    Ciao Klaus, Thanks for the reply and attached... I was pretty sure I got this recording right, had a good fix and started logging prior to boarding, sat in the copilot seat in the Porter... and still did'nt get the full data... I had set the sensor config with all the sentences avalaible, and still...... I wonder whether the problem does not come from GPS Dash2, the software I use on the Axim; would you know of other software?... I'll get back to you with more data. Yes the Para Centro Locarno is a marvellous place, the owner Urs refers to it as paradise! Blue skies with some nice white puff, JJ

    The problem your experienceing may lie in that the GPS 10 uses the NMEA 0183 ASCII interface specification but can also be configured to transmit info via serial interface using NMEA0183 compliant GARMIN proprietary sentences. Use the Garmin Sensor Configuration Software (SNRCFG.exe,available from the garmin web site)and select all of the available boxes in the sentence strings box. That might allow you to interface with the demo version since it uses GPS babel. If that doesn't work, send Klaus/Paralog an e-mail and he should be able to help you sort it out. Garmin's Mapsource should have no trouble downloading your data but it will not be displayed anything like it would in Paralog. Thanks Scott, I'll do my home work, Cheers, JJQuote

    Thanks Julien, I'll need to take time to decrypt the NMEA protocol... what I was hoping was seeing the values in graph format like Paralog does (I tried to read it with Paralog demo, but nothing came up) Cheers, JJ

    Hello GPS nerds, I am having trouble with interpreting the data, could anyone help me?... I am using a Garmin GPS 10, a Dell Axim 51v and GPS Dash2 software but was not able to exploit the data. I am attaching the NMEA file that I have recorded.. if anyone can make a sense of it, please let me know the procedure. I have also used Garmin Que software to log, but was not able to find the log in the PDA directory! GPS 10 is a nice piece of equipement, very accurate and programmable with the Garmin sensor configuration software, I have tried different parameter but this is a sector in which I am quite ignorant... Thanks for your help JJ
