its very easy to believe the world revolves around me mike due to the fact that the people in white coats haven't found me yet, the little purple ones keep apearing out of no where though. go figure.
-
i think you pretty much hit the nail on the head there old chap. what what.LOL.
-
thank you mate thats a stunning picture. almost makes me realise how small and insignificant i am, then reality hits and i remember life does in fact revolve around me.

didn't have a problem language wise as pretty much all the instructors and DZ staff speak really good english and in the bars BEER is a pretty universal word. love to go this summer but the credit card may not stretch to it as i just got back from spending to much in florida. two weeks should be enough unless the spainish summer becomes english winter in a freak accident, having said this it's always good to be flexible time wise so plan on a two weeker and stay on extra if you need to. if you can't do it this way and you can get three weeks take um. i had no problems geting a bpa liecence, just talk to your CCI before you go and see what he wants you to have done over there to qualify. personly i did one tandem and six AFF levels( meant to have been 7 but i skipped one) and 10 consolidation jumps including 5 ripcord jumps and 5 throw away jumps after a conversion brief and 1 hop and pop done at anytime during the 10 consol's. blue one's jeff.

i sais 364 days because langer shuts on christmas day. real bummer huh. do spain the weathers excellent. was in empuria june 2000 for my aff and really enjoyed it. devon is very small and with only one plane u can't bang out 10 jumps in a day, however it is very friendly and the atmosphere down there is excellent, nethers is much larger and u can bang out 10 in a day (this hypathetical as we know british weather only allows one lift per day max) but it is a little more impersonal as there are so many jumpers there, everyone dosn't know everyone and therefore no one knows if your a visitor(to maybe aproach and say hi to) or a semi regular (who already knows people there). then again nethers does have an excellent bar!! i prefer devon for the people and nethers for the aircraft and site, but then i haven't spent enough time there to get to know many people yet so that may well change as the ones i have met are great people.

Probably about 1 1/2 hour but it's a bit of a crappy route, nearly all country roads. 10 miles from langer, Hmmmmmmmm 364 day skydiving
-
just live close. went to secondary school and sixth form in bristol to so most of my non skydiving mates are there, not to mention a few of the skydiving kind. if you do go to bristol make sure you join there skydiving club, although they mostly jump nethers i think, mind u i plan to be nethers way a lot more this year. What ya gonna study any way.

i don't know about the difference between booties and no booties in the tunnel as i've only used my suit which has booties when in the tunnel, however carrie is right on about the tunnel rats, they are very helpful and absoluty brilliant at flying in the tunnel.
-
hi there i'm abrit too. curruntly jumping at devon and somerset so if you do go to bristol let me know as i just finished my a levels last year. and i agree being stuck in classes sucks.

i live in weston super mare and jump at dunkerswell or ocassionally nethers. u?

Sky u is excellent, i did the search last month and learnt a huge amount about how to fly my body and how to fly it relative to other people in the sky. As for the wind tunnel i did a 10min session with a skyu coach and not only was it great fun but i learnt a lot there and really noticed the difference the next day in the air

back in early 98' i first watched point break, thought it was an awesome film and the surfing and skydiving sequences looked absolutly amazing( i was a whuffo then and did'nt know how unrealistic the scene was). i've also always been interested in the air and aircraft and when i saw an advert to do charity jumps i coulded resist. went did my ground school and my first S/L jump at 16. tryed to stay current for the next year and a half until i started working then did AFF and started banging out as often as humanly possible. the sport has changed my life beyond recognision and i could'nt imagine living without it anymore. Blue skies. jeff

i live in the UK and gear checks are actually complusory here. if you aren't checked and signed for, u dont get on the plane. personally i actually like this idea since although i like to think i miss nothing i know full well that i only have to miss one thing once for real s@!t to happen.
