statements that are factually incorrect. We may have fucked up.... We are NOT bankrupt, we have debt. Lots of places do. We are NOT laying off workers, we are hiring. Albeit the job situation can always be better as could wages. There is NO indication that the US dollar is going to tank, in fact compared to so many other currencies, it is probably the safest bet on the planet. but you are welcome to your opinion of course. I just get tired of people screaming 'crime is up' when it is not, and 'unemployment is up' when it is not, and 'the country is done and dying' when it is not. For the most part, we are doing just fine, and millions are doing far better that they were 8 years ago.

not to mention removing women's rights and limiting the vote for minorities, dismantling gay rights and marriage equality. tax cuts for the very wealthy and removing the minimum wage, or at least never increasing it. Poverty rising, less health care, so a poorer, less educated, unhealthy population with more teen pregnancies and more children given up for adoption, and perhaps the rise of the neo-nazi movement, certainly already more empowered than ever in recent years.

What Does This Say About The Democrats Message?
tkhayes replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
I never said the popular vote mattered. I never said Clinton never got beat. try re-reading my posts to get what I was saying, since I said EXACTLY what I said and nothing more. The democrats got beat.... the future is bleak given the ineptitude of the elected party and president. The people that voted that person in will soon regret their decision. That is my prediction. -
What Does This Say About The Democrats Message?
tkhayes replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Sure if all you look at is the county level map. Surely you have seen the popular vote stats? Or are your blinders that narrow? So if I am full of shit because I never checked out your county map, then you are full of shit because you never looked at the popular vote. Therefore my assessment stands, on at least as good a footing as yours does..... http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/hillary-clintons-popular-vote-lead-donald-trump-now/story?id=43667918 -
What Does This Say About The Democrats Message?
tkhayes replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
absolutely that the democrats lost because they have the wrong message and mire themselves in their own scandals, and perceived scandals. Unable to put the right person forward and settling for less with Clinton. And the republicans won because they pander to the ignorant and fearful...not because of a good party platform or because of solid and proven political policies. what say you? -
I think largely because they will decide based on ideology rather than common or economic sense.... The anti-women movement is very very deep on the right. pro-life includes defeating access to abortion and birth control. It does not include education or access to services. It does not include paying for anything. Even if it means more poverty for women and children. Yes, I firmly believe they will ABSOLUTELY vote for that on the belief that people should 'just make better decisions'. The results for an entire generation or two of women could be catastrophic by any modern standard. And once the damage is done, it could take two generations or more to undo it with an new administration, post-Trump.

Actually Rush, YOU are the one that has directly made the claim that Hillary used campaign funds to pay legal bills and claimed that this is a federal offense. You are therefore required to back up the claim. No one else is required to disprove anything. You are required to provide the reference and the links and the data to support whatever claim you made. It would appear that you have failed to do that. Others however have gone to at least some length to disprove your claim by actually reading what tripe you posted and showing you where the logic is flawed. This is pretty much how the world works. When you stand on a street corner screaming about the end of the world....no one has to listen to you unless you have some proof of that and otherwise you can expect to be summarily dismissed. that is not a flaw in anyone else's character or methods....that is your flaw to deal with yourself.

Federal judge investigating RNC voter intimidation

A conservative opinion about things that some conservative thinks might be happening. Well then, I guess that is as good as proof..... -
pretty much sums it up. Greatest healthcare system in the world but only if you can afford it. I predicted when ACA was implemented that it will fail. Making people pay for insurance they cannot afford. If they could have afforded it BEFORE the ACA, then they would have. We accomplish nothing by forcing people to buy ridiculous priced policies and that reality is going to slap me in the face in another 4 weeks. However sitting here bitching about the ACA as the reason for insurance price hikes is equally ridiculous. My insurance was $175/month in 1996, and was $400/month in 2012. That is 6% per year compounding, way ahead of CPI or inflation. Health care costs have been spiraling out of control for years, not just since the ACA came into play. Next year I will likely have to pay $700-$900/month to get a crap policy. I may very well chose not to. I am in that "over 40, over 50 but not qualifying for medicare yet" crowd, the most fucked of all it would seem. The solution? Take all those 'penalties', turn it into income tax, install a public health CARE system, not a public health INSURANCE system by combining the VA, medicare, medicaid and start closing the age gap. Create jobs by building more public hospitals, clinics, and providing education incentives for public health education and training, degree and technical programs. Leave the private system in place for those that have the money and want it, but EVERYONE pays into the public system. A public system is the only solution that is viable and the only solution that is affordable.

You/they may very well 'bring it', but I doubt that anyone is going after former secretaries of state for email use, given that the FBI has already pretty much ruled on it. It will not happen, any more than they are going after GWB for war crimes. arguably he is 'absolutely' guilty of that, given the evidence 'I' have seen and therefore judged for myself to be noteworthy. Prosecution is not, nor should it ever be a popularity contest. At least that is the case in the Constitution that I am familiar with. Maybe some people have a different version than I do. Constantly screaming for persecution does not make a case, it just makes rhetoric. The agencies that are involved with this investigation have already spoken and closed it. Whatever new stuff that might some out of emails on a laptop owned by an aide would have to be simply egregious to be significant, and given the tens of thousands of man hours spent and the millions of dollars, and the tens of thousands of emails that has been reviewed so far, to find that silver bullet is nothing short of a pipe dream. Not to mention that it will likely take many months to review that material, so I am not holding my breath that suddenly HRC will be escorted out of the Whitehouse in handcuffs, as so many foaming-at-the-mouth folks seem to desire. It has never happened, not even in the case of Nixon who absolutely broke the law, got reelected in the wake of damning evidence and managed 2 more years in office all the while deflecting the obvious crimes he had committed. HRC's misgivings, if any, are so minor that it will never be prosecuted for reasons already stated by several agencies. If only some people could put the kind of energy into feeding children, or solving homeless vet issues instead of clamoring for things that will never happen. What a great place the world might be.

