....inflatable love dolls. These wern't the good kind either. They were the knockoff kind. This must be some kind of black market knockoff inflatable love doll. Some one was messing with the love dolls. Some one had gone too far. Just then....

I load my Saber to 1.3 and when it is open it flys great. Openings are not so great. In my opinion it would be one thing if it opened hard all the time or soft all the time but it does not. Some openings are good others are not. The problem with the incosistancy is that it is hard to develp a feel for trouble. For example when you actually have a decent opening if feels like a streamer. But enough about that. After it is open if is cool. I would definatly recomend one as a first canopy. They are fun, can swoop a little, and are easy to land. All and all a good canopy.

Also, be carefull of shadows. Our instructor told us that some people see their own shadow at five to fifteen feet and think it is another canopies shadow and turn to avoid it and, then guess what...low turn injury. No one got hurt on our jumps. Two people landed off (we never heard them open either) so there was some tense moments until they got back. Everyone else got back to the DZ and had good landings. I had to stumble a little and do a little running at the end of my flair cause I tried to surf, yeah that was probably stupid but it was fun!

I did my first night jump last night. Wow, that was so cool! It was so weird but so much fun. It was so cool just to step into nothingness. The blackness of the ground and the total lack of depth perception was unreal. Just tracking on my back and watching the sky was totally diffrent with stars above me. It was just beyond description.

I also must say no. Even when I am looking at titties I want to look at more titties. But that might just be me.

The A-Team ready to jump into action. No one can stop the A-Team, even Bin with his amazing rectal powers. Mr. T pitties the fool who thinks that he can mess with the A-Team and get away with it. The A-Team would not let Bin into the United States, so he knew that plan was foiled. Mr. T kicked Bin's cavernous ass off the plane, folded him in half and inserted Bin's head into his own cavernous ass. He then booted him into the dessert where he.....

decided to blow some shit up. This usually made him feel better about his tiny penis. He decided to go after the americans because rumor had it that they had mamoth penisis. Deep down inside he knew that this was the real source of his anger towards the US, their big penises. Just look at what the great things they have acomplished, surely they must have HUGE balls. So off he went...

YES, I EVENTUALLY GET TO A GOOD POINT HERE, OR AT LEAST A POINT The recent string of skydiving fatalities in Chicago and other parts of the world must remind us all that our wonderfull sport is potentially dangerous and not particularly forgiving of mistakes. That is why many of us love it so much. It is for this reason that we need to take the time to really apreciate all of our friends in the sport. You never know when the last time you will see each other is going to be. Okay, enough seriousness.

okay we all agree that Mike=Tool, BUT he has a right to be a tool. We have to be carefull to relize that he is a tool because he would not listen to the other side of the argument. If you look at the survey it sugest that P think the parachute is a good idea. I did at first myself, although after seeing both sides I now think they are not so good. I also think WITH TRAINING they could work. On Cesna loads our pilots wear parachutes and no one worries that they will use their parachte improperly BECAUSE THEY ARE TRAINED. So in closeing Mike=Tool. Building Escape Parachet = Bad idea that could be improved. And puppies are good. So if you disagree with me you hate puppies.

"skydiver BS ego"...just cause we are better than whuffo's does not mean that we have big egos. I actually read your article and find it to be very interesting. I was original for the idea of a building escape parachute but the MANY responses on this site have changed my mind. That and watching Tandem videos at our DZ. Even with someone attached to them people still freeze. Now what happens when they are not attached to someone, the building is on fire, and some of their friends are dying. Think they might freeze in the window? Even if they don't, think they are gonna PLF on landing? Whaever, this Mike dude is a dick and we should not waste our time on him. Sangiro I hope you do not feel too tramatized 'cause you da man.

It is funny that you should mention superman...consider this. Even the new skydivers are like superman to "normal" people. We non-skygods may not be very good skydivers but hey, we skydive. For a minute or so we can fly. Now on the dropzone we are like superman is when he is on Krypton no big deal, but when superman is standing next to "normal" people he seems pretty bad ass. Just consider that when you are asking this chick out. Yeah, that'll work.

When you say "first time intentional head-down" you mean skydiving right? ;) Okay, that was pretty bad but I am jumping tomorrow so I am giddy and everything seems funny.

Percision Aerodynamics Building Escape Parachute
flyinryan replied to flyinryan's topic in The Bonfire
First off: Thanks for the information, I think this is interesting. Especially after seeing the horible images of people jumping out of the WTC. Second: I hope Precision makes a lot of money off of this so when the can use that money to make really important things like the more HP canopies and such. Besides, think of all the lives that could be saved from not only terrorist attacks but other events such as high rise fires, earthquakes, and other unforseen events. Imagine if every hotel was required to have two of these in every room above the 20th floor.... -
Percision Aerodynamics Building Escape Parachute
flyinryan replied to flyinryan's topic in The Bonfire
Hey everyone, check out the Percision Aerodynamics web site. They have an advertisement for a building escape parachute. Did they just rig a BASE system to open via a free bag attached to something in the building that needs escaping? They say it requires no training. Is this somthing they threw together after September 11? This just seems like a weird product. Or is this just there way of advertising BASE rigs in a subtle way? -
What would u like to c in a skydiving documentry
flyinryan replied to skyhawk's topic in The Bonfire
Any skydiving documentry must include boobies... Oh yeah, and showing the diffrent disciplines would be cool 'cause most whuffos don't know that there is more to skydiving than just falling out of the sky and that there are many diffrent ways to skydive. That and boobies must be involved. -
Huzza for the FAA! Huzza for the drop zone! We get to go make sky jump now :)

I jump at Skydive Hutchinson. It is in Hutchinson (imagine that) Mn. Oh yahh, It is very cool, we have a King Air and two Cesnas. If anyone is every in Mn, be sure to visit, don't cha know.

My two cents It's funny that you should articulate this idea of not wanting to do anything other than skydiving and watching the rest of your life fade in importance. I started AFF last year but didn't finish it until this summer because school was the priority. Right now I kind of regret that. I am in my last year of school this year and keep telling myself that if I get that engineering degree maybe someday I can help design or test new canopies. BUT at the same time I have learned from my mistakes. This year I have vowed to always make time for jumping even if it is just two or four jumps a week (if the FAA allows me to that is). If that means getting B's instead of A's so what? Life is about living, right? The only A that matters right now is the A in front of the 39028 on my liscense card :) . But again that is just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I am a stupidly optimistic person so I think we should all try to will the airspace to open with the power of positive thinking. If we cannot maybe it is time to trade in the skydiving rig for a BASE rig. I hope that all of the great people who make a living in skydiving can get back in the air.
