I have a FreeZR that works well with my glasses. Someone in another thread recommended to try on different helmets. This is so true. You will see what works for your head. If you get a FreeZR be gentle when opening the visor. It tends to crack if you are not careful. It cost $60 to replace. I PM’d you a guy who did a design on my helmet. Good luck!

Check out section 6-4(d)(5) of the SIM. It says you should have a flashlight to check the canopy.

How do you say '2 pints of lager please'? -------------------------------------------- How about: ДВа пива пожалуйста Pronounced: Dva peevah Pa-zhahl-stuh English: Two beers please

Check out Nationwide. I bought a 2001 YZF600 in 2002 and paid $700.00 for the year in Philadelphia. It is getting cheaper each year. This is a city where insurance is extremely high. Sportbikes get stolen and a lot of people drive without insurance.

Place an ad on cycletrader.com.

Do clearing turns between EVERY maneuver... the examiner won't remind you and will fail you if you forget. ------------------------------------------------------ I am still a student pilot but I hear this all the time about the checkride at my flight school and on pilot websites.

Water Training at Cross Keys in New Jersey-Need People
Eagle7 replied to Eagle7's topic in Events & Places to Jump
I want to get the water training done for my B license. Cross Keys needs several people before they will do this. I think that 5 or six are enough. So far there are two people that have expressed interest to get the water training. For you A license holders with the requisite number of jumps think about it. With a B license you can do night jumps. Some dropzones require a B license for helicopter jumps. U.S. citizens wanting to jump in the UK with a full face helmet must have a B license. Finally, if you have 100 jumps and have your B license you are eligible to be a coach (extra money?) If you are interested in attending a water training class at Cross Keys for the B license please pm me so I can request a class. Thanks -
If this guy is totally blowing you off or has disappeared I suggest you gather all the information you can about his ad on this site and any email address he provided. Also, print out any emails you exchanged and note the day and times of any telephone calls. Put together a little diary of these items along with any bank statements, credit card statements or cancelled checks involved in this transaction and go to your nearest police station. Maybe they can do something for you. Sorry about your loss and good luck.

I live in Philadelphia too. If you want to have a group skydivers Friday afternoon let me know. Tons of history, tons of stuff to see and tons of food.

Here is a 2003 article from the Sunday Herald in Scotland. It discusses the effects of DU on soldiers and civilians in Iraq. http://www.sundayherald.com/32522

This was my video. The guy in question left under his own power. He looked like a fish on a dock that flopped until he found water but it was his own power. no one assisted. 3 people tried to put his seatbelt back on. he scooted away. I was out of my mind, I don't remember leaving the aircraft. -------------------------------------------------------- At 32 jumps I can not understand how anyone can hurl themselves out of an airplane when they are not mentally or physically fit to do so. I have read over and over on these boards that even if you do everything right you can still die. This seems to be doing everything wrong. This is like a drunk driver saying, “I will be alright to drive because by the time I get there I will be sober”. Instead of the drunk driver operating a two ton missile horizontally on the streets this is like a 120 mph rocket hurling vertically to earth with no guidance system. As a student pilot this is very poor decision making by the jumpers and the pilot. This is way beyond the examples of what not to do in my pilot textbooks (or in my skydiving training). If someone recognized that the Oxygen was not working (is there a gauge or confirmation procedure?) maybe the pilot should have scrubbed the jump, told everyone to put on their seatbelts, immediately descend to a safe altitude and then land the plane. I know I am new but I believe I am speaking from common sense. I will continue to read the comments of the more experience skydivers on this. I am new so I will probably be flamed for opening my mouth but Jesus.

Thank you for your responses. I will read the links provided and discuss with my instructors. I want to begin to start working on the requirements for the B license and I want to get good at RW.

I just have a few stupid newbie questions. What is a good definition of the term “turning points”? Does it mean the number of times you touch different grips in your group? I was told that there are four moves a four-way can do and that you practice them over and over. What are they and are there diagrams in a publication, etc? Finally, what type of points can be done in a three-way? I checked the online version of the SIM and searched the forums and could not find this information. I will run any information you tell me by my instructors. Thanks

I am definitely happy with it. It is the only helmet that fits over my glasses. I also like the view, the fit and the audible pockets. I am going to get a new visor and just be mindful when opening the visor locks when under canopy.

Yesterday I opened up the visor on my FreeZR helmet after opening and the face shield cracked. My hands (I had warm motorcycle gloves) were freezing after the long ride on a Cessna 206. My hand on one side slipped and the visor locks were not opened at the exact same time. I took it to the Square 3 store and I was told some guy on a skydive team cracked his visor the previous Saturday. I do not know if this is a strange coincidence or that the two visor locks must be open at the same time. I am posting this so FreeZR owners can save themselves the $60 cost to replace the visor.

That is a cool design.

This is from the SIM 2. Jumps for license and rating qualifications must be signed by another licensed skydiver, a pilot, or a USPA National or FAI Judge who witnessed the jump. 3. Jumps to meet skill requirements must be signed by a USPA Instructor, Instructor Examiner, Safety & Training Advisor, or a member of the USPA Board of Directors.

About two weeks ago a mom put pepper in her son’s mouth for cursing. The kid ran outside the house crying. A neighbor asked what was wrong and he told the neighbor what his mom did. The neighbor called the cops and they locked the mom up. I am not a parent and I am in no way telling you how to discipline your child. I am just throwing this out there to let you know what “could” happen today in some cities. Even if she is found Not Guilty she will have to miss work, go to court, pay a lawyer and her son will have to live with a relative until the case is over.
