yeh, I love scary movies 'till one scares the hell out of me..can't sleep without the lights on for months..Then I get over it, and long for another horrific scare. Guess it's the skydiver in me. Hostel wasn't as big of a mind f**k as I wanted it to be. Hopefully saw 3 takes the cake.

Hi all, My boss is buggin' me about planning my spring vacation. I would like to visit a dropzone in Europe/Africa/or Down Under. A lot of websites don't have their 2007 calanders posted yet. Any advice on some kick ass international DZ's for the spring?

Yeh, or something of that sorts. I discovered a minivan rental for 5 days would be $400-$500. A car would be half, and a hotel about $65/night. If anyone wants to share a car rental/hotel we could have a lot more jump money

Hello all. I'm getting ready to finalize plans to go to the Thai Sky fest 2007. I'll be going for the first week, and was wondering if anyone else was planning on going. I haven't purchased my plane ticket yet in hopes that I could buddy up with someone in the US to fly with. I would like to buy it soon while it's still under $900! (I know..Very cheap!) This boogie is going to be epic. It's not as expensive as one would think, and I would like to know who else will join me.

So, I know freestyle isn't that popular anymore, but I think it would be right up my alley. Does anyone have any advice on where would be a good place to train.. or better yet, personal experience?

I have torn ligaments in both ankles from past sports and skydiving... Multiple times. At first during the healing process I wore lace up figure 8 braces. Then went to a soft support upon reccomendation of my orthopedist. Well, a few weeks later spained an ankle again in a soft brace. I now wear the lace ups both ankles, all jumps. My tracking is great, I find with both ankles braced, I'm more symmetrical. I track from tilting in my hips.. works great. As for increased breaks with supports, it's an urban legend. I see a spots medicine doctor a couple times a month, and he says not possible. Running out landings are fine, just land heels first! The lace ups that are afforable, and quality are McDavid's, sports Authority carries them in stock.

Well, I am flying a spectre. It's a 170, and I'm 135 out the door. I practice up high, I know where I plane out and when to start finishing it. I'm afraid to go to a higher wingloading because of my crashing problem. I used to use the objects as a frame of reference thing, and that worked, but I was discouraged to use that because I should really learn how to judge height otherwise. All other aspects of canopy are prety good, just that final 3-5 seconds.

I guess inconsistent. My first few were ok. Then the were consistently too high, then my last too low. Nothing has been broken if that's what you mean about hurt. But I've definitly been put out for a few weeks at a time.

So I'm just not seeing it. I'm at almost 50 jumps now, and can't tell the difference between 10ft and 20ft. I've been looking about 45 degrees out, any other suggestions?
