I jump a FF2 Camera helmet (I think its a FF2?!?!) with time-out on the outside (FreeFly) and have no problems with hearing it........ cant comment on the FF1 though ! - I have heard no complaints about the 2K composities - Nice head-gear! BSBD

1) What is the smallest size PC that you would be advised to have - does it depend on canopy type etc? 2) Would a badly made PC that was rigged slightly off center thus causing the PC to orbit - induce off heading openings? Thanks for any help BSBD

IMHO - RSL's - they are intended to save people who can only pull one handle................. Think about how quick you initiate reserve drills - you dont need a RSL! - unless you panic SO much you think you may cock it up!...... have confidence in your capability to save yourself......... BSBD

"have fun be safe and don't be afraid to come out high and ride the front risers for a couple seconds...." No I won't ..............as I said to someone when I first started hooking it!!!!!!!!!! My reason for this thread is to find the most efficient way to gain the most speed....... and not the basics!! Example -should you go from half breaks into a snap riser turn or go from full drive? or should I use two front risers first to gain speed then drop one into a carving hook? BSBD

but I wonder how many RSL slaggers would continue jumping without their Cypres? I would not have an RSL as I believe them to be dangerous - and would I continue jumping without my CYPRESS?? - phuq yeah - I have been known to intentionally turn it off!...... OK you listened to a guy who has positives to say about RSL - seems you shut your ears off to the negative side and ONLY listened to the positive - coz you will see on the fatalities site - RSL does cause problems - what about the problems that dont result in a death - where did you read about them? Phuq it anyway as you say "my life my kit" etc - damn right!.... just like to disagree withcha Will! One reason I dont want an RSL! - coz when I chop - I wanna be smoking it down.......... coz if the reserve dont work at 2000ft - it aint gonna be working at 500ft................. ;op BSBD

Nah no chimpanzees this weekend ! Yeah it pulled the pin and the first stow but that was it........ man the look on his face when he saw why it mal'd - scarey shit! Yeah I supose you could do that whilst practising throw outs - but it was an experienced jumpers rig................ unless he was teaching his pet monkey to pitch! BSBD

Does anyone know of any articles on competative Freefly? - or has anyone competed and can give tips on what was needed and what you were scored on - moves you can do - were there set moves etc Any help would be appreciated......... BSBD

One mal this weekend at my DZ - a total..... the guy was safe got under his reserve by 2K - went found the freebag and canopy which was still in the bag - The guy had borrowed the kit off his mate - on inspection it became apparent that the pilot chute had a bungy around it (as in folded to go in the spandex and then a large tight bungy put around the middle - thus the pilot chute never inflated!............ my question is - why the phuq would anyone want to do this???........ one explaination is "to save the spandex during long periods - pull the pilot chute and tie with a bungy" - but thats sounds a bit tight! - anyone else heard of why you would want to do this?!?!?! BSBD

Does anyone know where I can find some GOOD articles on the art of swooping - I am looking for articles on the mechanics and the areodynamics of swooping. The reason for this is that I am able to get some nice accurate hard 180 front riser hooks but more often than not I transfer to much speed into lift - a bit annoying! - If anyone has some constructive comments - please make em! - but I am looking for some good indepth articles to help build my knowledge on the subject.......... One thing I believe students/newly qualifieds should do is to kite your canopy in winds to learn how it reacts to wind and the input you give from your risers. Kinda like a paragliding reverse launch twist yours risers over once and have the canopy fly over your head - it is one of the most beneficial and interesting things you can do on a windy day........... 1. First 360 Hook. I surfed my PD 190 for 60 Ft or more. Don't really know but it was a long way. I'm still amazed I lived Dont worry mate - carry on jumping with your Vast experience of 100 jumps and continue with 360 hooks and tube jumps you wont be amazed for very long!!....... ;op BSBD
