    I had it checked out in a test chamber..... Its off at higher altis but from 3000 to zero its dead on.

    Thanks for the posts..... The way the alti is working its gives me a 400 foot buffer zone. The gap gets worse at higher altitudes but around 4 to 5 k its says I am 400 ft higher than I am. I think I am going to get it looked at by a field rep..... just gotta find one!

    I have a galaxy that is about 400 feet behind..... Should I contact altimaster to get repaired or let it fly? I guess the real question is am I expecting too much accuracy out of it and is that a "OK" discrepancy.

    I talked to him about it and I felt really bad about it. The canopy was inspected and nothing was found. I gave him a free pack job because of the mal.

    Somebody on the ground is going to get a sticky surprise.

    A few weeks ago I packed somebodies canopy and with that pack he had a mal. The mal was that after he had popped the toggles the left brake was not getting full movement and the canopy went into a spin. Was this a packing error or something else?

    I worked for Cathy at WFFC 06. From day one we are told it is our responsibility if there is a cutaway. We replaced rubberbands, and closing loops. We also spot out any parts of the rig that need repair and bring it to a rigger to fix. I am a very new packer and I hope I can work for her again. The liability is scary but its part of working for her. A guaranteed pack job for 6 bucks!

    Drunken golf-cart stunts.... I vaguely remember driving one into a bon-fire and leaving my friend to burn. Demo derby and 360's. I cant wait till next year.... hopefully I can jump instead of pack non-stop.

    I was chewing gum in AFF. Half way through the jump I started choking on it. I really wish I had a video of it. If your gonna chew dont open your mouth too much.

    If they have not been exposed to that by 18 maybe a DZ isnt the best place to go. I am 18 and the jokes are good entertainment for me. Skydiving has not become a social event for me yet. I am usually the youngest by 5 years and its hard to find anbody to relate to. I want to hang out at the DZ afterhours but I am viewed as a kid and not really welcomed. I still have fun though.

    I am definatley coming now. Im going to leave early in the morning and think I can make it there by 8 or so. Looking foward to a full day of jumping!

    I am going to be in Sumter SC for the next few days. After I leave there and before I drive home to Florida I want to spend a day or two at a DZ. I am willing to drive a few hours to any place. Where should I go????

    Thanks for all the help. The rigger who fixed thought I should be ok. I think I am going to go to the rigger who packed it and have her look. Is the best case she opens it, looks, and closes it back up? Or is a entire repack due?
