    I'm trying some demos, currently have a Pilot 188 in my rig (love it after 4 jumps). I've been jumping a Spectre 210 (@.94:1) and I'm looking to downsize into a somewhat conservative 9 cell design. I'd like to hear some comparative observation on these 3 canopies and whether there's anything I should be aware of pre-demo.

    True. The poll also fails to take into account the varying consistencies of crap, and the different wiping techniques they can call for. So the system's inherently flawed. I suppose I should've put an "I just take a shower" option in there . Sometimes it just comes down to that.

    Assuming you’re using 60 watt bulbs, 60 watts x 24 hours x 30 days = 43200 watt-hours (or 43.2 kilowatt-hours). Assuming your power company charges 10¢/kwh, it costs $4.32 to continuously run that 60 watt bulb for a month.

    No, I still have most of my requirements left to get signed off. I'm really not actively pursuing the requirements, but there's really nothing left that's not doable in a couple jumps. It comes down to the instructors always being busy with tandems and not wanting to pay for coached jumps. I think it'll come down to hitting a DZ with more than one AFFI and less tandem traffic. At this point, I wouldn't even bother with an A-license, only accomplish the card as a requirement for my B.

    I'm curious what people see as the main benefit to holding a jump license. I've made 62 jumps in 13 months, at 4 different dropzones, haven't finished my A, and never been told I can't jump when I go some place new. All DZ's seem to really care about is: 1.Most recent logged jumps 2.Current reserve 3.Current USPA membership (sometimes)
