Yup, and some loads go to 18k. It usually depends on if the tandems want to spend the extra $$. Sweet hypoxia followed by an extra long freefall . The ground's a lot smaller at 18k

It's 9:58 and I'm drinking coffee as well, heading out to Titusville in about 45 minutes

What's mooth? I've seen that word a few times and even after running a search, I still have no idea what it means.

I've had lots of warnings. Having out of state lic/plates and my base sticker has helped me a few times. Ironically only time I got a ticket was visiting my home state.

Oh yeah, that's right.... :o)

Congratulations!! I'm also in Florida, and a couple jumps from my A. I'll jump with ya!! -
Just caught the Scott Miller Navigator-swoop clippit, cool stuff!! Anybody like to swoop big, lightly loaded canopies, say 210+ @ sub 1:1?

I'm 6'3" and my ex-gf is 4'11". Sex on the stairs was fun!!

Backing in to parking spots - Does it irk anyone else?
matt1215 replied to steelyeye's topic in The Bonfire
It's all about visibility. It's far easier to see someone walk across a parking spot I just passed while backing into it than it is to see someone coming while I'm backing out. I also enjoy pissing ppl off by backing my small, short Mazda hatchback as far as I can into the stall, particularly between 2 large pickups. Ppl come along thinking 'Oh, an open spot', then they see my car . -
I used to be deathly afraid of heights. Pole climbing was the first step in addressing that fear, skydiving was really the only way for me to top it. I now have a healthy respect for heights, rather than a fear. Still I'd much rather be at 14k than 200ft.

A few times up the tower, I wondered what it'd be like to just hop off with a BASE-parachute rather than climb down . I was on a third story roof without fall protection the other day, wishing I was 14k feet with a rig on my back and outside a plane. J thought about it at the top of the pole , but decided nah, no line stretch...... LOL

I was stationed in Korea last year, part of my job was troubleshooting/repairing RF equipment aloft. I'm not sure if it was scarier being atop a 120' triangular tower atop a mountain to swap out an antenna or 30' up a power-pole replacing a 23000-volt fuse. I was one of the few certified climbers in my unit so I did both. A few times up the tower, I wondered what it'd be like to just hop off with a BASE-parachute rather than climb down . I feel your pain man, I really do .

Dude, a Xaos-78 would be perfect for you with your superior canopy skills!! Betcha only jump it once !!
-
Congrats dude!! I'm a little puzzled as to why you went for a B with 500+ jumps.
-
Must be nice bro!! As much as I love to skydive, I can't afford to jump anywhere near as much and it looks like we got started about the same time. For what it's worth, I took Scott Miller's class a few jumps post-aff. I'm jumping a Spectre-210 @ .9WL and will be making a few more jumps with Scott before I decide to downsize. I left his class with a lot of stuff to play with under canopy, and that wasn't even one of his advanced courses!!

LOL She got a can of tuna out of this. She bounces off the walls whenever I open a can, so that's her special treat.

If there's a windtunnel near you, use it. I went a few times with my instructor and his freefly team, made all the difference in the world.

From your farts or from your chili tying her insides into knots?
-
Dude, you have such a gorgeous dog!! Is that her pre or post bath? In either case, she doesn't look happy.
-
Giving her a bath every couple weeks keeps my allergies way down. She was pissed for a while, but now she's meowing at my feet

It was bathtime for Shadow tonight. She struggled a little when I picked her up, pulled off her collar, went to the bathroom, and closed the door (she knows the routine). I dunked her up to her neck in a bucket of warm kitty bubble bath, rinsed her off under the tub-spout, picked her up in a dryer-warm towel, and took a soapy sponge to her face. First time I gave her a bath (last month), I expected to lose some skin, but she's pretty mellow about it. Here's a picture of my little wet pussy after being dryed a little and looking forward to a tasty-treat. **Edited to add picture**

Makes sense. For a moment there, I thought maybe Tempo v Smart was a function of when it was made. Thanks bro!!
