  1. I did my AFF at a certain dropzone and talked to the DZO of another dropzone. They told me to bring my logbook and I'll be set to jump there in order to gain my A.
  2. Buy your beer after you finish AFF... Then after any goal or first time doing anything.... Buy stock in (Insert beer company here)
  3. When in freefall, nothing else seems to matter besides making sure you land safely. It puts your life in perspective and easily takes all stresses away. Hard to concentrate on anything other than landing safely when you're falling at 120+ MPH toward the ground. Also, after my first jump I was hooked. Skydiving is a rush for me, but its also very peaceful. Its a thing that I can do that makes me happy!
  4. Where is Neighbor's??? And what is it? I live in Atlanta and I have no clue! Damn me for being a newbie to the skydiving world!
  5. You mean that doesn't work??? Thats what got me through High School!! Its gotta do something.
  6. I play poker, euchre, hearts, spades, and the occasional game of war.
  7. So are you saying theres something wrong with masturbation??? Read the sig lines around dz.com Don't Knock masturbation... its sex with somebody you love
  8. 10/10... I pass, but I'm also in college to be a mechanical engineer so math is part of my everyday life.
  9. I always wanted to jump, I guess it was knowing that my body was completely free while in the air. I went to make my first tandem, got rained out, so decided to do AFF instead. As soon as I landed my first jump, I was ready to jump again and it has been in my mind since. Can't wait to do my next jump now.
  10. I could be Buck.... But personally I'd choose Bonnaroo Music Festival.... but I also live right outside Atlanta and like my home. Coachella sounds fun, but if you're going to consider that then you might want to consider the Sasquatch music festival in Washington too.
  11. What makes good music for skydiving videos? Taking all opinions. Anything that really sticks out?
  12. Hmm, I've never had that experience, but it seems like you had a sensory overload. Common for some people, but it fades with time. As for being drug though the water by a motor boat... I have no info for you there. Hopefully your next jump goes better! Welcome to the wonderful world of skydiving.
  13. Put up partitions, promise me that there will be no splash back.... The pictures don't bother me.... gives me something more interesting to look at than the wall or myself...
  14. ***Disclaimer*** I'm new to skydiving and probably shouldn't be giving information out, but I'm stubborn (Ask your instructor before you listen to me) When turning, its a pretty good idea to do toe taps before a turn to make sure that your feet are level. Then just do the normal shoulder moves in order to turn. But I'm also new to skydiving and again I say... ask your instructor
  15. I just recently passed AFF and I'm the same way. I'm not a morning person, but I find myself at the DZ around the same time most of the staff is showing up. Very addicting, just gotta make sure that you're ready for each jump.
  16. Hmm, well my AFF level 7 went really smoothly except for the fact that I was jumping with a new altimeter and new goggles. During freefall, I lost a contact lens because of the airflow into the goggles. I freaked out when all of a sudden I couldn't see and went slightly unstable. I quickly arched and checked my altitude, which appeared to be 4,000, so I pulled. Came in for my landing, was setting up to have a nice landing and my instructor starts telling me to turn. I listen to the instructor and turn, but its too late by that time. I look at my altimeter again and I'm 200 feet from the ground landing with the wind. Flare, Stand up landing.... then the canopy blew forward and threw me on my face. Only embarrased me.
  17. Finished AFF today! I'm onto solo jumps and working on A license. Thankfully my DZ (ASC) has a new program where they will do coached jumps in order to help out with A license stuff. Movin on up!
  18. Went to do my first tandem in mid February and it rained (blessing in disguise). When I went back in March to finally do the tandem, I decided just to go AFF. By the end of the week, I had finished jump # 6 and was ready to do 7. Everytime I go out to do #7, it either starts to get windy, rainy, or cloudy. Damn the Georgia weather. I want to jump and finish my AFF.
