I could probably copy and quote many who have replied here and say yep, me too, but all in all I've gotta say my wife is a Saint for supporting me through the years of me going through student training. I finally finished! We've been married 13 years and have three girls, 11,9, & 4 yrs. We've endured many highs and lows.. health problems, career changes, moving, you know....LIFE.... and luckily my wife, family and friends all get that skydiving, for me anyways, is all about living life....because I've pounded it in to their heads of course! I think I'm gonna get shot if I make another life/skydiving analogy lesson at my house. Anyway the financial strain was stress enough not to mention the "danger factor" that my wife to this day can't quite get over. We have only three guidelines for my skydiving. 1. Skydiving will be financed by my sidework. No Family Money. 2. Family First, Then Skydiving. 3. Come Home Safe. Of course I get a little conservative criticizm....you know..."He's got no buisness doing what he's doing with a wife and three girls at home, what if something happened!?" Yea what if.... I'm sure we've all been stereotyped one time or another as adrenaline junkies or risk takers, when really for me, it couldn't be further from the truth. God forbid (and I ask Him every jump) something happens injury or otherwise, my family is well taken care of, well at least monetarily. Mentaly, they all know that I skydive to live life not to cheat death. If something were to happen it was meant to be. They know I'm not practicing reckless abandon. Skydiving has had a profound affect on my outlook of life. I cant really explain how it happened, much less to those who dont jump. The more I jump the more some things don't mean much like they used to. Other things mean way, way more. But we still try to explain it don't we, because of the passion that it stirs in our hearts when we jump. I actually sometimes feel guilty for the stimulation I get from a good skydive. I wish my wife knew what I felt. She just knows I love jumping and supports me despite her own reservations. How lucky am I...... and yep, one of the three girls wants to jump with her dad Right NOW! She's very bummed she's gotta wait another nine years. She may change her mind, it'll be her choice. Once again, great topic guys! ******Today is one day too late.********

Remind me to never come here seeking serious relationship advice. I havent laughed this hard in awhile! I read this entire post and I'm still laughing....Screaming Seagull!!!!.... My advice. 1. Definately Bang Her if there is any attraction whatsoever, crazy or not dont pass up good sex! 2. With the whole psychic thing it sounds like she is desperate, which makes chicks do crazy things....er well, thats their story anyway. She may very well be crazy, so yes the sex will be good! So Bang her in the ass to see if she keeps coming back for more! What have you got to lose? 3. Ok, now if she is crazy tell her you went to YOUR psychic and he/she said that you should get engaged but not to her, but her best friend or sister or whoever is hotter..... and then pursue the friend/sister. She will then hate you and wont obsesively hold on.....Or you might wake up with a horses head in your bed but that's the risk you gotta take when you are doin crazy chicks. 4. If she's not crazy by this time you've gotten good sex all around and did her sister/friend, she hates you and will figure out its her "destiny" to marry a nice guy instead of you. So no worries about gettin married. 5. There is a slim chance you guys were meant to be together so hey, what have you got to lose? Maybe you need crazy?? Dont you jump out of planes? Oh and by the way, I wouldn't tell her about this post either...crazy or not, you'll wake up with a horses head in your bed if she finds out......Did I mention all women are crazy? Yea, I tell em skydiving is safer than the airplane ride, or the proverbial "its more dangerous to drive to the dropzone" but they still look at me with that dumb dog look...... at that point I usually invite them to come along sometime and make their first jump.... have yet to get anyone to go....but I'm still workin on that. -- Dont let em piss ya off, they're just jealous you are doing something with your life that they could never dream of doing!!!! ******Today is one day too late.********

I've had the landing dreams too... about three that I recall. Always involves a total mal but I'm going in slooow and for some reason I'm flaring, falaring what? I've got not canopy out..... I've also bounced and gotten up and walked away....like no big deal.... I'm usually very tired after those dreams. Also I have had dreams that I'm gearing up and just can't quite seem to get ready in time for the plane and I'm running for the plane without my straps tightened or no chest strap or usually some b.s. that I cant get on the load...... man I always wondered if it was just me having these dreams... interesting posts guys! -Bill ******Today is one day too late.********

Hey everybody, I'm just off student status and buying some gear. I'm looking for a main canopy. As a student I jumped brand-spankin-new Sabre2's... now I'm spoiled until I found out how much they cost!!! Even used!! Well I'm in the market for a used one and dont know all the pros and cons to zp vs F-111 canopies... any guidance people? I dont want to break the bank right off the bat, I still need to afford to jump after I get the gear.... I'm all ears! Thanks! Bill
