http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/stateroundup/election-supervisors-say-they-wont-restart-hunt-for-non-us-citizens/1234221 meanwhile, back to the thread.... Election Supervisors will not continue to hunt for 'non-citizens' in the voting roles. It seems the list was defective from the start. And the experiment has failed. 40 non-citizens out of some 500 so far, wow. So with that rate going. they might find 216 people out of potential 2700 ineligible to vote. HOORAY for my tax dollars. With 10.5 million voters in Florida, we improved the accuracy by a whopping 0.0206% thank you Mr. Scott for that...... http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/04/20/2758871/floridas-welfare-drug-tests-cost.html He flunked on the drug-testing welfare plan too..... But we did elect the Medicare Fraud guy to run the State, so we get EXACTLY what we deserve. an idiot at the helm

Possible Skydiving Reality Show
tkhayes replied to jjrainyday's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
We had a reality show film a bit at Z-Hills several months ago. Their 'sizzler' is out there, but not public on YouTube - -
Apparently you missed all the discussions since that post and the fact that his defense team apologized for several of their 'misgivings'. Either way, your opinion does not matter - neither does mine. The court disagrees with your position and said as much. You can choose to dislike it all you want, just as I have chosen to be 'OK' with their decision. he's a fucking douchebag. He has a lock-tight, water-tight, clear-cut, easy way to get out of this - shut the fuck up and do exactly as the court tells you to do and when they tell you to do it. It's the State that will have to prove him guilty, likely they will not, unless witness statements start to go against him (not likely) but instead, he is fucking up already, as I said prior -making him a douchebag.
-
No what I said was 'wannabee cops', with guns, protecting the neighborhood on behalf of others, whether or not they want to be protected, are douchebags. in my opinion. And yes, my personal bias IS showing - that's what the forum is about

