It's two years that new recruits would have to be in a line infentry roll (Witch would mean two rotations to Afghanistan. Then after that time you would be able to go in to you selected trade. This is probly one of the best changes there has been in a long time. bEvery Person should have nasic infentry skills!!!! The Airborne were disbanded in 1995 (I was posted in Pettawa at this time but from the missed one hell of a farewell parade as the RCD’s were in Bosnia at the time) and moved the Jump companies out of Petawawa. Each infantry regiment now has a jump coy a 3rd Battalion The Royal Canadian Regiment (Pettawa Ontario), the 3rd Battalion Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry(Edmonton Alberta) and the 3e Battalion Royal 22e Régiment (Valcartier Quebec). Once you are posted to a regiment you then can apply to be in the jump coy. Being in Canada and ther being a abundunce of snow that had to be cleared and piled some where gave us the Hill's we needed to Play King of the Hill. First one to the top was the king and everyone eilse woild try to knock the king of to become the new king. I rember how effective it was pushing those comming up dow in to other to take out several oncommers at once. Ahh those were the days. The other week we were at the park and my oldest 6 likes to climb well he was climbing on climber over top the monkey bars ect when this woman stops here car and freaks and starts asking where his parents are. Then she was starting to procede to give me a lecture. I alowed that to last 1.4 seconds. Give me a break will ya shure he could fall but wasn't that high and I feel letting him take some risks alows him to learn to judge for him self what his limits are. We shield kids so much that when they grow up they are nor ready for life they take higher risks on ther own as they have NO risk assement skills as some one has been doing it for them all ther life. Scraps bumps and briuses are part of life (a broken bone isn't that bad either). I'm sorry but the every one is a winner is crap !!!!! shure there are hurt feeling but competiveness and how to deal with emotione of lossing and winning need to be a part of life !!!!!! I did My AFF at Grand Bend. Great DZ for instruction With Bob. And going to the Beach on those hot days the view is great. Oh and the View when jumping is great too. SO this one time at band camp..... "Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most."

Computers are my bread and butter, quite a few years back when I worked in a call center for HP I talked to a 80 year old grand mother through a hard drive swap. on my AFF I learned to spot early on and part of the solo here in Canada you have to do 3 self spoted jumps. I jump at a Cesna DZ and learnt to spot doing rate 1 turns. NASA would have much more research data witch could be much more damaging if leaked. NASA as done testing for prety much every part of the goverment at one level or another. congrats two will keep you bussy lol !!! and whats wrong with snow ? I've got my snowboard gear out and been getting it ready and going to tuneing up my snowmobile winter rocks !!!! I love skating with my kids, sleading , playing in the snow. I hate this time of year crapy weather to windy to jump and to wet and cold to do things out doors and now snow to play in.
