Man, I havent been on dz.com in a couple weeks. Been flyin my ass off, so I just heard about this this morning. I'm surprised I havent seen the vid, but dont know that I care to. I met Lee for the first time a weekend or two before memorial day- I was out at DeLand to do my recurrency jump. He introduced himself and we talked for a few minutes until I had to leave. He was a really cool guy. I was supposed to do the jump with him the next day, but plans changed and I didn't get back out there. I stopped in at DeLand on memorial day weekend to check out a rig, and saw Lee, but didn't get a chance to talk to him. I wish I had gotten to jump with him that day. Well, it was very nice meeting you Lee...blue skies forever bro. -Marshall "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

Well, I almost bought a rig this weekend...twice...but hey, almost doesn't count, right? "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

0:0:0 ....and I'm back in FL now- how freakin pathetic is that? I have been doing some studying...but thats no excuse! "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

...until I begin my trek back to FL. I'll be leaving next Sunday night (the 12th) after the "relative work" involved with Mother's Day. Probably be arriving in Daytona on Monday evening to stay with some friends till Friday. DEFINITELY plan to be jumping at DeLand on Tuesday and Wednesday and maybe Thursday. Friday I go to Vero Beach (where I'll be livin'). I'll wear my dz.com T-shirt around, so if any of you are at DeLand on those days you can find me. Its been a few months since I've jumped, so I'm looking forward to getting back in the game, checking out new DZ's, and hopefully meeting some more dz.commers! I think we should not answer that question anymore and let people find out for themselves.

Except us pilots! "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

Come on y'all, at least wait till Clay gets on here to defend himself... "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

Maybe I'll run into you at DeLand. I move back to FL in less than two weeks- I'll be spending a couple of days in Daytona and jumping at DeLand hopefully. Best of luck on your AFF!!!!

hehehe....I've taken a sociology class or two. I might have some of the papers I wrote laying around too. Ya know, for a couple of jump tix........ ...just kidding. I worked too damn hard on those to let someone else have them! "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

Thats why I cut away from my last girlfriend. (Well, that and I moved to FL, lol). She wanted nothing to do with flying whatsoever, not to mention skydiving. Now I've solved that problem by never dating anyone who has no interest in anything I do.....oh wait..........thats why I havent had a girlfriend since! "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

Go for it Lisa!!!

I would hardly consider that an "anti-Catholic" joke. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

Michele, Glad to hear the tumor isnt cancerous. I think you've got a more positive attitude than I would in your situation- keep it up...I'm sure you'll get through it OK. Sending good vibes over to the other coast...

Space Tourist Is Space Tourism a Good Idea?? Yes No Who gives a shit? So what do you all think? Good idea or bad? At first I thought it was a terrible idea, but really, who does it hurt? If some millionaire wants to throw down a few big ones to go into space at his own risk, more power to them. I know NASA frowns on it, and I think thats the way it should be- astronauts are up there for a reason- and its not to be tourguides. But, like I said, if someone reallly wants to spend that much dough, let 'em. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

What happened to new cockpit doors? I'm not one for putting firearms in the cockpit, but the scenario you just described would be a perfect reason to. And that still DOES NOT INCREASE SECURITY. If the hijacker got on the damn plane in the first place, that is where the security problem is. The security of allll the pax is still compromised, and now the airplane is in the hands of someone completely out of the loop. Stupid stupid stupid idea if you ask me. Note to self: Don't get sick and go the clinic Freebird works at. "If I could be like that, I would give anything, just to live one day, in those shoes..."

I've got a friend that goes (went? he may be done) there to escape the dysfunction of Riddle's flight department. He likes it. Flying out of Daytona is fun....busy 'round the clock...