Noise complaints, from Cessna jumpships at 10k??
tkhayes replied to 377's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
It's a simple sound measurement exercise using the right equipment, hiring an outside company to do it. Test the noise level relative to other local noises pike roads and such. -
http://www.tampabay.com/stand-your-ground-law/ Nuff said -great article Law not being used as intended - uneven application- a lot of dead people - ans plenty of diuchebags going free Hooray for us!!
-
circular - here we go again The judge and courts disagree with you and they appear to be following the Florida Statutes, given the number of factors allowed under the statute. lying and deceiving the court tells me that you are a douchebag - hence my original post. The courts appear to agree with that, or more accurately, I AGREE with the courts, given that neither you nor I are involved in the decision.
-
yet you object to the bond being revoked. even after Mark posted the FL statutes.... wow,
-
once again, and slowly. Money is a factor in flight risk and bond lying is a factor in getting your bond revoked. so sorry that the court disagrees with you. get elected, changed the laws if you don't like it.
-
Once again, you elevate your own personal opinion above the court of law in Miami Dade County - well done, may I see a transcript of your law degree pls?
-
I already did - the amount of money you have IS a reflection of your flight risk (skippy), or maybe you missed it. I have. I sat in a courtroom plenty of times in the past 3 years. I watched judges, act, not act. I watched defendants be douchebags and get treated as such and I watched people who did the right thing and got what they deserved. example. The lady up on drug charges comes in for a hearing. Her hair is a mess. She is wearing a shirt that says "Ask me if I care". The judge asks here if she has a cell phone and someone she can call to bring her another shirt. She says yes. He sends her to the lockup for contempt so she can do just that. Complete disrespect for the court and well within his rights - his courtroom, his rules. Z's courtroom? Not really, it's the JUDGE's courtroom, his rules. Z lied, Z is a douchebag. Z gets treated like a douchebag. I do not see the problem. You do not see the problem with armed douchebags walking around neighborhoods looking for a fight. I do not see a problem with douchebags getting held for contempt.
-
He had two, it turned out and lied about it. hence the revocation of bail. read a little more. And again, i have not asked that he be convicted. I could care less. I asked and wanted that he be arrested and charged, and that is done. I could now care less about the outcome. But I find his actions incredibly surprising given how simple it will be for him to win this case. But instead, he chooses to be a douchebag.
-
or a pissed off judge that does not like being lied to.
-
up to this point, absolutely. But this had nothing to do with the media. They did not ask for it, lead up to it, spin it or even speculate it. They simply reported it after the fact.
-
douchebag - my opinion. If I had a wannabe cop in MY neighborhood carrying a gun for the safety and protection of all of us - they would be a douchebag too. he continues to be a douchebag, using the same pretext by thinking that this is some sort fo game with the courtroom. If I was up on murder charges, I would be intently listening to everything the court has to say, following orders and saying 'yes sir' and 'yes your Honor' By all means, he may very well be getting really bad legal advise, but with the $200K elgal defense fund set up, I expect that is not the case.
-
back that up with a fact please. Certainly in the USA, there is a long precedent of courts not following the law.... Nothing to do with agreeing or not agreeing - my opinion is not on trial here, Z, is. He had a clear cut case fo self defense laid out in front of him and I have only ever asked for him to have a day in court instead of getting off scott-free. He has his day in court, he is blowing it - he is a douchebag. Whether you think this is a media case or not, it is not smart to lie to a judge. It is not smart to play 'contempt' He did that and he got burned. The media did not ask for his bail to be revoked, nor did I. It was reported AFTER it happened. outside people had little if any influence on it whatsoever. perhaps you should read more. try sitting in a courtroom once in a while and pretent at least to pay attention to what is going on.
-
I really have a hard time believing that you can be so simply obtuse and are that unfamiliar with the legal system in your own country. He came back TO Florida to turn himself in - he already left, therefore he has the means to leave. It's a 'legal defense fund' but it's really just a bank account - and if he has access to the money, then it is his. Try and redefine it any way you want. It adds to his risk of him leaving. I agree with the court - mostly because I actually have soem respect for the courts. And the bond is designed to keep him home now and forever, up to the end of the trial. If things start 'not going his way', he can still go AWOL later on - or perhaps you did not think of that. Not to mention the disrespect to the court. Judges really do not like having defendants or anyone else for that matter pretending that they are smarter than the court and lying in front of them. Now even his wife might be arrested for contempt. If you are going to be a douchebag, then you can expect to get this treatment. Z is a douchebag, and it began the day he decided to be an armed neighborhood wannabe cop, If he guilty? Who knows? - but he'll get his day in court, but he's still a douchebag and he demonstrates it once again. But of course, you are welcome to offer YOUR services and go stand in front of the same judge and tell him like it really is.....I would love to see that.

Is it worth me flying to Florida this time of year?
tkhayes replied to jonno's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Skydive City in Z-Hills is a fair bit slower int eh summer, we even close Tues/Wed. But we did fly 22 loads today in the Otter and still have great weekends and sometimes busy (6-10 loads) weekdays. So yes, we are flying, RW organizing, freeflying, wingsuits, tandems, AFF, the bar is open every night, the sun is shining and it is f****ng hot and humid -
agreed. None of which is evidence of the existence of a deity or God - it's just your personal experience.
-
Income level IS a consideration of flight risk.....skippy....
-
absolutely, but who knows what their strategy may be or even if they have one. COuld be bad judgement on the money side of it and perhaps Zim did not even tell his lawyers about the other passport.... who knows, either way, it's dumbass for them all around. I think all he had to do was shut up to win this case, but seems to dig himself a hole....
-
And I mentioned it because, as I said, once again, it was directly discussed with me, here in Florida, by a number of people sitting at a table at a congressional meeting with our Rep Rich Nugent.
-
Since the court said it is so.... If you don't like the courts and the judges decisions, then you are welcome to run for office and write new laws to change that.
-
again, my personal experience, here in Florida in the past week, outside the forum - a lot of hillbilly rednecks here directly referred to race regarding this story. Hard to believe I know that racist people exist, especially here in Florida.....
-
the race statement came from my experiences outside the forum, but here in Florida. And there were enough references to policy - sterilization.
