  6. a good quote from my'social expolorations of the city' modual for geography: "sex is biologically determined, but gender is socialy conditioned and determined"

  14. Me too. After a weekend of early mornings and lost sleep, traverling time, jumps (I found any significant RAPs levels exhasting) etc I am shattered by sun night. Then I get back to halls looking forward to a shower, beans on toast and a dvd and am greeted by my friends guilt tripping me into going out Leeds University Skydiving Club www.skydiveleeds.co.uk
  15. When I was 7, mum took me to a judo class for kids to see if I would like it, but when we turned up they were having a special publicity night. There were photographers from the paper and they made me get all kitted up and had me hold one of the instructors (or whatever you call them) in a throw position (he was kneeling down). I think they liked the idea of a 7 year old girl in the shots rather than one of the spotty boys Anyway, the photo was in the paper, about A5 size and in colour so that was my 15 mins of fame. Oh, also when I played in the Royal Albert Hall in some concert Imanaged to get in the background of a documentary Leeds University Skydiving Club www.skydiveleeds.co.uk

  19. *puts hand sheepishly up* I went for a tall tree branch, a huge picnik rug, a rope and my climbing harness (I was about 8). A sort of cross between BASE / rope jumping / bungee jumping and skydiving. All I have to say on the matter is ouch those rope burns and sore sore legs, even worse than the rapid openings on the student 280's Leeds University Skydiving Club www.skydiveleeds.co.uk
  20. Yes it was. I just saw it tonight and apart from the length it was really enjoyable, even with having read the book. With all the bad rewievs I had expected it to suck - so I was pleasently suprised
  21. wow, those are two interesting posts. Before I started skydiving this year, just about the only fotage of skydiving that I had seen had been skysurfing jumps, on ads etc It seems a shame that not many people are into it, I think it makes for interesting videos, but also looks like it has the potential to go horribly wrong. On the LAST website, the clip of the cutaway looks painful - did you tear ligaments in you leg or anything? Leeds University Skydiving Club www.skydiveleeds.co.uk
  22. All of you people that have won cool stuff, do you enter just about every compertition or are you just very lucky and only entered a few? Leeds University Skydiving Club www.skydiveleeds.co.uk
