    LOL Yeah, I went today and it took 45 minutes to get the meal. The store was understaffed, and they kept running out of chicken. The drive through received priority and those of us inside waited.... I felt bad for the employees - the gal taking orders said she knew nothing about this until today when she arrived at work. They were so overwhelmed they actually stopped taking orders for 20 minutes so they could catch up on existing orders. For the most part everyone was patient... and Oprah's name was tossed around quite a bit. edited to add: Doesn't even compare to El Pollo Loco g "Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?"     Completely agree. Allison left like a champion though. She rocked Cry Baby big time last night. I wish she'd done that performance Tuesday night. 17 years old...I think she's gonna be just fine.     Crazy today when the winds shifted... I walked outside and could not breathe, my eyes started watering , it was about 10 degrees hotter - I looked up and the sky was brown...     Tehachapi is a cool place. Cal City is not. Also, to the original poster... the winters/summers are extreme in that area. Not like some other states, but for California. Just noticed he mentioned a bike (probably a road bike i/o dirt), but Cal City is HUGE for the bikers. Oh and whatever you do please be certain to tell your brother to stay away from hwy 138 (as far as placed to live). g "Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?"     Yes, and housing is pretty reasonable. but, if you're going to go 60 miles out, you also have Bakersfiled, and Ridgecrest. Personally if I went that far, I'd find a place off the 178 - gorgeous hills between Ridgcrest/Bakersfield & Lake Isabella. g "Let's do something romantic this Saturday... how bout we bust out the restraints?"     Danny & Kris are just too BLAH for me... none of their performances has ever knocked me off my feet - par vocales, par performances, but are the most likeable with the average population so they will get a majority vote. Adam, yeah he is talented. but... I'm rooting for Allison all the way! For a 17 year old that girl has a very mature and fantastic voice.     grrrrr The company that I work for is constantly forcing "Stewardship" down our throats. We have also had difficulty with local environmental groups in regards to expansion of one of our facilities. So... as part of a personal goal (we have to have x amount of personal / professional goals per year). I got involved with a group that monitors water quality in the area. Goal: have a company event to show our support to the community. I am grossly disappointed in Sr. Management / employees. Out of the local staff (approx. 225 people between all sister co.), only 3 people are participating.
