    Lucky for me,AAD's are not a requirement to jump at our DZ.Others close by,make it a requirement.Humm,old school rules worked great for yrs.Stuff like when in "Doubt Whip it out",still works!Procedure,practice still gets the job done.Students need help.If your experienced and don't trust your procedures by all means own a AAD!

    Ok,Stinko De Mayo be very,very good to me.I just love my Sometimes GF!Sorry guys no pictures for you(lol)Strict rules of engagement!Oh yeah,almost forgot,she just got it pierced last tues.Life is too good sometimes.(lol)Just goes to show ya,even a blind rabbit can find a nut female bunny sometimes.Be safe,have fun,drink corona,jump once in awhile and make the ladies very happY!hehehe

    This is a tough 1?I let the pilot know usually before I get on the plane if I plan on opening at 5,000 agl or 8,000 agl.More times than not the pilot is landing the plane before I land.We all fly by "Visible Flight Rules".Now,more than ever it seems(because of last weekends accident)we general users of the air space will have to do a better job "Flying our patterns" correctly.Not to suggest that was the problem?I don't know the facts.It does seem like it might have posed a problem?rob

    Humm,women love all the attention they can get.I for sure am no stud.Don't have a black book,never needed 1,think you can figure that 1 out?(lol)Give a woman too much attention,fall in love with her,e-mail her too many times in a day and "all of a sudden" your smothering her?I thought most woman wanted to know what their man was thinking about all day besides her?There is your double standard back at ya hun.rob.

    It was a very sad weekend.We knew gus back when the Virginia Parachute Council was getting started.I had the chance to see gus several many places across the country and my trips to Deland.We lost one of the the best.My sincere thoughts go out to all his family and very close friends!rabbit

    Just this past weekend I made sure to give the young-uns an update on the conditions.Thank goodness some of them listened!A winter time cold front swooping down from the north looks,acts 'IS"still a winter time cold front even though it occurs in spring.The same problems exist.I want my friends to keep jumping.I told them why I didn't bother bringing my rig that day.Humm,winter time condition winds from the Northeast.No Thanks!rob

    If you understand the fundamentals of flight(this includes parachute flight)most landing problems are just a result of not being current enough.I try not to laugh when I see some of the landings I see from A-D license holders.When an A license holder makes a mistake I try to find out what is going on.When a D license holder makes a mistake it is usually "Showing off".Wing loading is important!Learning fundamentals of parachute flight should happen in 1.0-1.1 loadings or lower.Think if you ask anyone of the guys who teach the canopy control classes they will tell you this.It doesn't take much for things to go wrong.Questionable conditions,landing near other objects or other people trying to land pose interesting problems that the low experience pilot may not be ready to handle.Be careful and maybe you should go back to 1.0?

    Mostly I pack for myself.Once in awhile I'll get busy packing others while mine sits in the corner.Tired of looking at it sit,I'll rarely ask a packer to pack for me.There is only 1 parachute I hate packing and that's mine.Not sure why?Maybe it's just a personal thing?rob

    Seems the trend for students is at least once or twice a month to stay current.If I go 2 months with out a jump it's no big deal because I put my work(packing)before my fun.Just about the time I start to want to choke people is the time for me to get out of the airplane.Currency can be described to be the most important when your first starting out in the sport.800+(first 3 yrs)was pretty current way back when.Today it seems the most experienced jumpers don't feel they have had a good year unless they make 250-350 jumps.Humm,is that really that important?Maybe the currency for D-license holders needs to go up?rob.

    I was really impressed with Scott Miller when he was at West Point this past year.Wish he could come back this year.(he is booked)He answered some simple questions that I had about stalling Ellipticals.(you don't)By all means attend a canopy course.People are really surprised when they find out just how little they know about how their parachutes fly.rob
