    Darius my friend, I am not going to turn this into a "does Israel have a right to exist" thread or does it owe its creation to the horrors of the holocaust. The only thing I would agree to is that the Holocaust showed how important it is for the Jewish people to have their own state again. It's by no mean the justification for the creation of Israel. This e-book is well aligned with the antisemitism of the current Iranian government and it is simply disgusting. anything from the message, through the text used the the Nazi-like cartoons that accompany it.     This is an e-book published in Iran (Tehran's Science and Technology university, if I got it right). This is probably one of the worst anti semitic, Holocaust denying publications I have ever come across.     Its very convenient to say they are "trying to stop militants from firing at Israel". Hamas is the government and security forces in Gaza. Rockets are fired from Gaza all the time. This specific one was much bigger and longer range. There are VERY few "organization" in Gaza that can launch such a rocket. Even more so doing it while Hamas is "trying to stop them". My point wasn't to start the discussion that will probably happen anyway. It was to simply to point out that one day after the Arab league supported direct negotiations between the PA and Israel, Hamas is starting to cause trouble again.     The Gaza strip has a border with Egypt too. Israel does not control Gaza, it controls its borders with Gaza, like any other country. Where does it say that a country has to provide acess or supplies (which Israel does, btw) to an enemy government? "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

Grad Katyusha rockets and mortar shells fired at Israeli city While smaller rockets are being fired every now and then all the time at border towns, this is a military grade Katyusha rocket, targeting a major Israeli city. Not suprisingly, this happened as the PA and Israel are about to start direct negotiations again. I havn't seen any reports on this in the mainstream media. I wonder if they'll mention it if/when Israel retaliates or, as usual, will blame Israel... "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

    Oh, please do share that piece of wisdom with thos of us who don't get it. I never said he raped her. I said he lied to her to get her to sleep with him. While this shouldn't be a crime IMO, his story is BS. it almost sounds as if she forced him to have sex with her... Just in case you missed it, I'll say it again.     Sure... I can't remember how many times a random woman approached me in a store, came on to me and asked me to have sex with her on a nearby roof. This guy is a stud. His wife must be so proud... I can only imagine the outrage in the Arab world though, if an Arab girl would have been deceived like that. in either case it should not be a criminal issue. and again, he pleaded guilty to "rape by deception" He didn't plea guilty to being an Arab and sleeping with a Jew, which is not a crime in any way or form. When a girl accuses someone of a rape, that's what they go for. In my opinion, if a girl files a false complaint, she should serve the same jail time the man would have. I have no idea why he pleaded guilty, but he did. Now that he got jail time, he will appeal, and I hope this all mess will be thrown out of court. "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

    His "crime" was lying about being Jewish and single while he was not Jewish and married. don't twist it to sound as if inter-religion sex is outlawed in Israel. and, there was no ruling here, it was a plea bargain but again, I don't think it is a criminal issue. It was a plea bargain. so the judge had nothing to do with him being found guilty - the problem started with the sentence (his lawyers didnt expect jail time). high ranking officials also said no jail time was in order. - there will be an appeal and it will most likely be reversed. so, so much for the racist Israeli system... he pleaded guilty... oh, and on top of it all, he is married too....     once and for all, there are no such laws in Israel. The reason here was the deception, not actually being an Arab. don't mix up the facts. as much as I think taking this to court is stupid, the issue wasn't inter-racial relationships. Israel is a free country and you can sleep with whoever you want. the issue here was the lies he told to get her to sleep with him. "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

    should I search for all of the times you said Israelis see themselves as the chosen people and don't respect anyone that is not Jewish? agreed. some times the ideal is not possible. and again, racism has nothing to do with it. there are more roads and areas that I can't go into BECAUSE i am Israeli.     agreed, in a perfect world. Also, having sex with, is a little more intimate than being friends with, so I can see why (especially for women) it will mean more. ...or she got pissed for being lied to and dumped and wanted revenge. you don't know the whole story. but again, even if she is racist and only wants to sleep with Jews, who are you to tell her not to? its her body and a very intimate activity. my problem with your statements is that you infer that Israelis are racists. again, she can chose who to sleep with and she can be as racist as she wants about it as it is her body. she cannot cry rape after it and taking this to court is messed up. and if you had read the talk backs on Israeli news sites you would have seen that most say the same. this is not a matter for criminal court. still, this guy is an asshole, especially if he knew its important to her.     sorry, i missed the other part of your post. yes. which is why I dont think its a criminal matter. you try to make it appear as if there is a law that Jewish girls are not allowed to sleep with Arabs. this is not the case and you know it. Most of the reactions in Israel to this issue are that this is not a criminal issue and that she should have lived with it and moved on. no, but you say all Israelis are racist because one girl got upset that the guy lied to her about being Jewish.