Don't look now but they both admitted to using private emails for State purposes. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/09/colin-powell-defends-personal-email-227889 http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/rice-aides-powell-also-got-classified-info-personal-emails-n511181 references included. But of course you already knew that and decided to nitpick over the term 'private server' One would consider your fervor for the issue with more objectivity if your 'objectivity' were more evenly applied.

which just demonstrates that voter fraud is highly unlikely to be widespread....I mean she got caught afterall....

Engineered Material Arresting System - what stopped Pence's plane

would be nice if I could go to a site and not have it blocked because I do not want to watch the ads. Would be nice if I went to a site and if they need money for content then they just asked me for money to pay for the content instead of pretending that watching their ads are so fucking important. -
the claim is that 58% decline in species from 1970 to 2012. a 2/3 decline by 2020, which is only another 8%. that is quite believable given the way we are fucking things up - nothing wild about it. NASA is tracking the decline of coral reefs, pretty much in line with the predictions here. 1913 estimated 10 million elephants. 1989 there were 600,000. just a couple of examples, but with the industrialization and globalization of the world comes the destruction of everything in the name of preserving economic and population growth for humans. The information is out there, but for the most part your elected representatives are convincing you that the president does not have a birth certificate. And what you really want is a cheaper iphone. No worries, mother nature will take care of it all eventually.

Does look like a DC-5, that was my first square jump - a bad parachute on a good day. Above post said a Cirrus Cloud - was that a 5-cell as well? I am not familiar with it. The DC5 had cells big enough to almost walk into.

there are no enough people visceral enough to pick up arms. the handful that do will be dealt with by existing LEO's and put in jail. that simple. Presidential security will cost more again and everyone will complain about it. Most of the complaints will come from those that openly threaten the president....

not likely you will see companies discussing salaries on an open forum such as this.

except that she doesn't belong in jail, despite whatever twisted belief structure you have about how law and order works in the country. People that are not guilty of any crimes do not actually belong in jail - unless you need a refresher on the Constitution and how the system is actually supposed to work. She has yet to be charged with anything. She has been investigated ad nauseum Most of the investigations were conducted by Republicans, and if they cannot make the 'obvious crimes' that you claim stick, then they are truly incompetent, yet I bet you will vote for them anyway. The FBI has put PLENTY of corrupt politicians behind bars, along with all the other law enforcement agencies that we have across the country, so it is not like there is some umbrella protecting politicians from being prosecuted. So don't like Hillary if you want, and have your wrong opinion if you want, be be prepared for it to be shot to hell when you go on and on and on like a broken record about crimes and treason and whatever other rubbish you can come up with. Not guilty because not charged, not tried, not convicted....of anything. Incompetent Republicans incapable of making said 'crimes' stick demonstrates how fucking useless they are. Go ahead and vote for them again. And I still voted for Gary.

actually in less than 30 seconds of speaking, he will be talking about Bill and his affairs and how is going to put her in jail. I mean it has worked so well so far...... http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/upshot/presidential-polls-forecast.html

There is a lot of abuse going on in this field, and I know, because I used to activity participate in the deception of people claiming their dogs are service dogs. Having said that, the dogs I (we) traveled with, were in fact well trained, were trained as service dogs, were not ever a problem, and we were simply not interested in risking/chancing shipping the dogs in crates because of inadequately trained airline staff. We travelled to Wisconsin, California, Finland, Canada and a dozen other places with zero issues ever. Largely because we were credible dog trainers, the dogs were well behaved, we acted professionally, had some credentials and knew the laws. There are few standards to 'certifying' a dog as some sort of handicap-trained service dog for whatever ailment you want to make up. You do not even have to have a disability....you only have to have a 'certified service animal'. A well designed laminated homemade tag with some sort of certification rubbish printed and a red vest on the animal will do most of the time. The Americans with Disabilities Act forbids anyone from questioning your disability, and as a result, obviously, this loophole is being exploited by lots of people. Having said that. I have no issues with well-behaved animals on airplanes, in restaurants or bars, or pretty much wherever. But who gets to determine which is a 'well-behaved' animal? I also want to bitch-slap several animal owners every day for being complete assholes and incompetent.

I doubt that. He is so full of himself, he absolutely firmly believes that he has done no wrong and can do no wrong. He will come out with guns blazing and burn down the last of whatever he believes that he still had. And RonD will still vote for him, along with 30-35% of other Americans.

body positioning on AND through deployment
tkhayes replied to awdordie's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Something to start thinking about during your deployment is sitting up for the initial opening shock. You look like a fairly big guy so the openings are looking like you are getting the shit knocked out of you. You should be used to by now the timing from when you toss a pilot chute to the initial snatch of the opening. In that window, you can also start to sit up by bringing your knees down and having yourself in more of an upright sitting position when that shock happens. - you are upright so your spine compresses instead of getting snapped - your legs do not flail so much - leg straps are more on your thighs so you can use your thighs as levers to control some of the shock and impact. http://scottspin.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Scott-chute-opening.jpg example, not a great one. And don't stick your hands up into the risers, you can get broken fingers and other damage if you have a gnarly opening. Keep your hands say on your mudflaps below the 3 rings and ride through the initial opening part, then deal with opening canopy checks and issues. -
basic premise yes, murder might be considered universally taboo. Unless of course you are talking about Hitler and had advanced knowledge of his misgivings.....then would it be 'moral' to snuff that murdering fuck? Generally yes, but there are always exceptions to every rule.
