It would be great if everyone had their own interpretation but much of the Christian church faith is based upon how someone ELSE interprets and applies God to their lives. That's why they call them "preachers". And most churches preach that there is only ONE interpretation (usually theirs), and if you wander outside of that, you are probably damned to hell. Can't decide which version is correct so you are all on the same page? Or better yet, everyone has there own interpretation, so everyone is then damned to hell since God says there is only one GOD, and any others are false. Though doctors' salaries are considerably lower in those nations- not an easy thing for American DOCTORS to swallow, considering the enormous expense required to become a doctor here. ----------------------------- I agree, that is a concern. But is it really? I googled a bunch of articles that saw differences, but not huge differences. Bottom line, doctors make a lot of money. If the CEO of a company makes $70,000,000/yr and a new regulation cuts his salary to $50,000,000/yr, y'know what? No one but that person gives a fuck. Doctors in Florida have extremely high malpractice insurance. So they make less money than in other states. But I do not see Florida radically changing their ways to fix that. So the solution is not only Universal helathcare - it is fixes to the tort law system, fixes to the education system, fixes to the billing systems, etc Gotta start somewhere. Maybe there would be fewer lawsuits related to medical bills if people knew they were not going to go bankrupt just because they fell down the stairs. ASSANGE IS MY HERO!!!

not quite right - I choose to pay for my health insurance BECAUSE I have no choice for 'health care'. Your issue might be health insurance but my choice is health care. You are smarter than that as well. The issue is health care, not health insurance. Currently the country provides health insurance. It does a very poor job, if any, of providing health care. again, i will type slower so you can understand. If I was hypocritical, I would preach health INSURANCE while failing to provide myself with health INSURANCE. I preach health care, but I provide myself with health INSURANCE, because health CARE does not exist. Not to mention that I can afford health insurance, barely, but it would be impossible to provide health insurance to all of my employees, as it is for most small businesses in this country. um, I AM paying for it......given a choice I would pay the TAXES to pay for it.... since I have no choice, then I choose ot pay for health insurance. Kinda like since I have no choice, I 'choose' to pay for homeowners insurance as well.

risk and health care - two separate issues. Medicare does not address risk, neither does the public school system insofar as who is eligible, or the public highway system insofar as who can drive on them. So if you want to make risk an issue in public funding, then I am all for it. The military, going into war, exposes itself and everyone involved to probably the highest degree of risks possible. So let's stop funding it. Sounds perfect to me. Does that work for you?

close, but you are heading in the right direction. At the same time let's: 1. Scrap all the state, local, federal, county level plans that currently suck up dollars. 2. Scrap the VA 3. Scrap the military medical system (socialized medicine) 4. Scrap all the other in-between health care plans that are offered at whatever levels 5. Scrap Medicaid 6. Stop lawyers from getting %'s of ambulance chasing claims and put all the money into the pot, along with a small income tax increase, and suddenly we would have Medicare that CAN actually afford to pay for everyone, would have fewer denied claims, if any, and would maintain reasonable salaries for doctors. Not perfect, but a fuck-load better than what we have now, and not only doable, but completely attainable in one election cycle. Too bad no one has the balls to propose it.

I support universal health CARE for all, paid for by the tax system. forcing everyone to buy insurance is doomed to fail. and the sooner the better, so we can get onto the next step - Medicare for all.
