more available in England not only would they be more available to the victim, but probably the perp as well. In that case, the person that gets the first shot in is the one that probably wins and in this case, more than likely, that would still be the perp. Essentially, no matter how you look at it, this story fails the logic test as a pro-gun story. Or he could just be having a little fun. Play the ball, not the player.

Yeah. I mean, we wouldn't have Tang, Velcro, or freeze dried ice cream if it wasn't for the Apollo missions!!! Here you go, smart guy. http://www.thespaceplace.com/nasa/spinoffs.html -
I think it takes more courage to step forward and serve, even if you don't agree with the war, then it does to run and hide from the war. What if they're catapulting livestock at you?

I see... running away to Canada (or working the system) to avoid military service can be contrued as an act of bravery? Right.

Isn't Tony Snow's position open after today? I answered a simple yes or no question. Sorry my answer seems to be causing you so much confusion. -
You mean the one about the one about leaving immediately? Any idea how many deaths would result from major civil war? I don't know. Who is saying that? Good question.

You mean a filter can't be overwhelmed by contaminants? Nope Was that "nope", a filter can't be overwhelmed or "nope" that you didn't mean it? I answered what was asked. You figure it out. -
It's pretty hard to give the Johns Hopkins/Lancet numbers legitimacy considering the next highest death toll estimate is only 20% of their estimate. IOW, the Johns Hopkins/Lancet estimate 400 to 1200 percent higher than other noteworthy estimates.

Thanks for pointing that out. It seemed completely out of character for Ben Franklin.

You can only put so much "crap" into the atmosphere.....there's a reason those chemicals kill people and other living beings, they're poison. So what kind of common sense is it to say they're ok just to dump into the atmosphere? Not very logical. You mean there aren't any natural processes to filter out / dissapate(sp?) pollutants? -
You guys are great! Love that over-the-top shtick. Such chutzpah! Reminds me of the "guests" they'd have on SNL Weekend Update. Priceless.

National Elections are a thing of the past. That's right. Dictatorial Martial Law is right around the corner. Be afraid! Be very afraid!!! Peypers pleeeze -
If you look at history every time religion and government have been mixed atrocities are committed under the name of 'God'. Look at countries like Saudi Arabia. Of course, with any major religion that has been around for at least a thousand years, there are going to be some abuses/misuses. But what does this have to do with you're getting testy at my point that Jefferson wasn't involved in the writing of our Constitution? Are you trying to counter any points I've made? If so, which ones?

You never know. Who didn't think Gore wasn't a shoo-in back on Sept. '99? Sorry about the double negative. I don't have a problem with the Dems being in control for a couple of years, but I'm sure there are plenty of liberals who cringe at the prospect of another Republican in the White House. Hope it's close. Should be fun to watch.
