Skydive Elsinore VS Skydive San Diego
imthegerm replied to FlyingJarhead's topic in Events & Places to Jump
san diego did just get all new gear, like billvon says.and it is very nice too. the AFF instructors are fantastic. some of the best. ask for patrick or nick. jenn the ground school instructor is great. what is great about them is they will not push you through the AFF course if your not doing what you should be doing. (too bad brooke isnt there anymore. he was my favorite. He left with Andy, rightfully so. ) -
Skydive Elsinore VS Skydive San Diego

SKYDIVE SAN DIEGO, hands down..that's my home dropzone. It has the most consistant winds, greatest ever instructors. The Best! I have been to Perris, it is WAY too crowded, for beginners anyway. Skydive San Diego is excellent! Check it out: http://www.skydivesandiego.com -

Yes, those glorious PLF's. a friend thought for sure when he saw me coming in so fast, that he was about to see the best PLF ever, he thought I would roll about 100 ft, dust myself off and stand up and walk away. that is what should have happened. ta da! i thought i could run it off, der...oopsie! :(

Hey, I have been there before. I had completed my AFF training in San Diego. Waited for more than thirty days, (first mistake), and was terrified to go up again. I don't know what got into me. Then, I finally went and did it, it was jump #13. My skydive went great, but I had a hard landing. I needed surgery. Just got cleared to go again. Just go hang out at the dropzone, watch and ask questions. Usually, you will find most skydivers are willing to give advice and answer questions. Good Luck!

ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN GIVE ME SOME HELP WITH MY ANTICIPATION ABOUT JUMPING AFTER A BAD LANDING? I had a hard landing, totally my fault, broke my leg and had ACL reconstruction in February. From what friends and bystanders say, I just did not have a full flare. Ooops, that will never happen again! I feel it is time to jump again. I am having ALOT of hesitation with this and need some advice on how to just go and get it done. I know after I get out of the door everything will be alright , but I am having trouble doing just that. Getting on the plane. HELP!!

student anxiety issues update
imthegerm replied to imthegerm's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
this is an update for everyone who really helped me out with some STUDENT ANXIETY ISSUES! after a 30 day refresher, i finally got up there and had a perfect skydive! my landing was a little rough though, i have a tib/fib fracture, no acl and a bunch of misery. i saw the windsock on the way down, it was full but i was still moving really fast and didnt know why, i just knew something was wrong. well i made the stupid mistake of trying to run it off! oops! huge mistake! first leg on the ground took all of the impact. should have tucked and rolled. der. that will never happen again, thats for sure, cant wait to get back up there. thanks for all of your advice, it was really very helpful.. -
hello, im having a serious problem right now, I am trying to make my jump #14 and I think that I have waited too long, last jump was dec.31st. due to DZO change ups (skydive san diego) and other menial hassles, i am having trouble with anxiousness. i went to my DZ twice this weekend and both times could not even make it to the equipment rental area. i feel very anxious and scared to death. my 13th jump was a little scary, pulled upside down at 3500 ft. at least i didnt compromise stability for altitude! ? I dont know why i'm suddenly scared, but does anyone have any advise on how to deal with this? once i'm out the door i'm in heaven, normally...just very hesitant out of nowhere..help me...
