  1. Well, for a minute I thought you were asking for legal advice...that I can do. I'm too green to give advice about skydiving!! BTW, what is potatoe chipping?...not sure if I experienced that one yet.
  2. We have something similar...T1 & 2...then CATC on up...but we do have something like a level 8. CATH!
  3. John: We must have missed each other on Saturday. Who were your JMs? I had Tina in the morning and Avy in the afternoon.
  4. Wingnut: What's involved in level 8? Whatever it is, I KNOW I'll have hella fun!! Hehe.
  5. Where did you jump at? I did 2 jumps on 9/22 at Davis, (I'm CATD now, woohoo) and on my 2nd one, I was spinning with my JM, he said after i corrected my legs, which I did, I should have been steady. Don't know what happened up there...(things just happen) but still had hella fun!!! pulled at 5k or most likely at 4.5k. I was told having it videod will help you to see problems too. Also, problems are good, in my opinion... they help you to learn what not to do!!!
  6. I agree with Paula. I'm interested in Freestyle once I get my A license. Dancing & freestyle seem to go hand in hand...not that I'm an expert by no means...just reading up on it
  7. Thanks Clay & Paula. It was unintentional to be sure and I'm glad it happened...I certainly learned from that experience!!
  8. On Saturday, I was with my JM on my CATC at SkyDance, and I screwed up on my count at exit...so we just left the plane. I found myself upside down...sitting atually Was WAY cool!! Once I arched...upoon command from my JM...got right into position and everything was GOOD!! It was totally sweet!!
  9. FlyinRyan: I grew up in MN, dontcha ya know!! But very much settled in my ways in California. However, when I come out to visit relatives...I'll look you up!! ChopChop: apparenetly there's a Boogie in your DZ next weekend dude! I'm just a beginner...probably wont be able to jump from Byron...but I'm planning to attend the Boogie! Thank God for the ability to "take to the skys" again Terri
  10. Hi Karen! Nice to meet you too! So far as I know, it's good to for this weekend. I'll be up there around 9ish. I'm actually meeting John up there too on Saturday. I usually go up with my regular buddy Austin, but I'll be meeting him on Sunday. See ya Saturday!
  11. Sis: I agree with FallenAngel. I just started skydiving myself at 41. Just never thought of the sport until now, and it truly is addicting!! However, and don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to preach, but I say to you as I impress upon my daughter who is now 20, don't wait too long to go back to school. I waited too long myself to go to lawschool...missed out on a lot of fun times in my late 20's & early 30's, but now I'm catching up, at least I'd like to think so!!. Anway, do what's best for you and what you feel. But don't get too caught up in the whole thing and forget about school too. Why not do both part time!!? Best of luck to you Sis! Terri
  12. John: A few of us are talking about going up on Sunday. Looks like from what I've been reading, we'll be good to go this weekend. Can you make Sunday? I just might go Saturday & Sunday myself...this stuff's addicting!! Send me an email at Brewr4Law@aol.com. Terri
  13. Hey Eric...that would be cool! The more the merrier for commuting...let's try to hook up for this weekend! Terri
  14. Hey JMC and Karen! I'm SkyDance too! Was up there last Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Going again this weekend, hopefully it's a go this time! I'm only on CATC/D, & hope to progress quickly through the program. The people there at Skydance are great! Hope to see you guys this Saturday! I'm 5'2", blond. Terri
  15. lummy: People at SkyDance are great! I jumped with Dino and Tina. And yes, traffic coming back on 80 sucks! I usually go Saturdays but I can do Sundays too. That would be great to have someone to ride up with! Let's hook up! My aol email is Brewr4Law@aol.com.
  16. JMC: I just started my AFF not too long ago at Skydance in Davis. It's a cool place and I'm looking forward to getting more jumps in soon to complete my AFF too. Terri
  17. I sent an email to the FAA at the security@faa.gov address and it came back address unknown. Then I sent another to a different address...went through. Still haven't heard a word. I don't think it will do any harm to voice your concerns...but I agree, keep it pleasant, you don't want to piss them off at this point!
  18. I agree with FreeFlir that a good way to prevent the ban is to contact Congress, they are very concerned about how all airport shut downs have affected economy. I'm sure everyone is going through withdrawls...no flying, no fun!!
  19. I think we should all contact our local congress and express our concerns as well. At my DZ, we had some flights go up I think on Friday 8/14/01 and then by Saturday, FAA shut us down. If we voice our concerns to congress that this is not only a restriction on our freedom to pursue our choice of sporting activity, but a potential financial disaster for DZ owners, jump masters, and other employees. Hopefully they will allow us back in the air SOON! Terri
