  1. Nice vid!! Say hello to Karyn and Dano (from the North Shore) Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  2. YEah... Good question. DID Skydive Arizona collect or dig Skyride file for bankruptcy? Nice jury award, but confused as to actual payment? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  3. Yes. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  4. Ditto to SM. Unless you've done both (Mil - Civ)... Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  5. K., Talk to Pete (TI) next door at Pacific. He was a TI at Fiji. He can give you everything you need. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  6. Blind – I talked to Angela at Icarus US about very same subject. Icarus US didn’t have the info nor did the manufacture in Spain. I noticed my Neos 109 packs Significantly larger than my XF2 119. I put the Neos 109 closer to the pack volume of XF2 129 (slightly less). I recognize the center xbracing adds volume and the “newness” factor, but DAMN, it packs big. Guess it’s that bed sheet sized slider (I installed a Para-Concepts removable slider ) How are you liking your Neos? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  7. Just curious and hope this isn’t a rehash… Has the Skyvan been locked in and are we still scheduled to have three aircraft? Don’t recall reading that the Skyvan was locked in (could be age creeping up on me). Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  8. I'll be rolling in Thursday morning and will be glad to help fill up loads... once I'm settled. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  9. What’s the general consensus on a Pfaff Model 230A for general repairs, etc.? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  10. Hell... Add me to the list. I'll make the drive up from Ft. Walton. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  11. Arvel... What Up!!! Still in Florida doing the SOCOM thing. Should be back in a 8 months (for good ). Kept my house and car there... Oh yea, and the wife Hey... Weren't you supposed to give/send me a shot of our heli jumps? See you soon brother. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  12. Alright you animals… Got room for one more out-of-towner in the Otter? I’m in Florida from Hawaii doing some training and sounds like an “interesting” party worth the drive. I usually hit the Farm 1-2 a year. I have all my gear, just need some friendly jumpers and an airplane. Need anything, other than more beer? See you all Friday afternoon. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  13. Slotperfect… All, Looks like B&G will only be two days this year, 14-15 November vs. four days like previous years. Ike posted B&G dates on Knights Facebook page. I was surprised to see only two days for event especially since Veterans day is the Wednesday before. May not be worth the hassle of coming in from out-of-state if only two days giving that Sunday will be “tear down” day (less jumping). OP: Per the rules, you must be on orders or PTDY. Although event details/requirements aren’t posted yet, check the Knights web site in the next few weeks as I’m sure the B&G link will be up. It’s a worthwhile event and a way to get a LOT of free jumps and hook up with other military jumpers. If I’m not deployed, I’m there every year. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  14. Yea... not very many folks doing it now days. We have one local on the North Shore that comes out every few months and does a jump. Oliver Furrer also makes his annual trip to Hawaii and does some interesting things here for 2-3 weeks a year. The only time I ever get to see it up close and personal is when Oliver is here. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  15. What: Helo Jumps (MD 500) Where: Dillingham Airfield, North Shore Oahu (Aloha Clubhouse) When: July 4th, skids up at 7:30 Cost: $60 Altitude: 6K+ (as fuel burns we'll keep going up) If you are in town, come join us. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  16. I live and work in Hawaii and make an annual trip to The Farm just to jump with folks there. Has my vote as best DZ in the business. You can't beat the vibe and experience level in all disciplines. Best of luck during your upcoming AFF. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  17. Any news on potential dates? Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  18. Any pics or links to pics... Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  19. Ok... Maybe a troll, maybe not. However, I will tell you this... if you earned a rating with one of the well known & respected CDs out there, you EARNED it. I was one of those that did not make it last week (as Douglas alluded to). I now know I need to spend some time on my belly. Sure, I can burn a hole in the sky doing belly to earth military jumps, but there is MUCH more to it. Oh, and don't spend the last 1000+ jumps freeflying In these courses, as Pops suggested, you will need to demonstrate your abilities "by a large degree". At least with Jay you will... No gray areas. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  20. Ok... Been meaning to post this for some time now. Here is what I believe to be a truly one of a kind Mirage... MT with a Neos 104 and PD126. Cordura was supplied my me. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  21. Doug (great PIA coverage again by the way!!!) is right about jumping the North Shore. However, given the right conditions and a proper DZ briefing you should do just fine. I'll be glad to do your coach/currency jump... PM me and I'll give you my contact info on the North Shore. The weather is forecasted to be excellent this weekend...Light to moderate trades. However, as is typical this time of year, expect trades to pick up as day progresses. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  22. Ditto. I've had my Alti-Track for about two years. the O-ring that circles the lens had disintegrated. Mats asked me to send it in for a look (over the holidays mind you). Two weeks later, there was a BRAND NEW Alti-Track at my door. And, they even transferred my jump data over. Completely unexpected customer service... The Best! In these tough economic times, L&B stand head and shoulders above almost all. L&B (Mats), thanks for the great service. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  23. I could be mistaken, but doesn't the PDFT use a similar system... or at least a few of them? I recall one of them packing next to me and he clearly used a "figure 8" to stow the lines. The lines were then secured using tuck tabs. He was finished in just minutes. I remeber thinking to myself, would be great to have something simlialr in my Mirage. But, figured it was a "one-off from Sunpath to the team. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  24. Cari, It's pretty much as Cloudtramp describes. However, I'm partial to Pacific, but jump at both (plane whore I suppose). Skydive Hawaii does have a "B" license; 150 jump minimum requirement... unless you completed AFF there. So, come on over to Pacific and we'll get you set up. I also want to stress the importance of situational awareness while jumping on the North Shore. Winds are higher than the mainland and during winter months surf is very high. A good DZ briefing, watching ops for awhile, and not exceeding you limitations are key. Send me a PM if you need anything else. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
  25. Hell yeah... Julio makes one HELL of a suit. I've sent mine back for mods and minor repairs and julio almost never charges. FANTASTIC customer service. My suit has about 1000 jumps +/- and is still in great shape. My partner Shawn (background) also flies a LS. I'll see if I can find better pics. But hell, North Shore with Ka'ena Point in the back ground is hard to beat. Don't be sexist… Broads hate that.
