  1. 9) Any other comments………………….. lifes to short to fu@# it up by doing stupid shit...... "You can't do anything about the length of your life, but you can do something about its width and depth."
  2. Don't worry - the CCI wont let me play with anyone at the moment!!!....................... BSBD
  3. I can now see why I did not get the response I expected on the "lack of freedom" thread previously. I would have believed that more people in the sport would like to push the rules somewhat - due to the nature of the sport - but it seems that most are conservative and safe in their approach - except where people think its safe to lob out on 2+ ways FF without experience - mmmmmm...... I would say thats more dangerous than taking it WayLow........... just my opinion........... Thanks for the responses people - its been entertaining. BSBD
  4. or when I thought I could cut the "unleaded gas only" restrictor in my truck's gas filler out with an acetylene torch (while it was still attached to the vehicle). I caught myself at the last possible second, put the torch down, Man that made me giggle loudly.............. jesus ....... that could have been a bit interesting!! BSBD
  5. coz you are itching michelle and dont have the correct cream my responses are :- 1) What is the lowest you have intentionally exited an aircraft (i.e. no emergency, fallout etc)? 1,100 or 1,200 ft cloud base jump 2) What is the lowest you have gone WayLow intentionally (i.e. no loss of altitude awareness) ? 900ft 3) What is the most stupid/dangerous thing you have done in freefall? Closed my eyes and tried to guess when pull time was - opened them at 5,000ft - mis-judged slightly (this was when I was just off CAT-8 - the most stupid thing to do.... what a twat!) 4) What is the closest you have come to killing yourself? Have never come close enough to warrant a memory 5) What gives you the biggest kick? GoingWayLow, Exiting low, hooking it, canopy rush, close prox deployments, Downplanes and kick arse FFly jumps with my partna 6) How many times have you been grounded? Approx 4 or 5 times in the past year 7) How long is the longest grounding 2 Weeks 8) What do you get grounded for? Going Low 9) Any other comments………………….. it aint big and certainly not clever.................. BSBD
  6. 5) What gives you the biggest kick? not sure I get your question... do you mean "what BAD things do you enjoy most"? Yeah you could say the BAD things - the things you should not really do but get a blast from.............. BSBD
  7. As I found myself grounded for a couple of weeks with restrictions placed on me when I finally return to the air I thought I would start a Dark Side questionnaire - before the questions I would like to first say to newbies - the questions do not encourage any kind of bravado or a “I did this more so than you” type of response - in fact I am wondering if I should post this at all - but hey ho if you are gonna do this and you frappe well phuqk you - you should not have attempted them - they are stupid and should never be attempted - people die from doing these - and dying does not look cool. Most of us have done these things so just wanted to know others experiences/tales. Seeing that I seem to be the only person I know who gets grounded/red carded/warned on a very regular basis – I wanna know “surely I am not the only one to bend a few rules sometimes” 1) What is the lowest you have intentionally exited an aircraft (i.e. no emergency, fallout etc)? 2) What is the lowest you have gone WayLow intentionally (i.e. no loss of altitude awareness) ? 3) What is the most stupid/dangerous thing you have done in freefall? 4) What is the closest you have come to killing yourself? 5) What gives you the biggest kick? 6) How many times have you been grounded? 7) How long is the longest grounding 8) What do you get grounded for? 9) Any other comments………………….. ...... yeah I know flame me if you want – don’t really give a toss- but I am grounded and bored and reflecting on the reasons of me being grounded - not the best questions to advertise on the net about the sport but hey - sometimes you have to play hard, fast and WayLow...... BSBD
  8. And 3: in the saddle at 2.2 !!!! thats high! I wish ........ I aint allowed under 3K - thats wayhigh........ you can always change countries and fake a new logbook/identity (not that I would know anything like that.... no way.... nope) mmmmmm............. did we used to be a naughty boy????? BSBD Go Hard, Fast & WayLow
  9. Yep 3000ft under canopy for god knows how bloody long - shit man - rough call....feel kinda like a student again.......the eyes will be watching me......... feel as if I am being restricted some what - If i am under canopy at "normal height" ie 2,200 - I get grounded again - now thats phuqking Harsh............. but hopefully that won't be for too long and I can start sneaking a few sub1000's here and there........ ;op BSBD Go Hard, Fast & WayLow
  10. Yeah I remember you Ben............. if I was a little sarcy towards you it is because I HATE being jumpmaster and get stressed out over it.......... nothing personal....... Rootthingy - yeah have to admit rocking weekend - and it did not end Sunday evening - we all ended up going out last night and I managed to crawl back to my home town at 7am this morning - how shit do i feel!!.......... what a weekend......... and next weekend is going to be even more rocking due too Gibbo's last weekend before trying to kill himself on a mountain.............. BSBD Go Hard, Fast & WayLow
  11. Skreamer - Cheers Dude! B - Yeah thats me BSBD Go Hard, Fast and WayLow
  12. Ahh, you were the one that made the "oooh so close, just made it" swoop! Am I right? If you mean I hooked it low and phuqked it up and ploughed into the ground - yeah................. Whatcha get grounded for? Smoking it low on every jump and ignoring the warnings given over the past few months. When I get off my grounding if I open below 3k I get grounded again for months - I have to wait for the CCI to give me permission to open at normal height after I prove I can behave myself!.............. I jumped with the Brothers on the lift he had to jump the nasty F1-11 150 thing.............. were you on that lift?........ I was jumpmaster on it........ Just trying to put name to face.......... BSBD
  13. Have you jumped with me ever? - with me being a FFlier from Hinton............ a gutted FFlier at that after getting grounded this weekend.......... Were you there on Saturday?...... BSBD
  14. He's around - did some FF jumps with him on Fri/Sat. Moose, you'd better watch out, he is DA MAN at sit now! If he is so much "Da Man" at sit - Is that why he failed his FF1 jump!!!!............. So who are you? - you jump at Hinton? - you FF ?
