    Most packers take great pride in their work.I know I do.When a Malfunction does happen,nobody feels worse then the packer.When they accidently "Slam" someone they also are forced to do something different to solve the problem.I.e.rubbers changes to the small ones for the small parachutes and "No Nose Stuffing to the Tail" solved the problem this week.They work hard for the little money they earn.They get little respect and are the most tired at the end of the day.So Right,no Liability.

    OK People,I saw a very close call this week.Remember to keep your head on a swivel down low.Know were everybody is.I'm to old to be scared like this?(lol)

    Not sure which is the correct answer?Some customers "Demand" that you never double stow.These are mostly the smaller more high performance parachutes.On the bigger parachutes I don't think it makes much of a difference?thoughts?

    I agree 100%!Everybody who flies a parachute needs to ask themselves"Why am I not as Good a Canopy Pilot as I could be"?Treat yourself honestly when answering this Question."What can I do to be a better Canopy Pilot"?

    Nice post old man.I see plenty of safely done 270 landings at our DZ.Doesn't mean I'm gonna go out and try 1.I'm always sticking to my landing left hand pattern with just a final 90 toggle turn so everything is always in my sight.

    I never thought this would get such a response.I would like to think that "Deaths" that occur from bad canopy piloting would never be just "Accepted"?We should all try to do more than we would normally do to change the sport for the better.Talking about possible solutions "Doesn't" save lives.Making changes does.TY everybody

    Thanks everybody!I have to agree with Bill also.Acceptable Risk does come with Acceptable Loses.It just sounds "Bad" saying it that way.The Idea that mistakes will be made and that we need to try to minimize those mistakes is 1 answer.Or, take other people out of the flying in my zone to land safe all the time.As much as I hate it sometimes,I must jump alone to protect myself these days.Sad isn't it?

    You are soooooooo right.Accidents happen.Mistakes happen.I jump and open first or last(open 5,000-8,000)(been even known to open 13,500 in Aug.) everytime because of this possible outcome.

    Hard to say Dave?1000 is relative to the type of person.I think I did my first 800 in 3 or 4 years,then slacked off while I went to college.Funny you should mention time in sport.Next month 8/8 is my 30 yr anniversary.Of course it's a tues.,so party and (hopefully Sunset load)won't happen until after working(packing) and VPC meet(8/13).Yes,I'm bringing some kind of good beer.Think this calls for Hinnies?

    I don't hook(front riser)swoop.My Alti 2 reads perfect at 100 ft for my toggle hook,(90 Degree max)if I choose?Lately have not had any condition or chance for toggle swoop.
