What to do when she tells you she has a boyfriend
sartre replied to LongWayToFall's topic in The Bonfire
I am not sure where I responded to someone in this thread saying they were bitter. I can't seem to find that post. Again, perhaps it was how you interpreted, but it wasn't my intent.edit: OK, I found the post you're referencing. But Ryoder is a friend of mine and I was teasing him. I in no way was serious about that. Sorry for the confusion. The only person I have said seems bitter I said it to in a PM. THAT person made it public. What I hoped to accomplish from that PM (not that I should really have to try and explain AGAIN, and not that I think for a minute it will change what you think of me) was to tell him, I was willing to listen to what I needed to change that was apparently pissing him off so much. I have been accused several times of being bitter, but I don't make a habit of accusing others of it. At least I certainly didn't think I did...but perception is different for everyone, and makes it true from that person's point of view. -

Again, you make no sense to me, but I don't have to live with you, so makes no difference to me! It's funny how you don't bother to respond to anything I have to say unless it's to try and poke at me. Are you and Conundrum related? It's all good -
What to do when she tells you she has a boyfriend

I'm saying what I'm saying. What's so complicated? It's bullshit that ALL of any gender ALWAYS or NEVER do anything. Seems like a pretty easy concept to fathom. Now, your message, I must admit, doesn't make sense to me. I have no idea what you're trying to say. Nor what it has to do with anything I've said. -
What to do when she tells you she has a boyfriend
sartre replied to LongWayToFall's topic in The Bonfire
Well, I've lived a lot of places. Colorado just happens to be my current home. I don't find people particularly more friendly than anywhere else I've lived and I spent 11 years in So Cal before moving here. But boy have we digressed off of the original topic! Let's get back to stereotyping and generalizations and bitterness towards the opposite gender in general!! Particularly when they are so rude as to be involved in a relationship and admit it openly! -
I don't understand the mermaid one....

No, you didn't ruffle my feathers at all. You just made me feel sorry for you. I'm sure it's been a looong time in between relationships for you. And you're just bitter because the attractive ones tell you they're in a relationship in order to not hurt your feelings. -

His statement was that ATTRACTIVE women ALWAYS stay in relationships until a new one comes along. I guess it's just us ugly ones that are capable of breaking off with one before starting with another. (I'm not including you in the 'us') I have numerous very attractive female friends who have been single for a number of years. I know more women who do it that way than who start up another immediately. And I'm sorry, but I just don't buy that guys get tons of dirty looks when they act like gentlemen. I don't think there's tons of people out there who make a habit of giving people dirty looks. I see many more people being friendly and courteous than I do the rude ones. Maybe it's just that I'm really good at ignoring rude people....at least in person. Not so good on dizzy! At any rate, I'm sure that these negative impressions are the truth for those of you out there expressing them. But I am also sure that I see way more polite people out there than impolite. It's just that the rude ones make more of an impression. -

Are you guys exagerrating? I can't imagine so many women giving dirty looks for holding the door open. I'm more likely to give a dirty look to someone who goes in in front of me and lets it slam in my face...male or female. I always hold the door open for others, and I always appreciate when others do it for me. And I make a special point to be gracious to the men that are ahead of me, yet hold the door for me and let me enter first. Common courtesy should always be appreciated. -
It will be MUCH colder than Colorado was, so gear up.

Do you suppose we'll have to report it as income on this year's tax return?

You know, I know I'm not the most attractive guy to have graced the skydiving scene, but if you can't be happy with yourself, you can't really be happy with anyone. Which I recently figured out. The pic will be coming eventually. Hope it's appreciated. -
Well, I'd be good with losing the draws completely and just showing some skin then....

Actually, that's not what I said. I said that lately you seemed angry and/or bitter, and I was attempting to let you know that I for one would be willing to listen if you had constructive advice on how to fix the things that seemed to be of issue for you. However, because you and many others automatically take things in the most negative light possible, the comments were taken in a completely different spirit than I had intended. You could have had the conversation with me privately, but that wouldn't have stirred up enough drama. I misjudged you when I thought that there was something constructive to be learned that you might be willing to share. Ok, I'm done feeding the drama addicts. Any time I stick up for myself, I'm accused of being: bitter, angry, dramatic, etc. A wise person recently told me that you tend to see in others what's inside yourself. I think he was pretty right on.

I didn't do or say antything that was ban-worthy I said he seemed angry. He responded by calling us both assholes. Several others commented on assholishness or lack of, but I did no namecalling. Oh, and I said I'd pm whomever I damned well pleased. Still not banworthy. Sorry drama addicts, I'm still here. Oh, and as for the pot, I think a large dick would be a great addition.