  15. >>when some people go hand held he jumps doing double gainers stowed....>> Have you checked out Dwain Weston - double gainer from under 200ft.................. now thats perfecting an intrinsically difficult sport......... BSBD "A man is a success if he gets up in the morning and gets to bed at night, and in between he does what he wants to do." Bob Dylan
  16. Bill von - my first comment was to question the "most skydiving deaths are caused by human error" - I beleive most are caused by the equipment we jump. eg - RSL, AAD, Reserve - alot of deaths are caused by entanglements of the two parachute systems we jump in one container - either caused by the deployment by RSL's or AAD's - admitadly these are then compounded by human error but do you see my point - these bits of equipment do kill people. I have never heard of a BASE jumper bouncing by a problem caused by a piece of equipment - only by equipment used incorrectly due to human error. The skydiving rig has equipment which when used for its actual purpose can cause more problems than it is solving. I am not the most clear person in text - I hope you understand my point. BSBD

    100% depression

If you are not jumping for 6 months - Go do some silly stuff............ go hill launch your canopy ..................Hill Swooping - its a laugh!...... of course If you have bent yourself up badly and cant get outta the house - then dont! BSBD
  18. Remi - can you drop me an e please............... the board keeps crashing when i try and send a private message....... cheers............. freefall@dzsports.net
  19. she doesn't want me to BASE!! well dont tell her then!.............
  20. "the majority of deaths caused by skydiving is human error....." Are you suggesting the deaths in BASE jumping are not human error then? I beleive the only reason for deaths in BASE is human error - Equipment failure is more likely to happen in a Skydiving environment beacuse of the complacency of skydivers. But then again this is human error i suppose......... "In reality, we all know that skydiving is very very safe..." Skydiving is more dangerous than what people think - BASE jumping is safer than what people think. BSBD PS) How do you BASE jump for a living???
  21. I packed for a camera man who had a heatwave and I rolled the nose pushed into the pack job - pulled slider over the nose and rolled the tail as normal - this gave him the soft openings he so wished and desired!............... BSBD
  22. Well, it's skydiving from fixed objects. Same basic idea. Same basic gear Is this not the basic mis-conception that gets experienced skydivers killed when attempting to BASE???? Was it not in 1996 when a swedish skydiver (approx 3000 jumps) had the attitude "its like a skydive" when she frapped in Norway? BSBD
  23. There are obviously more restrictions in the UK than the USA then.............. and most of you have taken me the wrong way - which i thought would happen - if you read what i put - I think the rules should stay and are a good thing I am not bitching about them - I was just asking if anyone felt restricted in anyway - which most obviously dont. The only way it seems to become totally free and have complete control is to BASE as BillVon says - why dont ya BASE............ it seems a shame to have to go to another sport to gain the freedom that we all start skydiving for - or perhaps many feel freedom and those who feel restricted do go off and BASE to find the freedom & control suited to them - its all relative I suppose.......... As for BASE - well I will leave that to a BLiNC of an eye............... it aint skydiving after all and this is a skydive board............. I do feel freedom in flight - to freefly with my friends is one of the greatest things in my life .............. but after break off ...........I am back to being overlooked by big brother................ BSBD "Play hard and fast"
  24. For a few 1) Min opening height 2) Min exit height 3) restrictions on Birdman suits 4) Restrictions on canopy - I would not jump a 69 coz I know I cant fly one but I dont have the freedom to choose 5) Some DZ's making AAD's mandatory 6) Cloud cover jumping 7) Jumping with objects 8) Having to have a rig with a reserve 9) Close prox deployments Through discussion I feel there are more - these are just off the top of my head. Some will need more information to explain myself better - but basically - You should know your limitations and good judgement should be made - but we sometimes do not have that freedom of choice.... is this not a hold ya hand kinda restriction? Dont get me wrong the rules should stay - I am just talking about complete freedom and choice.................. maybe I am just putting it in the wrong way.............. BSBD "Play hard n fast"
  25. are you the flat flying freefly wannabe????? BSBD
