  1. I have a collapsable slider with a pull toggle in the middle that gathers the slider to this point (i am sure you understand that!?!?) I have a method for packing for a quick opening which by all accounts is generally confortable without too much deviation from heading but sometimes proves to be a little rocky during pressurisation - basically it opens very quickly but seems to be in a mushy state before full pressurisation for too long - rocking backward and forward. My question is if I were to perhaps leave the slider partially collapsed - (thats partially! I am fully aware of the dangers of an opening with a collapsed slider) would this added air flow help with the more smooth pressurisation of the canopy. Would there be other factors to take into account as the slider is not now a uniform shape - as it is slightly bunched toward the middle - would this hamper the opening and perhaps increase the possiblity of a mal - I beleive this may be the case but wish to draw on others experiences & knowledge BSBD

  3. After swallowing a can of coke and then a kit-kat - you are under contract then to swallow something else............ BSBD
  4. Why see BASE as insane - people skydive with the attitude - "I have a reserve" - bascially saying if the main dont work - out pops the reserve and all will be cool - why is that so different to seeing your BASE canopy as the reserve - why would that mal anymore than your reserve - thus making it insane??? - I dont get it??? but hey thats just me wondering.............. BSBD
  5. Yeah my mate had a bungy PC - he was a bit concerned but hey he lobbed out anyways................ Nice work soldier.............. he soon changed his PC though ....... I think it scared him abit............... BSBD

Njoy the rest of your week...............BSBD PS) cant be arsed with the quote bollox Laterz flat skybitch
  7. In response to: Poster: Emma Subject: Re: being a freak flyer at a RW dz Does the word 'TROLL' mean anything to you? Yep - £5 a go Kings Cross Check your teeth, seems to me most of you have been chewing on it for the duration of this thread. You know I am new to this wierd internet world shit - gimme a chance - its a strange place to be - all words no faces! 9. Although I have to admit - you said try your sit out - meaning you are not competent at it - never try FFly around other people - THAT IS DANGEROUS! - maybe they had a pop at you coz you aint that experienced to FreeFly around a flat dive - be safe - know your limitations and listen and learn from everyone - Flat bitch, freak, Crewer, whatever - we can all learn from each other - one world one tribe! BSBD
  10. Corking into RW fliers from sit - mmmmmmm..... interesting concept............ i did not know FFliers cork no matter what dicipline they are doing - wow man you musta slowed down to 60mph................ did you have a bird man suit on aswell??????? hahah BSBD
  11. Nice work hammers........... I will get Ratboy to order in a bulk order just for you and Falmer Palmer .......... what a weekend this'll be!!.............. BSBD
  12. I know someone with a similar experience doing a jump and dump from 1,200 ft - due to the panic of getting the PC out coz of low altitude the PC wrapped around his neck - he initiated reserve drills and all was cool. The air near the aircraft is not clean so gnarly winds can have wierd effects on your PC - which is why when i did a hop and pop from 1,100ft I did the sensible thing and took a small delay...... ;op BSBD
  13. So it is a FAA requirement that reserves open
  14. I have a question - I want to know from peoples experiences, knowledge, readings, findings, tests et cetera et cetera the time / height you will get under a reserve at a sub terminal deployment and a terminal deployment - yes I know various factors will have to be taken into account - but please lets just speak generally before you flame me. Just humour me for a moment..... Discuss- 1) Deployment from terminal freefall 2) immediate deployment from a cutaway or low speed aircraft exit (sub terminal) Just me being curious having never had a reserve ride in 350 jumps............ Nice ! BSBD

  16. Check out the WAG 2001 - you will see that the way forward is to mix the RW and FF - this is the future !! My DZ - well Flat Bitches and FFliers we all mix together - one world one tribe - its also nice to mix the dives up - having my mates get leaded up with me in a very baggy suit and have flat fliers and FFliers docking together - Sweet! People get what they want outta their discipline - but come on there should not be a segregation - we are all in it for the love of Flying - no matter how this is achieved. Learn from each other and rip it up together - this makes the sport great - and anyway there are more female RW fliers then FFliers so theres where all the punani is at!!! BSBD
  17. 1) Know your limitations - be honest with yourself - just coz you get invited on a big way dont think of the visuals think about putting other people in danger 2) Think about what others are saying - "I will follow your 3 way sit out in a stand" - why??? - how do you know what fall rate you will need - it may be slow or fast that is not determined until during the jump - (unless previously agreed) this should have been a warning - that guy has no idea of fall rates and flying relative. 3) Be very warey of other people and their egos - I have jumped with some people with "hundreds of FF jumps" - but they have still corked - phuqking telling lies and almost killing people! - that aint on 4) NEVER try new things with other people unless you are coaching - going head down on a 4 way when you have done it once - phuq me - do you know if you back slide?????? - under people! 5) Why would you want to loose everyone in a dive??? a four way and the head downer goes too fast - why did he not adjust and slow it down????? - again lack of skill/safety/knowledge...... 3 things that can kill people. 6) FreeFly is the most fun you can have in FreeFall - but it also can be the most dangerous - Pick your partnaz carefully and know your limits - we want to have fun for a long time to come............. 7) Loadsa other stuff I can be phuqked to write!!!!!!!!!! Just my £0.02 worth........... (FreeF) All Success...................... BSBD
  18. before anything I would reach around and try and pull the pin by yanking the bridle - this is one of the things I practice on jump run to get my muscle memory used to reaching and pulling manually - other than that - I will wait to see what my natural reaction is - I dont know until it happens - trust your senses........... BSBD
  19. Hinton UK So FreeFalling Chimp/terminal marmosat/SkydiveMonkey- who are ya? dont recognise the name - who do you jump with? BSBD
  20. You can fill the plane with FFliers......... lucky sod! ...... I am surrounded by flat bitches........ the most we get is a 8 or 9 way goin on......... anyway......... Congrats mate - in a world where we are all slaves to gravity you have now become a freedom fighter- ........ and i agree FreeFly and CReW is definatly where all the fun is................... especially after a FFly dive then going into some Xtreme CReW with the boyz................ Nice! BSBD
  21. Someone said you posted about this - yeah i use it - See my recent post - i just wanted to know opinions on the use of two closure loops - i would not go back to the curved pin - I feel this set up is alot safer. If you have any Q's let me know!! BSBD
  22. I am posting this to gain others opinions (especially riggers) to the new closure method I have and many others are starting to get. Instead of the curved pin through one closure loop I have two long teflon cables going through two closure loops. This I believe is a lot safer than the curve pin in the FreeFly environment. Can anyone see/forecast/seen/heard of any problems that could / would occur with two closure loops through the one grommet. Thanks for all input............ BSBD

    USA LICENSING

Just curious - how does the USA licensing work - coz i see people mentioning their A licence etc and believe it to be very different to the UK. Ours (and someone correct me if i am wrong) is A - Catagory 8 Skydiver (AFF plus 10 consols or RAPS clearance) B - CAT8 50 jumps and one Grade one normally IC1 (individual canopy grade 1) C - 200 jumps IC1 and FS1( (CAT10) Formation Skydiving grade 1) D - 1000 jumps and one other grade 1. Grade 1 certificates can be awarded by approved instructors for CReW, Surf, FreeFly, Freestyle. Is there such gradings in the USA? Just me being curious.................... BSBD
